Is that what the black and blue harnesses are? Motion capture tech? Neat, I didn’t realise that. And I don’t know, if you look at the track record of masks; there was the original one recycled from the old Ninja theme, the ZX masks, which were used 2012-2015. Six waves. The Deepstone masks, which were used 2015-2017, four waves. The Movie masks, which were used 2017-2018, three waves. The Legacy masks, which were used for two waves, 2019 . . . . . damnit. I was going to make a point about how unlikely it is that they’d make a new mask mould for just one wave and immediately replace it, but looking at the trend . . . Honestly, for these suits, it seems like the Deepstone masks would be the most accurate mould for ‘non-headset’ variants of this wave’s suits. I think that might need to be left for customs, though, I can’t imagine them reintroducing that mold after three years. Then again, they did with the original ninja mask for Nelson and Pink Zane . .

I can’t believe they’re doing Anya. I only know her from the recent cartoon, has she been in the comics? AIM Soldier, Cap and Panther look . . not great, but pretty much what I expected. Which I do not mean in a good way, FYI. Thor is particularly disappointing - but the new colour for that hair part is exciting, I have a custom that needs that hair.

So, do we have a leaked set list? I missed it.

I think it’s some kind of VR/AR visor attached to the hoods. I think it looks awesome. Definitely getting as many as I can for customs.

Yes! All of the ninja are getting that new mask! And Nya is gorgeous! I might just have to collect all of the suits for this wave just for the sake of it (which I usually don’t bother with), the two we’ve seen already look amazing and I’m sure the others will be just as good. Also, the shoulder armour has lovely sword sheaths. I love it.

Hey, you’re right. I took that figure for a villain, but it does have a Lloyd face. Eh. I prefer the cyberpunk gi, the avatar look for Lloyd is a pretty poor design (the prints are still bad grumble grumble) and it just doesn’t look very ninja-ish to me. Easy pass, personally. The full IRL gi is awesome, though, especially the new hood moulded with the VR headset or whatever that is! I definitely want that so badly!

HOLY CRAP THE NEW LLOYD FIGURE LEAKED AND HE LOOKS AMAZING! Look at that new mask! That gorgeous dual-moulded visor/mask! If all the ninjas have that I’m going to be so thrilled! Maybe it’s some kind of VR headset? It looks totally awesome. Interesting that they picked white, though. White normally isn’t one of Lloyd’s colours, with the exception of this year’s mech. I wonder if there’s some in-universe explanation for the headset in the mask being white? Will all of the ninjas’ headsets be white (if indeed they all have headsets like this)? Also, one thing I recall; the leaked set list had Arcade Pod sets for just Kai, Jay and Lloyd. This new suit might be the Arcade Pod, in which case we’d not get this variant for Kai, Jay and Lloyd. Which would kind of suck since that mask is amazing and I feel like it’d have the most custom potential in Cole black or Zane white.

Has that been confirmed? Where? Disappointing . . The app does have code for a ‘YouTuber Parker’. It’s likely.

Finally, Pink Zane! Also, the new evil gamer guy looks amazing . . . I knew that head wasn't a Jay head! Also OMG that gorgeous new sword.

Gingerbread battle packs . . I cannot agree enough. Especially as a 10-year-anniversary set. Just, why? I’d much rather have had a rerelease of the Bakery or Post Office than this, I missed those. Actually, come to think of it why couldn’t they have rereleased the Bakery alongside the Gingerbread House? They tie together thematically, both in the concept of winter and baked goods, there’d be simultaneously something new and something distinctly Winter Village, they really should have done that. Missed opportunity, Lego . . maybe we’ll see a Bakery rerelease next year? We got the Train and then the Train Station sequentially.

Dear god . . just why? Though, I’ve been asking myself that same question for years where Playmobil’s concerned . .

It was spectacular that they brought back the Preeminent. It is a bit disappointing that the status quo is unchanged . . guess 26 really was a filler episode. I was hoping the Preeminent might mean that the ghosts could come back and possibly tie in with Hidden Side. I love the Chima reference, though! Speaking of the ghosts, does anyone think they might eventually reuse a villain faction? Because we’ve seen callbacks in the Departed and Legacy sets, but is it possible that, say, the S.O.G. or the ghosts could return as the antagonists of a future season? Thinking about it, it’s probably most likely that the Hands of Time and the Vermillion might return. We still don’t have a concrete answer as to what happened to them, except that “they were sent far into the future”. Fingers crossed that we’ll see them again! The reveal of Zane as the Emperor was a bit anticlimactic, but the mech/Wyvern fight was awesome! Also, calling it, the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjirzu is wrapped up inside that frozen staff. Just in case that wasn’t obvious.

