  1. It is for me. Too bad, I was looking forward to this set.
  2. I'm a Technic dude, but this is insta-buy.
  3. Very weak 1H, gonna build from spares. Maybe buy the Porsche to display next to 42056. Disappointing, considering last year I pre-ordered 2 Macks and a couple other sets.
  4. Will only say this: black+blue was the proper color combo. As is, it doesn't even look good, for a set made first and foremost to look good. Maybe it looks better in person, but from everything available online so far the crane has more style than this supermegawhatevercar.
  5. A real beauty, I absolutely love it. The details, the scale, the amazingly finished look, it's awesome. Would like to know more about functions, boom length and carrying capacity. All the best with your personal issues!
  6. Thanks man! This is going to look good for pics next to my A model, might make the B model as well from spare parts and photograph all 3 together :)
  7. Very nice. I'm definitely building this one if you get out instructions.
  8. I love this, the articulated section is perfect and the amount of tubes you got in there is amazing.
  9. The 42053 is a superb set very worth building on its own (my favorite set around ~1k parts). If you can still find it and on discount, you should buy it for itself. If all you want is the pneumatics, you might as well wait or BL the components which are sure to drop even further with new pneumatic sets being released. If you don't want to buy the 42043 and you don't like the 42053, BL the stuff hands down. The narrow cylinder is expensive, but everything else is at decent prices.
  10. Excellent work! Waiting for instructions and I'll build this before the A model (which I'm not a fan of tbh, I bought the set mostly for parts and hoping c-models like these would pop up)
  11. Different shades of blue? It will be considerably less attractive to me if it's not the dark azure+black combo, that light blue-dark blue combo posted above look awful to me.
  12. Don't know about others, but the info we already have (small watermarked images, price, brief description of functions), which will always be given early anyway for marketing purposes, is enough for me to know pretty clearly what I will be purchasing from 2H, I don't need detailed pics, videos etc. until the products hit the shelves. Speculating is nice and all, but if you're considering budgeting purchases you should already have a ballpark figure to expect to come out of your wallet either later this year or spread out over the production lifetime, so there's not much reason to be so impatient. Especially since most of the discussion is redundant unless you plan to buy the sets as they come out, as otherwise you'll just wait for detailed reviews and inventories etc. to decide anyway. Plus, I have to say, engaging in extensive discussion of products before they are even out kind of kills the buzz when you actually get your hands on them. It's often just better to get the set and discover it yourself while building it, as we used to do as kids. Although theorycrafting is fun on its own.
  13. Could use the instructions too, the photos folder is 404. Thanks.
  14. You must have wired something wrong there, I had no problem whatsoever with it. Here is how mine looked. Give us some pictures to try to identify the issue. https://imgur.com/a/mEKD6
  15. My jealousy intensifies...
  16. Yeah, I wasn't very happy with some things with the Porsche either, but it was still awesome. Plus we always have the community to make these sets much better; and the car display fans get a cool model; and Lego makes massive sales. Everyone's happy if you ask me, and I doubt we're ever going to get a set that will live up to our (community on the whole) (extremely high) expectations - even 42054 has some things I'd criticize, and it's possibly my favorite technic set. 42070 on the other hand...
  17. I don't think it's reduced interest, but an inability by most to buy large quantities. I'm sure blakbird would get a fortune for his stuff if he set up a BL shop, I know I'd certainly buy a couple things off him. But 100k parts in one go, no. So unless he lowballs so much of his work, the stuff is unlikely to fly out of the house. But that might be good, it makes me sad to see such a collection broken up. It should be (in) a museum.
  18. I had an extra Porsche and sold it to a woman who wanted it for her boyfriend because he was somewhat into Lego but had never had such a big set. But it was Lego, a super-cool looking Porsche, great gift for the "hubby" as she put it. It's primarily a consumer market, not a collector market. AFOLs often seem to forget they're not the target. But that's always the case with humans and their little bubbles that they build for whatever community they create, from the smallest hobby to political groups. I don't understand all the hate for the Porsche (despite its flaws), it's an awesome set overall (and let's be serious, no AFOL who wanted it had to buy it at RRP, and it will be the same with the Bugatti) We should be thankful they actually give a lot of importance to AFOLs and dedicated fans, building huge sets that don't really fly off the shelves in grandma's bag, doing complex and interesting builds and deciding things such as the Taj Mahal re-release.
  19. I think suspension is likely and claas steering is wishful thinking :)
