I guess that around 300 of them will be in the tracks You're right though, the rumoured part count does seem rather high for the model that we've seen. I'm quietly hoping that it has some PFs, a RC version would be great!

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Avenger (Imperial Headquarters)
Lobot replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I'm determined that the Empire will win this time, especially after the 'difficulties' we encountered for Episode III Is it worthwhile deciding what everyone is going to build via PMs? I'd be happy to act as co-ordinator if that's any help? -

Hi Nom, count me in, it's time to dust-off my LEDs -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Lobot replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd contact Customer Services, I'm sure they'd be interested to see it and would be happy to send you a replacement The part numbers are usually included in the instruction manual, which are available on the main Lego website. I would add a link, but I 'upgraded' to IE 11 a couple of days ago and I can't for some reason -
Great work Anio! You've made the best replica of this that anyone could expect, considering its awkward shape. It looks very professional and could easily be an official model; I especially like the shape of the turret and the interior which add some interesting details to it.

And here's a screen-grab from the video, it looks UCS to me, the feet are a total give-away!! I'm soooo excited now!
-
Great find, Brickmamba! That looks like a scan of the new Visual Dictionary, it's very similar to the style of the old book. Perhaps it might include some images of the (new) UCS Slave 1 & Falcon.....ok I'm probably being a bit too optimistic now!
-
Although it's not the best quality image, it's not 7965. The ship is far wider and narrower than the current version, and it looks remarkably like 10179 apart from an updated cockpit. If you look at the landing feet, they clearly have part 6222 (link) which are used in 10179. The feet on 7965 are rubbish in comparison, and don't look anything like those in the video. And yes, I do realise that I've spent far too long looking at UCS Falcons!

Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List

+1 for Sir_Basil_Ashton A pleasure to trade with! -
Thanks for the review HandofBobb, I'm quite tempted to grab this set if I can find it at a small discount! And....
-
I've probably said this before, but I hope that they do re-release the UCS Falcon (or something very similar to it). The after-market price has got to a very depressing level and it seems to have attracted a new breed of 'speculators' to Lego in general, rather than genuine fans of it. I'm not against capitalism and others funding their hobby with a few sales, but it's just getting too much for me... perhaps a tactical re-issue by Lego would be an inspired move (and limit the chaos that happened with 41999 for example!). Anyway, that's enough of a rant for today, but I'm eagerly awaiting any news about it
-
I thought that, but I read a while ago that it doesn't affect springs at all if they're kept compressed for long periods.....I didn't notice any problem with my old Slave 1 and it was kept like that for ages!

Bricklinked UCS Millennium Falcon - MODded heavily
Lobot replied to ScottishDave's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi ScottishDave, firstly apologies for the delay in posting, I intended to reply when you started this thread but must have got side-tracked! I've had a major thing for the UCS Falcons myself and it's interesting to see some of the changes you've made. I particularly like the re-designed engines and, combined with the LEDs, it's a great improvement on the original. I also love what you've done with the top plates in that area. However, I'm not too sure about the extensive use of dark-green trans studs in the interior, it's a bit too distracting for me Keep up the great work, I'm looking forward to seeing the final version -
That's a great set, and well worth that sort of price. I sold mine a couple of months ago to make some room for the (imminent) arrival of the UCS version!
-
Mine arrived safely today, they're beautiful! Thanks CopMike for running this again, you're the best!
-
And to lighten the mood a little..... Weren't the Jawas the little small brown guys that lived in the Sandcrawlers.....I don't imagine that they'd consider it unless it was an insurance job FBTB have some decent photos (link)

Good quality reviews are always appreciated on EB!

Yes, I saw that as well, and personally I hope that it's true. The current price of the 10179 is just ridiculous and anything which will bring it back to a reasonable level can only be a good thing. I'd be happy with either a straight re-release, or an updated version. If Lego were feeling especially clever, perhaps they could retain the 10179 and then add an extra 2-300 parts which would update the design to the Episode VII version, so you could have either
-
Thanks for the review Davor, it's quite a nice set but seems very expensive for what it is An easy pass for me, unless I find it at a considerable discount. And is it just me, or does Tarfful look slightly possessed or vampire-like?
-
The more I look at Mos Eisley, the more I'm impressed by it, well done Lego! Oh, and I'm delighted to see that the designer resisted the urge to add a battery of defensive flick-fire missiles to the bar roof! Perhaps they're listening to AFOLs after all....the one added to Jabba's Palace was just pointless.
-
The new Mos Eisley set looks really good, although the Dewback looks a bit too realistic for me somehow Ah well, it's a must buy for me anyway, and it's great to finally have a set that I'm looking forward to building!

The new TC-4 minifigure is now available in Toys R Us (UK), albeit in very limited numbers. They are free with a SW purchase above £10, or you can buy them at £2.49 each (limited to two per customer). Not a bad little minifigure, and certainly worth adding to your collection
-
I've just noticed that the new TC-4 minifigure will be available at TRU (in the UK at least!) for a very reasonable £2.49
-
There are several T-C4s appearing in the wild, it's bordering on cute I'd be quite happy if it's the May 4th promo.

I have a bit of a problem with 'awesome'....it's not a word that someone in their late thirties should use that frequently!
