will you please share digital model? i would love to have enough time for this ;) I'd try to build it from older parts with 4-rotor blades, as i'm mostly interested in the gearbox and avionics (and then compare it to my redefinition of 9396 helicopter model from 42082 https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-95253/klimax/helicopter-42082-rough-terrain-crane-c-model/#details) will buy it later, once the price drops a little \thanks

42144 - Material Handler
ace_klimax replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
TLG has plan to release pneumatic backhoe? are there some of this rumours? I would be tempted. but funny thing, 2 months ago i just finished backhoe loader from 42082 set (so no pneumiatic, but just lineart actuators), inpired by JCB Sitemaster 4CX/5CX or CAT 444F2 more here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/klimax/42082-backhoe-tractor -
What i like: * panels (fan of orange pieces) * tires (finaly 4 tumbler tires in 1 model) What is missing 1) HOG (removable like in defender) 2) link joint to DRS 3) removable front wing 4) more detailed engine (but not with much system pieces!) 1-3 can be easily achieved and will be first mods, after set will be released On the other hand I understand not implementing 10-gear selector gearbox (1-8+N+R), because it's not mostly visible and speed changes in engine. I didn't want make some crypled version (2/4 gear) shifting in my MOCs from design point of view, it looks OK, some holes between panels might have been covered better 1-3 is easily doable https://bricksafe.com/files/klimax/42110-formula-1/03.jpg I might buy it second-hand or severely discounted at the end of production (for panels or tires), but i prefer mostly real technic models (gears and functions)

[APP] BrickController2
ace_klimax replied to imurvai's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I want to thank developer of this app to allow me to use physical controller for my RC creations. It allows me to make really enjoyable RC models for my children. I understand android limitation to keep phone display 'shining', but at least some diming should be fine, if possible. Many thanks for your work. some of my creations https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-100846/klimax/motorized-excavator-42100-c-model https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-43014/klimax/24-hours-le-mans-car-rc-version-42039-alternate-42077-c-model https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-41657/klimax/trophy-truck-rc-version-42077-c-model-baja-dakar-trophy-truck-or-stadium-super-truck https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-39160/klimax/trophy-buggy-rc-version-42077-c-model-baja-class-one-unlimited-buggy-or-dakar-ssv https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-52096/klimax/42069-extreme-adventure-wheels-mod-nonrcrc https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-51166/klimax/fast-buggy-8048-alternate https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-93959/klimax/4x4-extreme-offroader-42077-alternate- 1,309 replies

hello, I don't think so, LEGO is trying to avoid higher speeds, so it is not potentially harmfull to to little children. Buggy motor is the history and all new PU sets are slow as hell. So then comnes us as MOCers to come with fastest solution fomr existing motors ;) Thanks fo liking the model, have you built it? and if yes, how do you like it, how does it drive?

42124 Off-Road Buggy

google disk, dropbox? https://blog.bit.ai/free-file-sharing-sites/ -
Thank you very much for your software, i've just tested lxf2ldr.html and it works flawless I'm creating submodels in ldd mainly as steps adding new bricks, so when transforming via your code and loading to stud.io, my model still needs some polishing of releasing the steps and creating real submodels, but its much better, then creating it from zero. Big thanks

42124 Off-Road Buggy
ace_klimax replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was thinnking about gear ratios on back axle and couldn't figure out the gear hidden behind wheel to comply with 36 visible connected to motor on lenght of 5 studs. Will there be whe newest differential? And if I'm not mistaken, differential might not be good idea for buggy, where there is a possibility that wheels will bounce off the terrain and it might loose traction on 1 wheel limiting traction on other wheel, that actualy stays on the ground. I experimented with this on my RC version of 8048 buggy (https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-51165/klimax/8048-buggy-rc-mod/#details) and never thought putting there differential for the reason written above. Can you share digital model of this buggy? thanks -
Little update on building the 3d model. Gearbox is ready, but providing only 5 functions All functions are working fine, i just needed to slow gear movement a little bit, so it's not so quick, with exception of rotors rotation, which should be quick I spend at least 3 weeks tuning the gearbox and all connected gears and axles, to squeez it inside the plane body, which wasn't easy (and i was not able to fit there the 6th function unfortunately - so reel with hook would need to be operated manually) one win is is allready connected to plane body

I built it in red, but little different. I used 42082 Rough Terrain set as base, so this MOC will be 100% from this set without any other parts (sadly for tractor tires) But it came really well, details bellow: https://bricksafe.com/pages/klimax/claas-xerion-5000-trac-vc-with-8-attachments-from-42082 https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-47508/klimax/claas-xerion-5000-trac-vc-with-8-attachments-42082-c-model-42054-alternate/ Including 8 attachments (mostly new) , so for (at least my child) the playability is perfect :)

