  1. Thats not at all what i was trying to say. Heres the deal ... I cannot build in LDD have no access to it at all no computer that can even run it currently ... Ive never been one to say you cant build in it ... Its been my experience in other areas of the forum LDD is accepted and I have seen a Digital side contest ... But its always been a physical prise means moc with bricks ... Im not in any wealthy position and only have the bricks I have because Ive collected since 1987. This is not a cheep hobby ... Trust me. Its all to easy ... I have over 500USD just in orders to suppliment my bricks on one MOC im working on and its only about 80% done. I agree that LDD gets held out of contests ... But instead of throwing a fit contact the organisers and see if theres a way to include the digital ... Even if no prise is given. This is The way I see it LDD gives you unlimited access to bricks shape and color. Yes its not always easy and has its own drawbacks and challenges ... It was seen as unfair in the begining ... Your lego collection maybe small but dont let it limit you ... The point of EB is to provide reasons to build and share and improve. Work hard put a little extra aside buy them on sale ... Lots of little sets add up ... Work towards the creator sets or brick bundles they can be very useful ... Money may be tight but eventually you will have a collection too. Give it time ... Keep building In LDD keeps you in practice
  2. @Eggyslav The way Ive always understood it (beyond my time here) is that LDD is not shunned but ANY contest giving a PHYSICAL prise must be built in physical bricks .... Im sure they can send you a LDD file of LESTER if you insist on there being a LDD subcontest. Im not Paytronizing as theres awesome creations in LDD but physical prises mean physical bricks .... Theres nothing stoping you from designing in LDD then ordering the bricks ...
  3. That is how i pictured it in my head ... Thank you very helpful.
  4. This is an impressive build love the details put into it Im afraid i was stumbling through your french just as much the corrish officer lol
  5. While impressive im afraid i was refering to the brick work thats made around the bars
  6. Somehow I missed this one ... Its a fine ship indeed ... It looks very playable. My favorite features are the triple lamps the colors and the clever railings of droid arms and flex tube
  7. Ahh another issue of questionable fine journalism. May have to try this marinated Rat lol ... Do like the new format it is more readable But dont mind me ... Im just sitting here enjoying a good Bru-Haha
  8. Ive attached the image I was trying to show you ... For some reason when I followed the link it displayed the pin with just this photo ... Less you clicked it ... As far as the DBs maybe bring it up in our faction thread ... I know if I had the coin I would loan it ... Its a beautiful ship so far ... Dont let that stop you though ... Even if you dont licence it right away
  9. I did some searching and came across THIS image ... Maybe we are just over thinking it lol but she seems to share similar lines.
  10. @Capt Wolf Janszen and Calvo set out at once for Poorvintia, where the La Contessa de Victoria was even grander then ever. However there was little time to marvel at her grandness and soon the Blood Diamond and the La Contessa de Victoria arrived in Hojaroja. There the Hidalga and the Esmerelda loaded with troops then joined the convoy. The mighty fleet was now a day out from Fatu Hiva where they had stopped for fresh water stores and resupplied as they did not know what lay in the unknown. Janszen stepped out onto deck and was greeted by Calvo. Commander what are your orders for the expedition? Commander ... Janszen was still getting used to that, but none the less he had decisions to be made. Option 1) Lets keep the fleet together for now and explore the first island. (Choose which island you wish to explore first and show how you plan to explore it. One build required) Option 2) Guilder wanted us to cover ground faster so we should split up into two groups. (Two islands must be chosen an separate builds be made showing how each island is explored) (Exploration methods could include but are not limited to coastline, landing for inland expedition, etc.) Note: 1 build is required for turn progression, however if choosing option 2 then two builds/vignettes are required, more are encouraged to aid your own story progression.
  11. @Bregir this turned out amazing such good shots and I love how all the other rooms turned out ... Really makes it feel like the estate was opened to the party. Ive been enjoying that sea green too lol. But most of all its awesome to see Sir Mowgli finally has a face to the name ... Im looking forward to developing his story progression with finding Bagheera.
  12. I like how you used the tan to depict cultivated soil verse normal desert the plants are very convincing and the harvesting action has good posing Is this agave suitable for tequilla?
  13. Im really impressed with the point work on the blocks filling the arches ... Any chance to get a breakdown on your method for this? Over all its a very convincing scene the posing and story play together nicely
  14. @Bregir ... The only thing i see is the event that a currently inactive players account does not have the dbs for upkeep of a ship(s) do they simply drop out of the active status as "if drydocked for repairs"? This may not be an issue currently but i could see it coming up with the new results ie: cargo lost no dbs added to a run (higher upkeep due to repair)
  15. Epa? No no epa here lmao
  16. @BartTry adding a section of b/w below the yard to raise the whole mast ... I wouldnt move just the yard. If it looks wrong what have you really lost? This would look swell with your billowed sail technique on the tops an gallents with the mains clued
  17. Initially I said the first yard should be another section higher (black/white/black) to bring the yard up off the deck ... But looking at the second picture ... It looks right .... Love the curve though is that the CGH tumblehome method?
  18. I would say #1,#2, or #5, but#6 is who you used lol
  19. Seems like a solid build looks good ... Do like the rock work base.
  20. I encourage you to finish this one out more the forecastle by the bow could use a couple doors and a nice headrail. The stern holding a shore boat will be a nice touch. To me she seems a bit chubby ... Too tall for her length. Over all though i like the colors and the slopes do make her look more ship like. I think this is by far one of your better boats ive seen. The new techniques show for sure in this. As well as good story telling to explain the lack of sails
  21. @Mesabi The motley crew had been assembled the marines had been retrived .... So far the Checkered Past had been a fine QUALTY ship. Much to the annoyance of Captain Angles, "Tony's Proclamation" of ships don't sink because Tony ... or something like that had so far been correct. Captain Angles retired to his cabin as he needed time to think. The intel he had gotten was certainly clear ..."Clear as muddy water! Typical of Scallywag Pirates!" he exclaimed. The instructions had been given in some sort of code to throw of any would be unwelcomed guests. He went over the riddle over and over in his head trying to make heads or tails from it. Sail quickly as natives may make your journey troubled so be ready to furl the sails on the double. Be cautious though my friend as the reefs will surely bring you to an end keep a keen eye out so as to not snag your keel. Don't be distracted by an sweet treats they will only lead you astray. Take heed me boy for these words will guide the way. . . How is this helpful he thought to himself ... Was there more to the riddle ... Surely he had been told the whole thing, but what was he to expect from a fella who misspells QUAILTY. At that moment his reflection was interrupted ... Sir we need to chart a course ... Where is it you would have us sail? An island must be chosen but which one should we sail to? (choose a island number [14-23 is zone 35] and show the team landing on that island based off the known island info. Build should also show how the team plans to search the island) Note one build is required to continue, however more are encouraged
  22. Im loving the new colors and the figurehead is awesome!
  23. I would like to know this as well ... Is it just gravity holding them together? The rockets are the main attraction for me but threse so much detail work in this ... Youve done an excellent job creating a busy fort ... I question the making of cartriges during an attack ... Even if only a drill... Great build great camera work
  24. Great story good show on the pirates part. The ships are both well built
