Whoa! A clearer image appeared of the Tuner Car and Kai has a trans green weapon pack sword with a new printed white hilt piece that’s shaped like a video game controller! That is such a cool piece! This is a great wave! EDIT: Now that I’m looking closer, it appears in basically every set. I just mistook it for the classic three-stud white hilt we’ve had since 2011, recoloured in white. But this is way cooler!

@priceyplasticproduct, instagram. More, sets have leaked. Jay’s Cyber Dragon is actually kind of disappointing. It’s neat, but there’s something about it that doesn’t satisfy me. Hope the Empire Dragon is better. The Ninja Tuner Car does indeed not belong to a ninja - except it kind of belongs to Jay, because his ‘avatar’ figure is driving it and it is absolutely covered in stickers. Also, Jay and Lloyd’s Velocity Racers . . are weird. They don’t match like I expected, and . . I don’t know what’s going on. They look cool, but the threshold is pretty high for ninja vehicles for me considering how many of them we get and these just don’t cut it. Also, two 404 figures are in the Tuner Car set. Interesting. Maybe he has the ability to self-duplicate? It makes sense, in a digiverse world. I’m just imagining a scene where the Ninja are all facing him and go “There’s five of us and only one of you. Surrender!” and 404 just goes, “One of me? I think not,” and then he splits like Doctor Strange and suddenly there’s ten of him surrounding them. That’ll be so cool. Still haven’t seen Kai’s Mech Jet and the Empire Dragon, or the Arcade Pods and most of the Legacy Sets. The City and Friends leaks were only partial, think we’ll see all of them today?

Yeah, the HP bars are neat. Also, one thing I forgot to mention about the Gamer Market; ROCKY DANGERVEST! Awesome! Oh, and Nya in a wetsuit for some reason?

The sets have started leaking! We’ve seen the Empire Temple of Madness, Golden Mech and Gamer Market so far. And OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD; Other than that the sets look cool, the Temple is smaller than expected but looks pretty cool, and I honestly have no idea what’s up with the Gamer’s Market but it’s gorgeous and I’m definitely getting it. My city totally needs a black market. The Golden Mech is kind of disappointing, but only because it doesn’t come with an Overlord Dragon like we expected, and it still looks pretty gorgeous. It looks like it’s the same Golden Ninja minifig as this year, but with the Forbidden Spinjitzu shoulder armour in gold now. Surprising. Can’t wait for the rest of the sets!

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Fenghuang0296 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I’m surprised by the Sith Teooper pack; two jump troopers and only one regular trooper? If anything I’d expect it to be the other way around. Does make it hard to army build regular troopers, but pretty easy to build the jumptroopers. Even so, I can totally see myself getting at least three of those packs on a good sale. Gotta have Sith Troopers, right? The X-Wing is gorgeous and I love it. I’ve never gotten any X-Wings before (Dark Ages plus general lack of interest in Star Wars due to the Disney tax) though I came close on the 2018 one, just ran out of spending money. But this one looks nice! So does the TIE Dagger, even if it’ll inevitably be overpriced to the point I won’t be able to afford it. The Microfighters are meh, as always. No interest. With the possible exception of that rumoured Y-Wing with Zorii, I like her but don’t want to shell out for the big one. Obi-Wan vs. Anakin looks cute, but still an easy pass from me. Can’t wait to see the Mandalorian BP! I wonder why we haven’t? -
In which case this one is already ahead of it. :P I agree about the frosting piece. It looks cute. Hopefully it pops up in more sets since I have less than zero use for that baking competition. (Also, looking at the @Klaus-Dieter set list, this makes a lot more sense than a ‘Banking Competition’ . .

So apparently no one’s made a thread for this yet, that I’ve seen. Anyway, new pictures are starting to appear! So far there’s a Hair Salon and a tiny Ice Cream Stall. Both pretty cute and I might get the former. Discuss! Strike that, more are popping up! Nature Glamping, some kind of cooking show TV studio, and a new Hospital that looks totally gorgeous. I think I’ve found my first set from this wave that’s a must-buy. It’s gorgeous and uses coral, what more can you ask for?