Hello, best would be, if you'll follow me on rebrickable, so you will be notified by email about any new moc I come with ;) I had some vacations (and also some ahead of me) so the progress is slow. I have finished the 'gearbox', i'm starting thorough testing with connected wing I have to find if some speeds aren't too slow or too fast and maybe introduce clutch pins to rotor blades rotation Unfortunatelly i couldn't squeeze intended 6 motorized functions, so only 5 are there (rotor blades, landing gear, wing rotation, gondalas inclination, cargo bay door) Not sure if i'd implement rope with hook as manual function - space is there wing with gondolas and tail with active avionic surfaces isn't modeled in 3d yet, but are allready built and tested ;) (see previous post) I have allready seen instructions for canceled official model - I've taken totally different approach of leaving as much as i can cargo space free, possibly building some smaller model of car inside it my gearbox is positioned horizontally under the wing right behind the cabin the only thing I might borrow from official model is the function of upper part cargo bay door opening in oposite direction as the lower ones - this is really ingenious function I hope to finish the model in 2-3 weeks, and then will come some time for test builds and instruction making - it maybe take also a month to finish

Using 3385 parts only from 42082 set (83.3%) Tractor is alternate of 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 TRAC VC Color design - red hood and roof, dark bluish gray cabin, black outside surfaces, different color for important details All functions from 42054 remains: Motorized functions: * cabin rotation and elevation * schaft driving Power Take Offs (front + rear) Manual functions: * Hand of God with 3 steering modes: * 4 wheel steering * front axle steering * crab steering * PTOs elevation New functions + details: * front exhaust * reinforced front and back axle * improoved front axle steering by adding second liftarm * front engine trunk is operated via linear actuator 8 attachments: (all can be built at the same time) Manual: * snow plough (front/rear) * dead weight * water tank for animals * herse Motorized: * dual lawn mower (front/rear) * reel and hook - both direction operations + neutral for freely unload cable * windmill (ECO) Building of a crane was not possible due to missing second large turntable, on the other hand remaining pieces gave me plenty of options Why windmill? I came with the question, if there is any tractor, that is strictly battery powered - everyone is thinking ECO these days. Right now it doesn't exist, but there are some studies of how it should work. My idea came like this: windmill has integrated battery storage and acumulates energy thorough the day. For every night tractor connects to it to recharge. There is also aditional diesel motor. Windmill is realeased as separate freemium model All attachments are compatible with original 42054! 392 pages of generated instructions for experienced builder (A4 landscape orientation) - sample on bricksafe Instructions created by KAMEIV Sorry for the long video, I wanted to show all functions, and there is plenty of playability with this moc! I always liked 42054, but it was released in my dark days, when I wasn't interested in lego. This model is so good, that's almost impossible to get it 3 years after it's release date, and noone is selling it in second-hand market. So I decided to build it from newer set. Funny think though, once finished this moc and prepared for shooting video I found it for good price on aftermarket, so now I have original and alternate ;) It took me about 2.5 months to finish this creation.

It should work as clearly visible demonstration of gearbox. Rotor can be positioned in 90degrees. 135 steps of instructions from bricklink stud.io in freemium scheme created by B4 (Niklas Mücke) - You can either buy this instructions on rebrickable to appraise our work and keep this site running based on provisions - Or you can freely download LXF file from bricksafe and try to build it based on 3d model (you need to open it in developer mode!)

https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-44802/klimax/propeller-plane-42040-alternate-42077-c-model https://bricksafe.com/pages/klimax/propeller-plane-from-42077 Build only from parts of 42077 model Using 63% parts Dimensions 36x44x14cm Functions: * engine and propeller is driven by small gears on floats * steering gear works like pilot pedals and are rotating rudder * driving stick is operating ailerons and elevators at the same time * opening cargo doors there are no spoilers or flaps on the plane my other models from 42077 set (can be found on rebrickable and bricksafe): History of this moc: After building Hydroplane Racer and Hovercraft for my son, he didn't understand the concept of 'plane on water', because never seen such thing. So wanted me to build real plane. I started small model in size of these 2 models, but soon decided to add more than rotating propeller so the model got bigger and bigger introducing functions. With size of almost as big as Prop Plane (old technic set from 1988) I could not fit every driving controller to pilots position and it was really hard to manipulate it by child, so I decided to move it outside the model. I strugled with making retracting landing gear operated from cabin and still moving engine pistons and propeller and at this point I remembered, that the lego technic allready has some really similar and newer set. I actually build almost the same model introducing 1 function on top of it. I just have to flip elevator moving direction. Floats was then easy, because pieces needed for them were stil available. I was not happy with color combination so rebuilded the model several times. Even finished model isn't much color pleasing :( but it's the best I could afford from available pieces.

I'm implementing rotation of a wing in my moc, but i don't think it would be possible in core 42113 model. You need to transfer at least 2 functions (rotors + gondola inclination ( + I'm transfering also flaps)) throught turntable (which is possible, but not in small horizontal space) Also the gearbox is mostly built in the central part under wings, so you would need to move it much lower Non-military version doesn't come with this retractable wings
