I took advantage of the 'Early' VIP Brick Friday offers last night, which were worth staying up for. I ordered: UCS X-Wing (10240) for £152.99 + a further 10% off which ended up as £137.69 UCS B-Wing (10227) for £135.99 + a further 10 off which ended up as £122.39 I was quite pleased with a discount of 20% and 30% respectively, it almost makes up for the (lack of) May 4th offers in the UK

It will be interesting to see what the actual RRP for the new microfighter(?) sets will be. The current series of Planet sets in the UK are priced the same as the Battle Packs which is, quite frankly, totally nuts! The last series was on constant sale for months, and even then they weren't flying off the shelves (I got several at 50% off). I just hope that it's in the £8-10 range otherwise I'll wait for a decent sale. I'm sure that they're great fun for kids, but I'm happy to pass unless they're seriously discounted. I'm really impressed by the new Palpatine though, he's really cute!

Thanks, but the link doesn't work for me Does it have another exclusive minifigure?
-
Great work, well done! I hope that the next official system-scale version is like this!
-
The UCS R2-D2 is currently 25% off at Argos (and you only have to purchase one! ) so that's £112.50, plus you'll get a £10 voucher! I couldn't resist at that price!!

I'm really not sure about the new Chewie, is it just me or does he look just slightly possessed?! Also, why are the Royal Guards weilding lightsabers....they had a staff in ROTJ? And, while I'm on a mini rant, why have Lego added created those pointless new blasters; perhaps it's to make the flick-fire missiles look good! It's all a bit of a non-event for me, I just hope that the rumoured UCS sets become a reality.

Hi Kaan697, and welcome to Eurobricks! I've merged these threads together, as they're all very similar

So was I!! I'm a great fan of the colours from the Classic Space sets, but I think that it would look better with either the Executor (10221) or Star Destroyer (10030) engine colours; the trans-green is a bit too bright for me! Have you got any ideas for your next LDD project? How about a UCS Palpatine's shuttle...it would only need 2,500-3,000 parts- 88 replies

It's looking great so far Bob! I'm not sure about the engine colour scheme though, it looks like it's from the mid 80's- 88 replies

Hi Dino There's a thread about it on Brickset: (link). If you look at the posts during the last couple of weeks there's been a lot of talk about it. Nothing is 100% certain yet, but it's looking very likely that the AT-AT and Slave 1 are next in line to receive the UCS treatment
-
Great work VanTim, and welcome to Eurobricks
-
I can't see the Slave 1 being above 1500 parts, and I'm expecting something very similar to Anio's or cavegod's versions. At that size it should be around the same price as the current X-Wing. If they decided to make it far larger they could, in theory, make a new dedicated part for the canopy. If it's true I can see myselfy ordering them as soon as they're available.... I just hope that they do them to the standard of the UCS Imperial Shuttle or Falcon. 2014 should be a great year to be a AFOL!
-
Apologies, I'm not sure how I missed this!
-
Excellent news, if that's correct  These should be superb sets if they're done to a decent scale; I'd like to see the AT-AT somewhere around the 3-4000 part mark. As much as I love my 10178, it would be great to have one that's more accurate. Next question is how much they'll be.... I'd guess £300+ Time to start saving!

My UCS B-Wing arrived today, which was rather surprising as I'd only ordered it on Sunday afternoon I wasn't expecting to say this but I'm really quite impressed by the box! It's a nice size and it looks far better than any photos that I'd previously seen of it. I'm actually quite looking forward to building it, and might grab another one before they're finally discontinued in the UK.
-
It looks like I'm in the minority on this (as usual!) but I quite like it.... he's either bemused or had far too much caffeine!! I guess that the final versions could still be changed, unless they're already in mass-production.
-
I finally gave in and ordered the UCS B-Wing Following the dismal 'May the Forth' promo (or lack of it, in the UK!) I was determined to wait for a decent sale as a matter of principle, but as it's now discontinued in the US I felt that time was running out to grab it, especially with double VIPs at the moment. I just hope it actually looks better than the photos I've seen of it. It has to be said, I'm fairly underwhelmed with the Lego ordering recently....I spent 50 minutes on hold on Friday night before giving up, and the website today was really struggling to do anything!

Most stores will offer set price 'bands' depending on the weight (i.e. 250g, 500g etc). Once you've got a rough order in your Cart go to the checkout, and at the bottom of the order screen it will give you the approximate weight of the parts.....you can then add or remove parts as required. Provided that you take account of the potential packaging weight (box or padded envelope) you should be able to 'optimise' the total parts against any postage costs. Some stores have a minimum order size and/or a maximum number of lots (part types) but it should be clear on the 'Splash' page. I've used Bricklink lots in the last couple of years and it's great fun (I've built a 10179 and 10143 from scratch ); all of the sellers I've used have been great. Personally I only buy new parts, but that's just me. There's also an option to create a 'wanted' parts list but unless your ordering a lot I wouldn't bother!! I hope this helps. Cheers, Robin

Hi Ben Although this one is 'only' 2 metres long it might be of some help (link). I remember seeing one advertised on Ebay about 12 months ago that was 6ft+ and looked very stable. If you do a Google search for 'Lego 6 feet Executor' you should find some images of it, I think that this is one of them. Good luck with the build, and please post updates on your progress

Hi Brian, and welcome to Eurobricks! This is starting to look really promising. I particularly like the scale you've chosen; larger than the current system set but not quite as imposing as the UCS version. You should be able to add a nice amount of detail without it turning into a money pit! Apologies if you're already aware of it, but have you tried Bricklink as a source of parts? Obviously you'll need to shop around, but if you can find a decent supplier (or two!) they will be considerably cheaper than Pick a Brick for the majority of parts. I can highly recommend byggeklodsen who are in Denmark; I've used them several times and they're service is superb. Anyway, good luck with the build, I'm looking forward to more updates

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
Lobot replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
It's imminent....there's been a lot of work going on behind the scenes. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but it's going to be very different from Episode I -
Hi pihlbrick Good design and instantly recognisable You can add the photos to your post by clicking on the 'window' icon (bottom row, middle) in the toolbar and then pasting in the file pathway in the 'URL' box. Please let me know if you have any problems with it, I can always update them for you