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
You mean there was hope for City helicopters? News to me. Anyway, these sets serve their purpose, as gateways for younger kids. They aren’t aimed at AFOLs, so we shouldn’t be too critical or concerned. For what it’s worth, the ripcord helicopters do look like a fun gimmick. Better than last year’s parachutes. I’m going to get the Police Station all the same. Not because I particularly like it, but my city needs a police station and this is still the best one in three years (no dice on getting the 2017 one in Australia) and will probably be easy to modify for my needs. I’m reluctant on the rest because it’s mostly just standard City fare with a couple of neat minifigs, but the Monster Truck set does look fun, plus those magnet parts are neat and might be useful. -

Almost all. The Shrimp Boat, High School, Train and Shrimp Shack all included one extra civilian minifigure in addition to the main characters and gloombies, each with a new torso and face. None of that is present this time around. -

Fingers crossed for a set with Zemo. I still can’t believe the left him out of the Civil War sets. You want the mini leviathan? Why? I’m scrapping that thing for parts so hard. -
Or Australia. {grumbles}

I did get the High School and it has become one of the big landmarks in my city (partly because I turned it into an Avengers Mansion and installed a huge Hall of Armour under it). What does USP stand for? But Wave 2 does seem like a step back. The Lighthouse is cool and I do want it, but I don’t even understand what the transformation is supposed to be. Is it four mouths opening in the walls? Would it have been so difficult to make it unfoldable hands instead, maybe with mini ball joints so it could reach out and grab a person? Honestly I do expect Wave 3 in Summer 2020 to be the last wave before this theme is put to rest. All I’m really hoping for is that the remaining sets look cool and end the theme with a bang. Ideally, a minifigure version of Lady E, because she’s the big bad and it’s weird that she’s in the tiny Hidden Side Portal rather than a flagship set of some kind. -

Are you kidding? If anything they’ve cut back the minifigs. Wave 1 had tons of extra civilians who had no purpose other than to run screaming from ghosts or else just exist and possibly fill out a city. This wave, not a single set has a minifigure that isn’t a main character or possessed. Which is kinda disappointing, I really enjoyed all the new prints we got. -

The jetpack looks pretty steampunk to me (maybe someone who died testing a failed invention?) so I don’t mind it so much. But you’re right about the setting, I was looking at the desert background of the Dune Buggy and thinking “So there’s a desert right next to the Newbury swamp?” Because if Minecraft has taught me anything, it’s that that don’t fly with topographical science. And I suppose it could be a beach, but the art shows a palm tree. Though, admittedly, it doesn’t bother me too much. It’s all fairly within the theme, and the sets look fun. Even if the fair could use a few dark green leaves. Concerns about how well they fit the setting would be all kinds of redundant in my city layout, which has an entire accompanying narrative about it being a hodgepodge of interdimensional flotsam. (Hence Spider-Man, Frozone and Tracer working together on the same superhero team.) I’m just glad that they prioritised set design. And I guess too many swampy trees would get boring, -

If it’s only the minifigures you want, they’ll probably pop up on Bricks and Pieces. If not, BrickLink exists. -

I translated some of the German set descriptions; apparently they’re framing the Subway as a portal into the ghost world. Which makes sense looking at the sets; the Subway is the living world side of the portal, and the massive tree is the ghost world side. -

It looks to me like it’s 29 studs wide and 31 bricks high. Though if that’s too wide, 6 of those studs is just the little colour gizmo attachment, which looks easy to remove. There might be added width on the left side that I can’t see behind the meat of the build, though. I actually have a gap in my city on the coast that it should fit perfectly into. Which means I’m probably going to get the Lighthouse for that. I’d love to see the interior, though; most of the sets everything is pretty apparent just from the one picture, but the Lighthouse looks like it has a big interior that might win a lot of people over. -

