My originally reason to say that was because I thought you got a discolored brick in this set. I know that there is no colour medium bluish gray. -.- But I should have mentioned that. My fault

Part 1: - Part name: Slope 45 3 x 2 / 33 Left & Right - Part description: --> It's a slope corner piece which has a 45° slope on the 3 stud long side and a 33° angle on the 2 stud long side. It's actually this part down but cut in the middle between the two studs. 4861 - Part usage: --> I missed this part in my MOCs. It's important for corners where two sloped walls (one 45 and one 33) come together. Part 2: - Part name: Slope 45 3 x 2 / 33 Inverted Left & Right - Part descrition: Like part one but inverted.

I think I found the answer! https://swooshable.com/parts/76263 The Technic Flex system hose in LDraw is equal to the Bricklinks Hose rigid 3mm D. But they have different part numbers which was confusing. -.-

Depending on the BrickLink entry for this set the part shoud be Light Bluish Gray ->. I use them since years and I do have no issues. They only break at my case when they are old and brittle. The yellowing effect itself has normally no effect on the quality of bricks. It's a chemical reaction of the colours in the material. But Bricks that lie in the sun evaporate plasticizer which leads to that they lose their flexibility and break easily. This process is happening over the time anyway but is heavily accelerated when exposed to the sun.

Lego display room / game room ideas?
Robin_IV replied to Mattgintx's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How big is that center piece. I do not get the point. Depending on it's size it could be a sailing ship wich are always nice display models. Or you put all creator cars in a row. It could be also something asthetik like a huge minifig out of LEGO. a big legobrich or a big version of the yellow castle.Or you get the ship in a bottle which is a nice display stand. What is also a nice idea connected to the bar is you build Bottles out of Lego. e.g. Gorbatschow, Jack Daniels... Many ideas ;) -
Display case for LEGO® Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Robin_IV replied to lakea's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Welcome to Eurobricks! :) It's really beautiful work. The edges between the glass panels look very clean. Do you use acrylic glass or real glass? How do you connect the panels? What did you pay for the m² glass? If you want to post pictures in a topic it's better you upload them on a cloud like flickr, imgur or picasa and embed them in your post. So you do have unlimited space. Heres the tutorial: Flickr Tutorial -
Hello, I was looking for a thin hollow hose out of plastic which has the same diameter than a bar (e.g. Lightsaber) and which you can put in a hollow stud. In MLCad in the Technic Section there are following types: - 76263 Technic Flex-System hose 3L etc... up to 53L They do have this diameter. I was searching on BrickLink but there where no matches for the parts numbers or the name. Googles result for "Technic Flex-System hose" was Pneumatic hoses. But I know that there are existing hoses like I described. On Bricklink though I found the hose used in the Emerald Night named Hose, Rigid 3mm D. 16L / 12.8cm. Searching this tag in BrickLink: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=hose rigid#T=A But they are not existing in the LDraw Library. Can you help me? Which is the name of the hose I am looking for?

Really accurate car models. Will build them in the future too. -
[WIP] BMW i8
Robin_IV replied to Rolic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was sitting in an i8 last year. With 240 km/h on the German Autobahn. :) Your model is really detailed. The contours are very accurate. To find good rims in Lego is an impossible job. But this one are looking ok. As a windscreen wiper you can use a Katana Item No.: 21459 -
The fact is very interesting, that the Japanese soldiers carried big banners on their back while fighting. It was like the Roman Imperial eagle-cohort inspirating the troops.

Really beautiful collage. I love the shed with the use of the hinges for the beams under the roof upside down! The half-timbered house with the amazing black roof looks really beatiful. I always want to give improvement suggestions but there's nothing to say =)

Really nice work! I like the details on the outer wall of the fort and the houses. I always loved Imperial stuff. You seem to be a really experienced guy with MOCs. Nice tutorials on your website. I love your doors. :) Good for castles

Update II - 03.08.2018 - designing the ship - hull [c] - stern [c] - front [ip] - deck [ip] - mast [p] - other [p] ([c]=complete; [ip]=in progress; [p]=pending) I don't want to congest this post with images. So you can look at them in this album: https://imgur.com/a/EbpkzV1 Click on the images to get full size.

I wanted to build a BR 01. But after your post I do not dare anymore. :'( It is so stunning. Even people who laughed at me because I have LEGO said that they couldn't believe that something like this can be build in LEGO. Heres the prove. I have a question tough. The stickers with the golden Font and the transparent stickers with the white font. How did do produce them? At home with your printer or ordered them by a company which makes custom stickers?

Thank you for your feedback. This cannon is just for scale help. Like a ruler for me. :) I'll move it in a bit later on. This will also be easier for me to build the railing.

Ah ok. Thanks. An exclusive Set. =)

Sorry for the question but what means D2C?

