  1. As much as I'd love that, and it does make sense that Oni, as shapeshifters, would be capable of switching genders at will, I doubt they'd put it on a children's show. For PG-13 reasons. Though there would be something beautiful about a male Oni hiding by pretending to be a woman for years . . . I might use that in a story sometime, actually . . .
  2. To be fair, we've never been given a definite age for the ninja . . . or been told how much time passes between seasons. We know it was a year between Hands of Time and SOG, and Hunted picks up directly after SOG. And that there was a time skip of at least a couple of months between Final Battle and Rebooted, and Rebooted and Tournament of Elements. Honestly, I could easily my see the ninja as having been sixteen or seventeen at the beginning, with the Skulkin and Serpentine and Stone Army. Maybe Cole being a year older than Kai and Jay, Nya a year younger, whereas Zane's kind of ageless and Lloyd's all messed up because of the Tomorrow's Tea. I could see then being about nineteen (Cole being twenty) at Hunted. (Which would also work with the 'mature teenagers' line. Also, props to the show for calling out the 'longer legs' thing! XD
  3. To be fair there actually was a planned Snake Train set. It just got canned, But YES, I desperately want a version of the Overlord in his true, draconian form. If TLG finally did that I would love them forever (right after I finish cursing them for not making it in the first place!!!).
  4. I'm rooting for number 1. But I could live with 2 and 3. Time travel would be alright . . sure, the occasion way back in Final Battle wasn't perfect, but they handled it okay in Hands of Time. And we were promised that we'd find out what happened to Krux and Acronix. It still hasn't been explained how Wu came to be in the hands of the SOG, wrapped up in the map to the third Oni Mask.
  5. No, no no. The mistake they made with the Ninjago Movie was sacrificing plot integrity and character development for cheap laughs. But I could see a reboot happening. That said, I still think that the multi-season arc that's been going on with SoG and Hunted will continue in some way into at least the first half of 2019 . . though if a reboot was on the horizon for 2020, or even summer 2019, I could get behind that too. Still not entirely sure what to amke of the idea that they'll rerelease previous sets in 2019, hopefully in addition to a new wave of sets next year. Though, if the Serpentine are indeed returning as antagonists . . . well, it's not like Pythor's been conspicuously absent since 2016 . . . but that should really go in the show discussion, so I'll shut up.
  6. This. I have been waiting for a Water Dragon for three years. Come on, Lego, we deserve one at this point.
  7. You say that like it's a bad thing. XD
  8. It looks to me from the trailer like they're a single mold with her shoulder pads. And that they're 3D, not just bendable plastic. Besides, has any minifig from a movie ever been seen with 'papery' ornaments? Maybe Hawkgirl from TLBM - she only ever appeared in the background, so we didn't get a close look. But Sweet Mayhem is a far more major character than that, and Lego tends to spare no expense when it comes to kitting out the main characters of Movies. Emmet got new hair, Wyldstyle got a trio of hair/hood pieces, they came our with an entire range of special parts, from helmet to wig to shoulder pads to legs, for Lord Business, and that was just the original movie. I'm sure we'll get all sorts of new stuff for The Second Part.
  9. Is that so? Will they be updated versions? Will there also be totally new sets? Or is S10 just going to be revisiting a lot of the stuff from S1/2 for the sake of its own plot? This is going to be strange . . . can't wait to find out more. Still, I hope they aren't exact copies of the old stuff, because . . well . . Lego as it was in 2011 and 2012 doesn't hold a candle to Lego in 2018. So many new parts and techniques have been created, that it would be a shame to go back to the old styles.
  10. Well, you have to remember that the larger coaster doesn't come with a motor either, just a hand crank. And most people will probably have some gears and other parts lying around. If you can Bricklink a chain and a motor assembly, and use your own parts for the rest, it's still pretty cheap. Also, @SollX, how many chain parts did you need? I want an estimate for how many I should get for my own coaster.
  11. So a leaker called michael_bricks_vol.7 seems to have released pictures Mormon a new polybag pack. It consists of a bunch of sub-builds that seem to be designed to 'Max-Max-ify' regular City vehicles; adding oversized exhaust pipes, reinforced front bumpers, and even a crane. Anyone got thoughts on this fandom inclusion? Personally, I think it might be some kind of tie-in to The Lego Movie 2; we know about the post-apocalyptic setting that Bricksburg has turned into. These additions certainly make City vehicles look like matches for the theme.
