Aww, so it’s fake? And I was just wondering if Lego might do Ghostbusters stuff that ties in with Hidden Side, like the Ghostbusters sets would also be scannable in the app. Guess not . .

I was more looking at the headband, chest hair, and apron . . but you’re right, the stain is pixelated. I didn’t notice that before . . huh. I guess we’ll wait and see.

Can’t be. All next year’s Ninjago minifigs have either the mo-cap gear on them or that same pattern of triangles in the shape of a hexagon. This guy has neither. Also, he’s coral, same as the colour gizmos in the HS sets from this year and presumably next year. Plus, a ghost butcher sounds exactly like the sort of thing you’d see in Hidden Side.

I’m more curious about 71713. I hope the Empire Dragon hasn’t been canned, I wanted to see that one. And army build it. Also, where did ‘Cole’s Speeder Wagon’ come from? We hadn’t heard that one before. I’m still curious about who the Ninja Tuner Car belongs to; hopefully Nya. It’s been ages since Nya got a dedicated Water Ninja vehicle.

I think they look interesting. If these minis are anything to go by, the sets will have a vibrancy and spectacle that I've sorely missed in the likes of Friends and TLM2. Can't want to see the builds!

There’s a lot of difference between five and nine minifigures in one set. Five and a half with that super prisoner Stone Warrior.

Nine minifigures? No way. Are you sure it’s not nine characters? Because that could mean any number of things. What is it, a people pack? If it’s seriously nine minifigures it might be great for army building whatever this year’s villain faction turns out to be. Can’t wait to see the set images! Hopefully sometime in the next month!

I’d say Amazon’s your best bet. (I got Watchpoint: Gibraltar for 20% off) If online really isn’t an option, try GameStop? I don’t know about other countries but the Overwatch sets have been at Ebgames (Aussie GameStop).

Update; just tested it by propping my existing track up with a couple of trucks and a camper van. An inelegant but effective solution. Turns out my crappy ten-year-old wheels don’t have enough grip strength on the rails to maintain traction. Is there any way to fix this? Maybe replace the rubber?

My train consists of the Hidden Side train rigged up to an old 2008 motor I had from when I was a kid designed to look like a passenger car. So one (weak) motor and three carriages, two of which are really small. Testing is a good idea, why didn’t I think of that?

I have to move my layout soon, and I’m taking the time to rearrange it while I’m at it. My train loop seems to be suffering as a result, as I have to eliminate a couple of turns, and now it looks very plain . . so the obvious solution is to install a ramp! By converting a place where it crosses the road into a bridge I can have a train station right above the road. I have two long (approximately five lengths of 16-long track and four curves that can also adjust the elevation) stretches that would be perfect for elevating, and it doesn’t need to get too high, maybe seven or eight bricks above ground level. So how does one go about building a ramp for a train? I’m sure this has come up before but I can’t seem to find any topics relating to the matter.

Seriously? We’re getting Pillagers and foxes? Yay, 1.14! Kinda surprising though since we still don’t have a Drowned, or a Vindicator or Evoker . . actually, maybe there’ll be a Vindicator or Evoker in the Illager Raid? With seven minifigures . . I’d hope for only one player character, that way we could have two Villagers (preferably updated for 1.14), two Vindicators, an Evoker and a Pillager. Out of these I think I’m most excited for the Pillager Outpost, I love Outposts, even if this one is bound to be shrunken significantly. (Even if it’s sounds like they’re reusing the Dragon Hunter character from the End Battle,) Also definitely going to pick up the Taiga set because that means sand green and I always need more sand green. Definite maybe on the Panda Nursery and Illager Raid, I’ll want a closer look though. All in all, this sounds like a great wave, much better than the one for this year (the only set from this year that I really like and have integrated into my Minecraft display is the Shipwreck).

We have a leaked plot outline for Season 12! Apparently the ‘Empire’ faction isn’t right, it’s gonna be about an SAO-like video game called Prime Empire coming into circulation and anyone who plays it disappears. To find out what’s going on the ninja have to journey into a dangerous digital world ruled by the mysterious Unagami.

Okay, so good news is, the AIM soldiers look like they’re using gunmetal-coloured legs, which are rare and I always like getting them. Bad news is, they still look terrible. Good news is, I can use a spare yellow ghost trail part and a hat to turn one into Timothy, the exterminator ghost from Hidden Side (one of my favourite designs) so I’m treating it as a net win. My condolences for people who were hoping for proper AIM stuff, though.

Exactly what I was thinking. Honestly, though, I wish they’d do blue ghosts. It’s easy enough to create customs if you have the right NK or Ninjago parts (Flama’s head from the Siege Machine set is the best head for custom ghosts), but there is no blue ghost tail yet. The closest I’ve managed is repurposing the Hydroman build from Spider-Man and using the CMF Banshee (which I had the foresight to get during Ninjago’s ghost wave).

The pink suit’s almost definitely going to be in one of the Legacy sets, and those don’t have to observe the current plot of the show. Even if Zane does get written out (highly unlikely IMO) he’ll almost definitely still appear in the Legacy wave. Also there’s still two non-Legacy Ninjago sets for this wave whose names we don’t know yet. Good odds that at least one of them will be an Avatar Pod for Cole, Nya or Zane, if not a double pack.

A while wave of pop-up books? Dear gods no, please . . one was enough.

Just to clear things up; so far as we know the portal set is the only set that has actual ghost minifigures in it. The other sets are like this year; head swaps and occasionally other accessories, like the wings, tentacles or torso extension we saw this year, or the two heads part and torso twist part we’ve heard about.
