Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Lobot replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi coolspot, and welcome to Eurobricks! For future reference there's a general Q&A thread pinned to the top of this forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit Cheers, Robin -
Reading CM4Sci's post again, I think he means that the set is half of an octagon, with each of the 'quarters' being a sub-scene. From the description it seems to be a reasonable replication of the film set, albeit half of it! Logically it may be possible to put two sets together to make a full version, which is perhaps TLG's intention. This is the first set that I've been really excited by for quite a while, and I'll buy it at the very first opportunity!

Thanks CM4Sci, that's great news! Please can I just clarify something that's been worrying me; is the set based on The Empire Strikes Back? In other words, do the minifigures look like normal OT ones, and not cartoon-based, and taken from some future spin-off? Please can I remind everyone that EB shouldn't be used as a method of transferring confidential images between members, so please refrain from making these sorts of requests in future

Thanks for the great review Michael I can't seem to muster much enthusiasm for the Episode VII sets at the moment, but perhaps that will change when I've seen the movie. If not, I'll only be getting it if I see one at 40% off, as it seems like quite a reasonable grey parts pack.

Hi Justin, it's good to see that someone else has been drawn into the addictive world of Bricklinking UCS sets! You've done well to keep it within 13 orders and £550. Both times I built a Falcon it was around £600+ although I did source only new parts and I tried to keep it original as much as possible. Your photos you've brought back a lot of happy memories and it's so exciting when all of the parts start to arrive! I look forward to see your next updates; it's massive when finished. Have you considered the Death Star II (10143); that's a great set to build and it's relatively cheap compared to a lot of others.

Another tired and unoriginal UCS Falcon topic..
Lobot replied to Wonderpants's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's probably a question that only you can answer. I really regret selling my last original one to be honest, but it had got to a point where it was worth so much that I felt guilty about having all of that money tied up in it, and also I was far too worried about it being de-valued by light and dust A Bricklinked one is probably more fun to own, and certainly more of a challenge to source, but if you have any sort of OCD characteristics about your LEGO, the 'imperfections' will start to bug you! Either way, it's an amazing set and I just hope that TLG will re-release it, or something almost identical one day. -

Hi Biomajor09, and welcome to Eurobricks! Unfortunately, your link doesn't work, but have you tried Bricklink as this has a full inventory of all SW minifigures (link). Alternatively, this website is very comprehensive and includes some great photos (link). I hope that this helps Cheers, Robin -

Hi LePickleofDoom, and welcome to Eurobricks! Hopefully some of the other members can help but, as Dhivael mentioned, Bricklink could be a good starting point. For future reference there's a general Q&A thread pinned to the top of the forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit Cheers, Robin -
Hi Unknownhero88, and welcome to Eurobricks! As far as I'm aware the only 'official' mention was in the list of larger/exclusive sets that was leaked at the end of last year. However, Brickset have a placeholder for a new un-named 'DC2' Star Wars set (75098) for $249.99 so there's definately something on the horizon! As it's likely to be released in 2016, I'll merge this thread into the 2016 Pictures and Rumours thread in a bit Cheers, Robin

Hi BraselC5048 For future reference there's a general Q&A thread pinned to the top of this forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit I haven't see anything myself, but hopefully one of the other members will be able to help. -
I don't see why you think that's a problem In all fairness to TLG it's remained at the same price in the UK since they released it in 2008(!) so I don't think it would be unreasonable of them to increase it. Even at 10-20% above the current cost it would still be very good value for money, as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Wampa won, and welcome to Eurobricks! I Bricklinked a 10143 a couple of years ago (link) and, although I guess it may be possible, I really wouldn't recommend it! The standard model is incredibly fragile and I don't think it would tolerate that sort of stress. Unfortunately the set is prone to flexing which won't help you; I think part of the problem is that the main vertical frame uses studless Technic beams rather than the standard studded versions. It may be possible to strengthen it sufficiently, but you'd probably need a lot of patience -

Hi Solscud007, I don't think this merits a specific thread so I'll merge it with the general Q&A thread in a bit. Nice photos by the way! -
Hi LegoAcklay There's already a 'Future Star Wars Sets' thread which can be found via the 'Docking Bay 326 - Main Index' pinned to the top of the forum. I'll merge this thread with it in a bit Cheers, Robin

VIDEO: Colourful Star Wars Poe’s X-Wing Fighter and Rey’s Speeder
Lobot replied to Zusammengebaut's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi Zusammengebaut, I've edited the title for you. I had to change the wording a little as I didn't have enough characters! And, yes, that's a very colourful X-Wing! -
Thanks WhiteFang for another great review! When I first saw this polybag I was really excited by it, as the artwork looked amazing, but it's quite a dissapointment to see the actual minifigure I'm not sure about the extra printing, it just looks a bit too much, and I would have preferred something similar to the promo TC-14 we had a couple of years ago, at least it was nice and shiny!

Hi jameseilers, and welcome to Eurobricks! For future reference there's a general SW Q&A thread pinned to the top of the forum. I'll merge this thread with it in a bit Sorry, I can't help you with your questions but hopefully one of the other members will be able to. Cheers, Robin -
Thanks for the great review WhiteFang I totally agree with you, it's a nice little set but the RRP is totally ridiculous! I'll probably grab one if I can find it at 30% off, otherwise it's an easy pass for me. I don't understand why the majority of this wave is so expensive (apart from the Falcon, which is actually cheaper than 7965 in the UK for some reason); I get the feeling that a lot of them will be heavily discounted in the run-up to Christmas. There are so many other sets currently available at the moment & I'm happy to spend my money elsewhere.

[MOC] Episode V- " We will test it on Captain Solo"
Lobot replied to KevFett2011's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Another great build, KevFett2011! The lighting is excellent and you've captured the atmosphere of the scene perfectly Are the top plates that create the top of the central platform attached to anything, or do they just 'float'? I'd be very interested to see how you (and markus1984) built it if you have any WIP photos.- 23 replies
