  1. Not this year. But remember the Airjitzu, how they gave Lloyd and Nya spinners in that set about Yang a whole year later? There's nothing saying there won't be something similar at a later date. For all we know there could be some sort of two-barrelled Dragon Flyer misile launcher set coming in 2019.
  2. Totally new? Ooh, goodie. I'm already sick of the Ninjago Movie ones.
  3. Sorry. I meant Dilophosaurus. I get them mixed up, because the names are so similar.
  4. When you say 'new' face prints, do you mean completely new ones, or ones that already exist and just haven't previously been seen in the Ninjago line? Because if it's the former, that implies pretty strongly that there'll be new ones.
  5. It iß a bit annoying, though I still have 2015's Titanium Dragon so I'm not too upset. Besides, there's still no word on if there'll be any retailer exclusives, so it's not impossible that they could throw one in at the last minute.
  6. I completely agree, that is a gorgeous dragon. The only complaint is that it looks like it reuses the eyes from the rhino; but the front claws look so perfect! And the cave is lovely too. I particularly like the watchtower. The gates under the Iron Baron's seat look excellently detailed too.
  7. I found the entire wave at my local Kmart. Including two of the retailer exclusives. (Anyone in AU who wants the Jurassic World set, or just desperately needs a diplodocus, head to Kmart and be willing to shell out $60 - something I, personally, am not. Sorry, Alan Grant.) I can also confirm that dinosaurs are, indeed, expensive. The pricing on the JW sets was significantly higher than other themes around the same size. $45 for the Stygimoloch Breakout . . definitely looking for a sale or discount. Does anyone know how long the shelf life of the line will be? Is it going to last the rest of the year?
  8. Don't forget me. There's no punk like Steampunk. And there's no other reason that I still have the Sky Pirates from Ninjago 2016 assembled and displayed. ^^ Shame it doesn't translate well to Modulars . . hey! How about some sort of Modular Guild Hall? Something along the lines of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?
  9. I would say get this; the Detective's Office still has shelf life through 2019, possibly beyond, so you'll have other opportunities, while if the state of most of the shops I've been to is anything to go by, everyone wants the Sanctum now.
  10. We have pictures of the Destiny's Wing now? Where? They're not with mario power. The Throne Room does give me some Kryptaeium Break-out vibes. But with all that black, red and purple, it definitely follows the S.O.G. trend. Is it too optimistic to hope that it has some way to combine with the S.O.G. Headquarters? Or at least that the two can easily be combined?
  11. Yeah, that is a shame. I guess I'll just have to grab one of my three Ninjago Movie Lloyds, or maybe the Spinjitzu Masters one, take the mask off there and use that. (I'll wait until the show airs to see which will be more accurate.)
  12. Differing styles isn't a big deal. You can walk down any medium/small-sized shopping street in a town IRL and find a hilarious mishmash of architectural styles and techniques from any point in the last 100 years . . at least, you can where I live. And I totally agree with the idea of combining official and original modulars. Take my word with a grain of salt, as I'm new to the modular scene (getting my first one, the Detective's Office, in a couple of weeks) but I think that the colour contrasts between a lot of the modulars make for some great diversity and really colourful streets. The best example of this is definitelt Assembly Square - all those colours are a real treat. Now if only it wasn't so ridiculously out of my price range . . :( And there's nothing wrong with interior detailing or even the occasional play feature. We all have to remember that, at heart, Lego is a toy. And perhaps the Modular Buildings are geared more towards us older fans. But is it really such a horrible idea that, every now and then, we might want to get them off the shelf, lift off the roofs to get inside the buildings, and actually play with our toys? I can appreciate that this doesn't appeal to everyone. But don't knock Lego for sacrificing a few centimetres' worth of building height, or a bit of SNOT, for interior detailing and enabling the buildings to be more than showy facades.
  13. Considering that 71022 is the product number of the upcoming Wizarding World CMF? I'd say this is fake.
  14. To be honest, I'm not sold on the walls being medium dark flesh at all. It's just such a common colour, when the Sanctum Sanctorum should really be anything but - and, based on my rewatching of Doctor Strange, it's not even all that accurate. I'll wait until I've seen how the Sanctum looks in Infinity War before passing judgement, but the way things are, there's only one reason I haven't Bricklinked replacements for all the flesh-coloured pieces in Dark Red . . and that's that not all of the pieces necessary currently exist in Dark Red, which is a bummer for sure . . .
  15. Really? Even with the big lab section on the top? That's impressive. Might have to rethink getting it, then . .
  16. Very nice @tkatt. The extra floors make a lot more sense now, and I particularly like the inclusion of the 1x1x6 pillars on the corners of the apartment building.
  17. Very nice. Particularly good work with the design of the titular straw hat; though I feel like making the red stripe more continuous would be a significant improvement. Good work with the hair as well, though I don't think the buttons on his shirt need to be quite so pronounced.
  18. This is beautiful. It is based on Disneyland, right? Any chance of an expansion into Indiana Jones territory?
  19. Very nice work, @tkatt. Though is the extra storey really necessary? That said, I'd certainly like to see pictures of the interior, and of how you solved the issue of modifying it to incorporate the Technic pins necessary to attach it to other modulars.
  20. This is brilliant. I love everything about this. And I'm glad to know all the tan baseplates that have vanished from my local shops are being put to good use. Minor thing; you might want to do a bit of dusting, particularly in General Manager Magmar's office. The dust is very apparent there.
  21. So, if you consider the way that 76108 Battle for the Sanctum Sanctorum is designed, it's pretty clear that it was intended to be easy(ish) to convert into a Modular Building. After all, Modulars, as a rule of thumb, have more or less eight studs of space on their footpaths, and if you arrange the Sanctum in its corner formation so that each side wall is flush with the edge of a baseplate, you are conveniently left with eight studs. Add that to it being exactly three storeys tall, and the fact that it can be reconfigured to function as a 32-stud-long facade, as well as fitting perfectly with official Modulars in corner formation . . yeah, this thing is a Modular Building in disguise. Therefore, I am opening the floor to any who wants to share advice or strategies as to how to convert it into a proper Modular Building. There are . . okay, there are bad ideas, but very few! So, who's feeling inspired? (Also, I figured that since this is discussing primarily Modular Buildings, it ought to go in the town section . . sorry if this should be in Licensed!)
  22. Hey, can anyone who already has both 41340 Friendship House and 41333 Olivia's Mission Vehicle confirm; does the Mission Vehicle fit inside the garage part of the Friendship House?
  23. I agree with you about the poor design of the eagle; I modified mine heavily to make it look both more accurate to the picture on the back of the box and to just overall look better. That said, I can't see any difference between the amulet in the Eagle Getaway and last year's Airship Chase (never got Goblin King's Fortress) . . ?
  24. That is a very nice-looking bag. Any idea where it'll be available in AUS?