  12. The premiere was awesome. The stuff in the Oni/Dragon Realm was definitely the hghlight, but . .
  13. I'm an Aussie. But I watched it on YouTube too. So I'm in the same boat. :P
  14. You think? I'd love to see Diagon Alley!
  15. They're an unfair and inaccurate portrayal of the books. A corruption, really. Though the do have their moments - the fight between Harry and the Hungarian Horntail in Goblet of Fire was almost rushed in the books, but the movie made it look great. (As a matter of fact, knowing that we'll likely get GoF sets, including the Horntail, next year, makes me very happy that the sets are based on the movies - it'll be awesome.) Not to mention the fact that the screenwriters contrived a lot of the events to push the Harry/Hermione pairing, including unfairly sidelining Ron and Ginny. And the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort in DH2 was a pale imitation of what it was in the books. Overall, the books are the 'more real' representation of what Harry Potter actually is. But the real question is; remember that Ollivander minifig we saw a while back? If he's not in any sets and he's not in the CMF, where is he?
  16. These are all awesome! I'm going to be so happy to finally welcome Mad-Eye Moody to my collection. Now if only we had Tonks too. Professor Trelawny is also awesome. I think I'm going to build a fortune teller's tent for her on my village's new boardwalk. And there's also a new leg mould? Medium-length legs? Wow . . . I can honestly say I didn't expect that - or, for that matter, the brand new briefcase mould that Newt and Jacob are rocking. Awe-some! Actually makes it a little strange that the new briefcase didn't come In the suitcase set, especially since they doubled up on Nifflers. But hey, Lego stopped making sense to me a long time ago. Speaking as a Ravenclaw, the fact that Cho Chang and her torso print exist make me happy. Might just create a variant on my sigfig in a Hogwarts uniform with her parts . . . Credence also looks great, though something about his hair bothers me a bit . . . And I love that Graves comes with an alternate wig. I'm betting he has an alternate face that 'reveals' him as being Grindelwald. Does anyone know when we can expect to start seeing the new 'medium legs' in actual sets? Also, why does Moody come with the tow Extra wigs? Do they represent something that I've forgotten about? (I know the sets are mostly based on the movies, which I refuse to watch on principle, so there are occasionally things I miss.)
  17. I think it airs on Fridays. So maybe the 29th?
  18. Shazam is on my (admittedly very short) list of figures I desperately want to have, right up there with Ian Malcolm and Misako Garmadon. So they'd better make a set with him for his movie. That means he's got the Infinity Gauntlet at his disposal. So technically he could turn all the other parts into licensed parts. XD
  19. Thrasher . . wasn't that the special suit that Batman wears in the Talon attack set that's coming out later this year? The one with the dog? (Forgive me I'm a filthy casual)
  20. Awesome looking set. TBH, at first I didn't realise the mech belonged to Batman. For a minute I thought we might be getting a set with three villains ganging up on the Flash. Or that it belonged to Firefly and the picture just had him outside the mech for the sake of showing what was going on. I still think the mech looks pretty evil, IMO. It's just asking for Black Manta or someone to steal it. Speaking of which; I'm hardly complaining about getting leaks for 2019 this early, but why are we hearing about a 'generic' DC set before we hear about the Aquaman set that's supposed to come later this year? I've been looking forward to seeing that one . . , I want Atlantis . . . Poison Ivy is disappointing, and I've wanted a Firefly to compliment Mr. Freeze ever since watching Gotham, but dual-modded legs for Flash gives me mixed feelings . . . on the one hand, it's accurate, on the other, now the Reverse Flash minifigure that I just got a couple of days ago won't match . . he won't be a reverse. "Nexo Power: Black Batarang!" But yes. That mech looks like the sort of thing Robin would build for his 'Black Knight' alter ego. Hell, just a few modifications and it might make up for the fact that I never got the Black Knight back in 2015. Also, with the red it looks more like a hangover from The Lego Batman Movie than it does something that the actual Batman would use. Maybe it's borrowed from Lego Batman's garage?
  21. That's not news; between how much Lego likes mechs and how popular D.Va as a character is, it was all but guaranteed that she would be included. Prior to the reveal that there would be Overwatch Lego, if you'd asked me to name as many characters from Overwatch as I could, I would have said, "Tracer, Reaper and D.Va,"
  22. Really? It doesn't sound very in keeping with the current theme . . . could it be a third addition to Ninjago City? Because the only thing that's anything like an 'ice temple' that we've ever seen was way back in the pilot arc when they had to retrieve the Shurikens of Ice. Heh. They used Zane as a bobsled. Good times. Is it possible that Lloyd, Nha and the Ninjago Rebellion will be returning to that setting as a 'last resort' base? They have already been back to the Fire Temple and the Caves of Despair in previously seasons, as well as the destroyed Monastery of Spinjitzu . . .
  23. I'd want the Series 18 Dragon Suit Guy in blue . . wait, but there'd be no way to give him wings and tail . . . damn. Still, there's certainly a lot of possibilities. I really hope this takes off.
