  1. There was no 2020 police station. I refuse to admit that set exists even though I think I own it. (60% off) That reminds me I own the latest one and I never built it. I got it for half off. I have no idea where I put it. All the police stations in my town become office buildings as I don't have criminals in my town.
  2. VIdiyo probably did the CMF series first because the set designs were not good. The prototype models were so much better. The series also had cardboard boxes which wasn't smart. $20 for a minifigure also didn't sit well with parents. Blaming just one thing like apps is just being simple minded. Hidden Side and Nexo Knights several waves of sets. Clearly their failures are much different than Vidiyo. I think LEGO might get the hint that parents don't want apps with their LEGO. What are LEGO's biggest in house themes? City, NinjaGo, Monkey Kid and Friends. No apps.
  3. Do you think I'm reading all that garbage you and Killian post?
  4. We are getting a 1072 piece botanical garden!!!! Woohoo!
  5. Also try Best Buy. Not a ton of modulars but they have 'open box' lego for 25-40% off. I just bought the 007 car for $14. Literally just search 'open box lego'. I saw that it's three, which is interesting. However the list also doesn't have one retiring next year. So the three over three years would make sense. It's still interesting that the police station didn't get a price hike. Maybe LEGO was going to retire it in 2022 and changed their minds. I don't know. I like the angled roof and I like the curved front. If they went with either of those it bring more depth. Right now it's too flat. Front is flat, top is flat. I think the angled roof would have worked out nicely and been different.
  6. That doesn't look new to me at all, even with the new cheaper (bad) plastic LEGO uses. I get big straight scratches. Those look like someone wiped it in circles.
  7. If the set was $60 and had PRINTS!!!!!! it be a 'meh' fine City set with nice figures but $100 for that is insane.
  8. I'm fine with LEGO doing boy bands. They make enough sets for everyone and I like different. The song has 1.6 billion views...and it was in English. I was confused. But this... this is horrible. It might be an okay set if there were some, ANY, printed pieces and for a $100 for 750 pieces? No thanks. That's too much for the 7, pretty neat looking, minifigures. The Ideas thing was terrible to begin with. LEGO should have downsized the set because no one cares about anything other than the minifigures anyways.
  9. I'm curious, are heads 'upper torsos'? My favorite LEGO lingo is 'pricks', someone came up with it as the term for the two plate tall bricks.
  10. Good question. I'd say they hit the USA in April, seems Europe is having issues with the new pieces.
  11. You are the only person I have seen who calls legs 'lower torsos'.
  12. I got mine for $41, new, but opened because smashed box.
  13. That's good to know. So all the castle flags probably come in the one box too.
  14. It's currently $27.50 at Walmart and Amazon.
  15. All eBay. You can save searches. Just search whatever modular you want and check daily. They go quick so you have to be lucky too. I do the same with City sets as the USA prices are just insanity. Just remember you will not be getting a box. If the box matters to you then by from LEGO. Not really any tricks, just be lucky and not in a rush. I was never going to buy the Marvel modulars, but I saw they listed, offered even less and got lucky. I think one of the tricks might be to look for 'incomplete' sets. Like I care if it's missing a 1x3 plate when I'm saving $100+.
  16. Just keep looking for the ones you want, they are cheap because the boxes are destroyed. I just saw a Bookstore for $140ish. I bought the Daily Bugle for $225 because it looked like it was ran over by a truck. The Dr. Strange Apartment I got for $145 because one of the bags had a hole in it so it was listed as 'incomplete'. It was missing ONE 1x3 grey plate, no big deal. Just keep looking. Also I'm in the USA and these sets are store returns because Amazon is just slapping the shipping label to the box and they are in rough shape. If in other countries you might have less returns.
  17. Aren't those curved windows just the space shuttle part? It's also the part for Hydro Bounty 71756?
  18. The color of the signs is Chima yellow. I think it's suppose to look like a neon sign type of yellow. The color above the windows are a golden color. Those would have looked much nicer if they kept the main color dark blue like was planned. Jazz clubs have a blue / black / gold thing.
  19. That's really nice. Love the mason bricks on their side for the cab.
  20. I'd go with this. Double points will only give you like $12 extra in reward points. This set will have more than $12 value.
  21. It could easily be a real set. I actually like it more than the Jazz Club. I'm even more impressed by the back of it is super detailed.
  22. I have stopped trying to make sense of LEGO's logic, or lack there of.
  23. But as Karrit explained, what difference did it make? No one in the USA was getting their parts during the close time for everyone else.
  24. I still think LEGO should have released that bomb factory set and just changed it to a hot dog factory that the bad guys use. Just make bomb on the roof into a hot dog.
  25. My order from December took two months. I have another order from January and it's been 3-4 weeks.