Update I - 24.07.2018 - designing the ship - hull [c] - stern [ip] - front [ip] - deck [p] - mast [p] - other [p] ([c]=complete; [ip]=in progress; [p]=pending) It's time to update my work. After my posts in March I had stress with exams and a huge brick-blackout over eight weeks , which prevented me from working at my LDraw files. It's important to notice that I am aware of that fact that there is actually a ship named "Providence". But I gave the name before I knew that. -.- So my goal is not no rebuild the Original one. I want to make my own creation (MOC) in all in means. But two weeks ago I eventually started again to stack virtual bricks together! So now I have some results for you. I want to go along with you through my "little" project. (If you do not want read endless jabbering just watch my pics in my Imgur Album. Design - Hull [c] The last posts further up are made with the old hull shaping. But after you gave me hints and helped me (thank you so much @Anders T for your help!) I made a rethinking (and research) process and rebuilt the complete hull from the scratch. It's hard to describe but to see a real ship hull on pictures and to really build one are two complete different things. I very often slipped in producing a shape which was not accurate. Just stacked bricks like a steamroller. But after consult one's pillow I sat down again and again and now I have a hull I am happy with. :) It's not perfect but the biggest challenge was to get the curves of the cross sections like they are in real ships. This is a direct shot out of MLCAD from the front. As you can see it's not easy to get this bowy wave at the sides like on the right pic. From Behind you can see the slope side walls more detailed because from the front the section with the cannons looking at you cover them. The stern (where the black parts starting and upwards) is WIP so it's asymmetric. Here are some 3D views so you can get a overlook over my ship: You see that I put all bricks on each other which created rows which would not be stable in the real model. This is only for the designing process. So I can easer move the bricks around in groups. As you can see the hull is complete hollow. So there is much work to do. The single cannon on the last picture from the side marks the height of the upper deck. I will put a whole in the deck where the cannon is sitting like on real war frigates. So the gun row on the upper deck is interrupted. Also you can see my lanterns (Which became famous for all my viewers :) ) first time in action! I hope the hinges and clips will be strong enough to hold them. Front [ip] The front part is actually ready. But I have to put the small cannons there instead of the fat springloaded LEGO ones. Also I have to make holes for the anker rope. But how to handle this is written in the stars. Also you can see the transition from the vertical wall to the sloped side wall. Here is the upper left black tile (the one over the gun port) salient a bit. So this was the reason you saw this edge on the first pic from the front. It was the best result I could get. But nothing can be perfect right? Stern [ip] The stern part is my little child of sorrow. No Ldraw file of all have so many versions and reedits than this one. My main problem is that the captains cabin is always ending up too high. It always looks like a Vasa stern style. (Fun fact: The galeon "Vasa" was so heavy and unstable that it sunk 1300m after it's launching). This is also not made easier through the fact, that I haven't enough space over the rudder to build. Right after one plate height I have to put the hinges which hold the stern wall. Thought about Technic bricks instead of bricks. But this will be just another file version. But why just one problem when there can be two? The windows in the back are integrated in the wall which is held by many hinges. But the side windows are a real pain in the a♥♥. On real ships they are sloped in two ways if not three. Just watch my attempt. I think you know what I am talking about. :) Deck [p] When I completed the walls and stern I will pull in a deck for the first time ever. This will be the second ordeal for my ship after the hull. Mast [p] Mast and riggings are right now in the far future. I have my first concepts tough. But I want first complete the ship design itself before I really go into it. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hope you like my little journey. Objective and kind Help and Feedback is always welcome!

Technic 2018 Set Discussion

I appreciate your encouragement. :) -
Yes. Ldr files are working. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/upload.page You can also export your .ldr file in other formats and you can easily save a Part list in .txt format for extra control if you want. Ldraw is also working in Blender when you have the plugin installed.

Technic 2018 Set Discussion
Robin_IV replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have reworked my post to fit in this topic because before it was a extra topic & fixed mistakes. Should be more accurate now. If there is anything wrong yet a PM to me should do the job. ? -
Technic 2018 Set Discussion
Robin_IV replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I didn't mean all sets. Just wanted to mention that I am happy about the colours in the specific sets. -
I would highly recommend you to switch to LDraw. You have it so much easier to build your model and work with Models in your file. Also the .ldr Files are much easier to import and export in other programs like LDView, MLCad, Pov-Ray, SR 3d builder, LPub3D. You do not have to make a new topic for everything what you want to ask. You can answer yourself in this post for example or edit the first one. So others can follow easier. :)

Technic 2018 Set Discussion

A quick sum up Forklift Truck 42079 – 592 Parts, 69,99 US-Dollar; Power Functions not included Forest Harvester 42080 – 1.003 Parts, 149,99 US-Dollar; Power Functions included, with pneumatic Volvo Autonomous Loader 42081 – 1167 Parts, 139,99 US-Dollar; Power Functions not included Rough Terrain Crane 42082 – 4057 Parts, 299,99 US-Dollar; Power Functions included __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________-__________________ The Forklift Truck 42079 will be the smallest set in this row. Nothing special there. The Forest Harvester 42080 is my favorite set of this row. Not only that is is in my favourite colour Green but also there is Pneumatic included! It has several cylinders and a L-Motor which is driving the pump. There will be a new two-way-ventil but I don't know what that means. The Volvo Autonomous 42081 will be without Power Functions but you can see the gears to operate the features. It is a vehicle operated by a drone. There is actually no driver. The Rough Terrain Crane 42082 will be up to this point the largest Technic Set ever released with 4057 Parts. The crane arm can drive out up to 1 meter. Power Functions are inlcuded to move the arm and to rotate the drivers cabin. The price of 299,99 Dollars with a Price per part (PPP) of 0,074 $ with power functions is absolutely appropriate. The crane is higher than the old 42009. The power functions in this set will be the old first generation which is better. Not like the new train sets which have the second generation "Powered Up". What also is important to mention is that there are finally back the good old Technic colours red, yellow, black in most of the new sets. For the Rough Terrain Vehicle was actually a page on Amazon.co.uk created: https://www.amazon.co.uk/LEGO-UK-42082-Rough-Terrain/dp/B0792RDN2Z Crane in action: -
[REVIEW] Wicked Brick - 75192 - Millennium Falcon Stand
Robin_IV replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice review. I really want the Millennium Falcon. But the sheer size of this thing makes it upossible for me to display it. And 800bugs have to be digested.