We finally have set images! The Lighthouse and the Hidden Side Portal are the best two, as expected. The Subway Station is honestly disappointing, I was hoping it would be compatible with proper tracks, not . . whatever all that is. El Fuego’s Stunt Plane actually looks a lot better than expected, though I am very curious about why El Fuego is a skeleton. The Beach Buggy set looks even more disappointing, but the figures are great so I’ll have to get it anyway. And the Fairground . . honestly, more than I expected. I particularly like that it’s actually two separate roller coasters, sort of at least, with one being one of those upward launch . . I forget what they’re called but it’s cool. I’m not sure I’ll have space for it, but if I do, well I like it. Can I just say I love Jack’s new dual-moulded hat/hair piece? And the return of the Wyldstyle folded-down hoodie part in white and presumably red. Though I am surprised that they didn’t put the Wave 1 hat/hair Parker combo or hat/hood Jack combo in a single set. Except the Portal, but it’s a recolour it doesn’t count. It just surprised me that they’re willing to invest in so many new moulds for the theme and retire them so quickly. (I notice that neither the ghost wings nor the ghost tentacles parts from wave 1 are in any of these sets; disappointing.) Oh, and speaking of new moulds; it looks like there’s some kind of new slime parts pack, a la the Ninjago Weapons and Superheroes Power Blasts! That looks awesome and it’s such a great idea! I can’t wait to get hands on with these sets; the Portal and Lighthouse are must-haves. Oh, and one more thing; each set, as expected, prominently features a presumably named main villain ghost in the box art, like the first wave . . but the Portal set shows a white ghost lady. We haven’t seen any ghosts that don’t fit the red blue yellow scheme before, so . . could this white ghost be some kind of big boss? Maybe even the rumoured Lady E. herself? If it is, I’ll be kind of disappointed; we know there’s at least two r three big sets coming in Summer 2020 and I expected another big mansion that Lady E. could be the named ghost for. Doesn’t make much sense to have her with the little Portal. -
And why do you assume Wu won’t go into the game? Or that they wouldn’t shoehorn him in regardless? Like I said, Wu never actually went on board the Land-Bounty, but he still appeared in that set.
-
Something just occurred to me that I should also point out; we haven't yet seen a minifigure of Sensei Wu for this season either, but Wu is always in at least one set each wave, usually in a new variant. The Land-Bounty this season (even though Wu never actually got on board the Land Bounty in the show), the Monastery and the Ultra Dragon last season, the Dieselnaut and Dragon Pit last year, and even during S.O.G. he cropped up as a baby in the Temple of Resurrection. There's no way Wu won't be in a set this year, probably the Temple of Madness, and just because we haven't seen him or Zane doesn't mean he won't be around.
-
We haven!t seen any leaks yet, but Tommy Andersen said there would be an episode entirely focused on Zane and Pixal next season. So I’m fairly certain Zane’s going to play a part and we just haven’t seen a minifigure of him yet. Or maybe Zane’s going to go on some kind of journey of self-discovery with Pixal and sit out of most of this season.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

Just found this on the Ninjago wiki; I’d be very surprised if this totally ignored the Ice Emperor and was just Zane and Pixal on a date or something. (Probably both, though.)- 4,591 replies

It’s not that old. It was last used in Day of the Departed, right? 2017. Winter 2020 is two and a half years later, they could do that. They have done that; remember the Serpentine General staff piece? No one saw it for five years after the 2012 wave, then suddenly it resurfaced in Day of the Departed, recoloured as a Departed Blade. There’s tons of examples like that - to look at a different theme, the canopy from the UCS Slave I. Released in 2015 and not used again until 2019, when it appeared in the Pop-Up Party Bus. If they can do that, surely they can reuse the original Jadeblade mould.
-
A new version of the weapon pack leaked, in trans neon green. My first thought was ‘glowing green VR weapons’ but maybe they’re so that the curved scimitar blades can be used as Legacy Jadeblades? Though I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t just reuse the original Jadeblade mould . .
