  1. Ironic, DO is one of my favorite modulars.
  2. I have to dig mine up. I got it at a tag sale for really cheap (like $5 for a box). It worked when I got it but I didn't have the wheels. Finally found some wheels at another tag sale and when I put it together to use it, no longer worked....
  3. Currently in the USA... I really wish I placed an order for some of those tree minifigure parts. Even if I just bought 5 of those, I have a feeling they won't be coming back in stock and resellers will be ripping everyone off with them.
  4. Dimensions was a massive failure... so maybe not the best point to make. Those fans are the only reason why some of them sold. I doubt most children know who Beetlejuice is, but their parents do and bought them the set for themselves.
  5. The carts from the big mining set are / were available when I checked a few hours ago.
  6. I bought my first Brickheads and I have to say, it's really stupid, but darn they are great piece parts for 30-70% off. I have the Joker ($3.50 USD) and the Beast ($2.50). I'd love to see what other licenses they get but agree that Nightmare Before Christmas would be a waste because they characters are so long and thin. I'm hoping for Mojo Jojo from Powerpuff Girls.
  7. LEGO makes some odd picks though the years. Train designers needed to fight for new train wheels, and the a few pieces. But how many helmets have we gotten throughout the years? LEGO made that minifigure tree piece before releasing a dress piece?
  8. I really think you need to check those pictures out again. Firstly it has three walls and a roof like the sadly now 'classic' Town sets did. Also it folds close to form a complete building.
  9. Yeah... of course not.... keep living in that dreamland. Maybe Town with 4 wide vehicles will return too.
  10. I do get a kick out of everyone who went 'yay Nexo is dead, maybe we can finally get real castle' and LEGO went 'nah, here is more Harry Potter!' haha
  11. Yes because living in the USA where 2/3rds of the population can't afford a $1000 emergency and I can't even afford the $100 random health bill I got in the mail. But yes, let me buy 2-3 of them. Or for $200 I'll just buy one of the much greater modular sets. How about LEGO actually makes buildings, like the Marvel set we are getting, and less walls.
  12. I'm really sick of LEGO making one wall sets. This is slightly better as it's almost two walls, but it still doesn't look right. The windows are great, new pieces are great. There just is something off putting about not having a ceiling on the inside. And on the outside it's too much dark great. I feel like light grey and sand green would have been better. The sand green really helped the old ones look a lot better.
  13. Weirdly they are even more expensive now.
  14. I swear legs were like 35 cents before and now they are 72 cents. But maybe I'm mixing up my P@B and B&P pricing. I haven't searched yet but glad the new three leaf piece is only 10 cents, seems like a steal.
  15. The cop minifigure is really weird. Like LEGO told the designers 'But you need a cop!'. I mean you can get an old one for like 4 cents on Bricklink.
  16. I actually think if LEGO did that many more AFOL would Nexo more.
  17. Every set has discounts. In the USA some Walmarts are clearing out Episode 8 Star Wars sets, there have been people buying the First Order Destroyer $140 normally) for $40. Discounts mean nothing anymore. I don't buy City sets unless they are 45-50% off. The only theme listed that I think really failed in LEGO's eyes is sadly Alien Conquest as that had a second year planned that was canceled at the last minute because they needed the production time on the machines to go to better selling themes / sets. Everything else made it to their planned ending.
  18. Those are the only original action/adventure/historical SYSTEM themes LEGO had in 2017. You counting Boost as a theme is laughable, same with CMF. Classic, Creator, Education are pretty much the same thing. Then there are minidoll sets that don't count. We are complaining about a lack of minifigure based action/adventure/historical themes. 2017 had Nexo and NinjaGo which are very similar and 2009 had Agents, Caste, Pirates, Power Miners and Space Police 3, spies, castles, pirates, sci-fi rock diggers and space police. That was a well balanced year.
  19. I've gotten into Power Miners on eBay recently. They came out in 2009. That year saw, Agents, Caste, Pirates, Power Miners and Space Police 3. Yes Space, Castle and Pirates all in the same year. Atlantis sets actually came out in 2010 and not 2009. According to Brickset that year had 479 'sets' (They count random things like glasses and cups.), 2017 had 840 sets and only Nexo and NinjaGo as themes. Sure we have minidoll sets and Friends and Elves are great, but we can't get a mini Space theme? Honestly Nexo Knights should just be a space theme. Maybe we will get Pirates next year for the 30th birthday of the theme, but they will just be rehashed like the last few times, or PotC. I miss the days random themes without TV shows. Atlantis was fun, love Power Miners, I wish I was more into Space Police 3 as they are actually pretty nice mixture of old style and new. I just miss having a wide range of yellow figures. I used to buy a few sets in pretty much every theme to get the minifigures, now that's not that difficult.
  20. I remember when the rumours were coming out about Nexo Knight before it's release, it went from fantasy, to fantasy steampunk to steampunk castle with space ships in like 6 months. I just want more in house themes using yellow minifigures.
  21. Episode 9 comes out 2019. I'd bet money the next Star Wars trilogy would be out in 2021. However doesn't LEGO Movie 2 come out next year? It's supposed to be a space base money.
  22. I love it. Reminds me of Copley Square in Boston. My favorite city park.
  23. These are neat. I want to make a beach scene through the seasons in New England (And New York state).
  24. Good. The London Toy Fair is useless waste of time with LEGO not allowing pictures.
  25. I love Power Miners and like what they are wearing. But for more useful helmets white would have been better. That was more of my point.
