    It's still coming. A picture of a Friends retailer exclusive set just surfaced a couple days ago, so it's possible other exclusive images might start turning up soon (assuming it's a June release).

    That's cute. "Yellow submarine" only became a slang term for pills after the song, which is deliberate nonsense written for children, became popular. I understand lots of people really really want everything to be a drug reference, though, so believe whatever you want.

    Probably mostly has to do with what Marvel chooses to prioritize in merchandise, but the fact that the last X-Men set was the worst-selling Super Heroes set of 2014 likely doesn't help either.

    So, here's a question I'll throw out there to see what people's perspectives are on it: Do non-minifig-scale submissions stand a better chance in review? The Maze is the thirteenth Ideas/CUUSOO set overall, and the seventh to be at a scale other than the "standard." The Caterham and Adventure Time figures, assuming the final products are pretty close to the submissions, would bring the score up to nine. Since the vast majority of regular LEGO sets are minifig scale, I wonder if going against that might improve the odds that one's submission is something TLG's own designers might not have thought of already. (Not guaranteed, of course, just more likely.) Thoughts?

    Yeah, I don't expect any discounts any time soon - retailers want to make sure plenty of merchandise is still on the shelves when the movie is out.

    I would say that is, indeed, way off base. Keep in mind that no merchandise whatsoever featuring the new Spider-Man suit - action figures, keychains, Underoos, whatever - has been revealed (not counting that one hoodie leaked two months ago that isn't even an accurate depiction). It's not a matter of concealing his mere presence; Marvel was very diligently hiding exactly what the new costume would look like. There's no real reason to believe they're hiding some other major spoiler.

    As much as I want to see a modular library, I knew this never stood a chance, and not just because of the size. Modular buildings are already a well established theme/subtheme, so unless an Ideas submission does something wildly original with the concept, it's extremely unlikely that it will be something that hasn't already been considered internally. Best case scenario is that there's already a library in the pipeline, but there's also the possibility that a library had already been proposed and rejected by the design team long before the submission was ever posted.

    Only the three retailer exclusives (Rescue from Ra's al Ghul, Doctor Strange, Civil War #4) have yet to be revealed, but that should be it for the rest of the year. I'm pretty sure there are key rings for BvS and Civil War figures due at some point in the near future.

    I am fairly certain it comes out in June, but don't quote me on that.

    I personally plan to get some DCEU sets eventually, but probably not until Wonder Woman and Justice League sets start to roll around. When you look at the Marvel side, the more recent sets are major improvements over the first Avengers and Iron Man 3 lineups, so I expect DC to improve similarly once the designers have more source material to work with.

    I'm not a fan of Star Wars. So you know what I do? I stay the hell out of discussions about Star Wars.

    If we're trying to look at it "logically," the most likely figures are: -Spider-Man -Whoever the hell else shares a scene with Spider-Man, so since there is no solid info on the circumstances of his appearance, it would be pointless to speculate on other figures just yet

    Can't speak to the Australian situation specifically, but I have noticed the same thing here. However, it has nothing to do with anything being intentionally held back; those sets are just so overwhelmingly popular that they're selling out faster.

    Retailer exclusive. Don't know price for sure but probably $30. Betting on a June 1st release. That's it so far.

    Well, crap. Now that I know these exist I really really want some. Anyone seen any pictures of similar test prints on torsos?

    Yeesh, not every new avatar has to be a reference to a new figure, folks. You're not going to find out anything about the fourth set from me anyway; I'm actively avoiding learning more about it because I would like to be surprised by Spider-Man's appearance in the movie.