Yes, that one. And it’s not like that part was exclusive, it was in the Lego Elves theme. Whereas the octopus tentacles have only been in one set and really need to be reused. Incidentally, I’ve modified my Haunted High School’s upper window to have a ghost minifigure (HS head, Ninjago body) come out of it instead of just the ghost smoke, which I think looks a lot more interesting.

Wait . . so no Gas Station? Aww man, I was really looking forward to that! The wave doesn’t sound half bad, though. From the sound of things the Hidden Side Portal and Lighthouse are the ones to get, possibly also the Subway Station and Fair but I’ll reserve judgement. Might be just my disappointment talking, but the Beach Buggy sounds like it’ll just be the little vehicle from the Shrimp Shack but as it’s own set. Definitely least excited for that. Still can’t wait for pictures. The Portal being inside a tree sounds wonderful and very reminiscent of Stranger Things. If the Subway Station’s tracks are only four studs wide, what do they expect to run on them? I hope it’s at least easy to strip them out in favour of the normal six-wide design. Also, I really hope the tentacle piece from the Shrimp Boat makes a reappearance in the Lighthouse. It’s not fair that they only did that once.

Seriously? Holy moly, these clown ghosts sound freaky . . also I have anatomical questions about how fatal possession by the ghost with the torso-bending part would be . . is the forest part of the amusement park? Doesn’t sound like much of an amusement parK in that case if the builds are trees rather than rides and stalls.

I expect it to be the same one as this year; the Spidey introduced in 2013 was used right through 2016 and was only replaced when MCU Spidey came along. No reason for them to drop a perfectly good comics Spidey after using it for only one year; this isn’t Ninjago. The closest possible comparison, Batman, has used the same light bley outfit across 1HY 2018 through 1HY 2019 (and got replaced by the 80th anniversary version but that’s a special circumstance) so I expect at least two more years of mileage from the current Spidey.

So, my parents are making me move my LEGO City layout down to the shed. (I’m eighteen and baven’t moved out yet if you’re wondering.) Issue is, the shed is also where my father stores his gardening tools, and there is an existing partition of shelving units, but these do not reach to the roof and some of the shelves do not have backing. I just know that if I don’t take preemptive action all kinds of dust and dirt will waft through the holes and over the top and cover my precious bricks in (a word that will be censored if I type it). Is there anyone here who’s had to face a similar issue before? How did you resolve it? What do you suggest I do?

Noir looks awesome. Definitely a plus towards getting the jet. Now if only we could get Peni Parker and Sp//dr . . Hawkeye’s good, but could use some leg printing.

Well, JB and Mr. Elton are supposed to be main characters/heroes too; they both come in three sets whereas other than them and Jack/Parker themselves not a single character is repeated, But minifig ghosts are pretty likely, at least for Into the Hidden Side. I think out of next year’s sets I’m looking forward to the Gas Station and the Lighthouse the most. Admittedly, the Fairgrounds and Cave will be interesting, so they’re maybes. The Stunt Plane . . I guess there had to be one ghost-fighting vehicle in the line, I’ll reserve judgement but can’t say I’m too interested.

A new version of Jack leaked, with slime stains on his jacket and what looks like ir’s supposed to be a missing sleeve except for some reason someone put a white arm on him instead of yellow. I assume in the final set he’ll have a naked left arm. It looks like things are going to get a bit more violent in the upcoming sets, maybe this is for the ‘Inside the Hidden Side’ set? Like, Jack gets trapped in the ghost world?

I doubt it’s going to be exactly Nexo Knight Battle Suit style; I checked the part counts and these mechs have almost double the part counts of the Battle Suits. Either that’s a hell of a lot of greebling or they’re doing something new. I’m hoping it’s Hulkbuster-like, the existing Hulkbusters are way too big for my Hall of Armours and if there’s a small one on scale with Igor I could make that work. Speaking of HoA, I love this new Iron Man suit, it’s utterly gorgeous and I want it for my HoA. Even if I’m not a fan of that new-style piece, it works in this case. Can’t wait to see the whole wave.

Unless the Spider-Jet seriously blows me out of the water, or it’s some kind of awesome new variant of Spidey (considering they used the same variant 2013-6 unlikely) these all sound like passes for me. Except possibly the mech set, but I’m reserving judgement on this mech series. Also, no War Machine? I was really hoping for Mark 7 War Machine. :( And I guess that leaked face from a while ago really is Black Panther.

What does that even mean? As in, watch Jack and Parker be the heroes? Of course they’re going to be the heroes.
