Regarding Killmonger, he doesn’t look all that different from the figure we already got back in 2018, so I think it’s fine that they left him out. Though an unmasked version would be nice . . and come to think, I can’t think of any wigs that match his dreadlocks. Definitely missing Infinity Ultron though.

So, has there been any word on the release of Bandmates Series 2? I really want a couple of them.

Ooh new set reveals! . . LEGO what is this? I’m so disappointed. I thought we were going to have a Fortnite gameplay sticker in Thor’s house! That is not Fortnite, that’s some LEGO game! Not even one that exists, since no game has that version of Korg in it! Ugh. Damnit LEGO you had one job. Anyway. Spider-Man. Men. Spider-People? We’ve got three completely new suits? Whoa. Ditko suit, great we all expected that. Iron Ditko suit? That’s weird but cool. And . . uh . . the black and gold Spider-Man looks awesome but . . is it a LEGO original design? I don’t remember ever seeing anything like it. What’s it from? As for the sets, the Sanctum Workshop is a bit of a mess but has some nice builds nonetheless. I’ll use the furniture to spruce up my modified 2018 Sanctum. Plus, Wong. Finally. I couldn’t get the Bricktober back and it’ll be great to finally have Wong. And that new Cloak is gorgeous! The Vulture set looks great, even if that drone is ridiculous and destined to be dismantled. And 4+ Mysterio set? Well, it’s cute and has nice figures but it’s a fairly low priority, if the same Spidey Minifigure comes in a Wave 2 No Way Home set then I won’t feel bad about skipping it.

Okay, new set pictures! Yay for Bee Mario, I love the bee suit! Sumo Bro tower looks cool! I can see what they’re going for, and I’ll take it. As for the other two . . I had to Google what a ‘Raznor’ is, and I’m not impressed at all. It’s like, I can see what they’re going for, but instead of that big complicated Ram mechanism, why not just design it so that you spin the wheel and move the Raznor over a seesaw, that Mario then jumps on to knock them off? Or, better yet, just have Mario headbutt them from underneath. Y’now, like he does in the actual fight in-game? (According to the wiki anyway, and given how closely the design mirrors what I saw there I think that’s what they’re going for.) And then we have Lakitu’s Cloud World . . uh . . It looks fun? But also like a huge mess. I can’t even tell what you’re supposed to do with any of it? There are sliding platforms and a semicircle and . . uh . . I don’t know? I’ll be very interested in the reviews for this one. Still making the airship top priority though!

I agree with pretty much all of this. Though I’d be down for sets based on this game if it meant we finally got Drax again. (I need a Drax. Any Drax. He’s the only Guardian I don’t have.) I wouldn’t mind new Guardians variants as long as the builds are interesting . . but they won’t be . . but they’ll be bad builds no matter what they’re based on. If nothing else, I’m sure they won’t do something like “Guardians Vs. AIM Agents: Nameless goons attack Gamora’s ATV!” Really hope I didn’t just jinx it.

Myself, I think Strong Spider should have been done using a brick-built body (maybe with that big torso they used in Nexo Knights and for Steppenwolf), a normal minifig head, and bigwig arms/hands. Hell, the colours for the arms and hands already exist thanks to Thanos, they only would have needed to make a new print for the face and an uncoloured purple torso part. But we’ll probably never get him at this stage. Oh well.

It really completes his look. :P

Holy crap Sakaarian Iron Man is cool! I love it! The transformation is great - I was disappointed when it looked like it was just an alternate build but if it’s actually just ‘take off the limbs and reconfigure it a bit’ then that’s totally fine. And new Valkyrie? And Uatu? And exclusive Tony Stark? I love it and I need it and this might be my favourite Iron Man Mech ever!

The Brothers Brick has a picture of it all split up. So does Ashnflash’s video, which I just watched and noticed some new details as I did; MK and Mo both have new, exclusive prints. MK’s gotten his third new torso design which for now is exclusive to the Bone Mech, and Mo has a new print with sunglasses and a pouch around his neck. That’s . . surprising? I don’t really see the need for a third version of MK’s jacket, especially since in the show it’s just been the same jacket the whole time whose design never changes. Feels like a waste of the print budget to me, would much prefer the ‘child’ version of Lady Bone Demon.

Yep. It even has five components; the two spiders, the scorpion, the throne, and the helmet that otherwise attaches to the arch. I’ll probably modify the helmet a bit to make it be able to do something on its own, like a glider or something - I’m fine with the throne/torso section being static, but as a long-term Sentai fan I want each of the mecha to do something. Honesly I’ll probably pass on the other two sets, they just don’t do anything much for me. (Even though Sandy’s Mech is very cool.) But an evil LEGO Megazord is way too cool to miss.

Oh wow. Lady Bone Demon’s Mech is a combiner? It’s literally an evil Megazord? That is so cool I have to get it now!

I should point out that Firstborne is a girl.

So all these new characters are the Camp Cretaceous people? I thought that might be the case but I haven’t seen it myself. Is it worth watching? I usually digest everything that gets LEGO tie-ins but knowing me if I watch it and get attached I’ll want to buy the entire wave to have the full cast - actually is this even the full cast? Ad for the sets themselves, I like the T.Rex fossil but already have the Ideas fossils so it’s a bit redundant. Probably going to pass on the 4+ set too, but the other two are good. Happy to have another Carnotaurus, and the boat . . PPP is horrible but that’s what happens when you put an expensive exclusive dinosaur and a floating hull piece in the same set. (Fingers crossed for a good discount though.) If I can get a good price I’ll probably go for it.

Is the wave only three sets? I was expecting more but I don’t quite remember why. Sandy Mech is pretty cool, and Pigsy’s noodle tank is neat but not for me. And the Bone Demon Mech . . uh . . what exactly am I looking at? It certainly seems interesting (and I love me a LEGO Kaiju) but I’m going to wait for better pictures before passing judgement.

Okay, the new Sanctuary II is pretty cute, but the more I look at it the less I like it? That’s unusual for me, so I’m really not sure I do love that Thanos fig, but I’m less crazy about Captain Marvel. They’re both in the Advent Calendar, right? The wings are nice, but the prow is really weird. Definitely iffy about getting it, after all this is the third set with that Iron Man and I do plan to get that Final Battle. Definitely not committed, but maybe? So did I! What the heck?

It’s B.A. Baracus’, from LEGO Dimensions. It’s annoyingly rare, I think it was only included with him and one of the Jurassic World sets but check BrickLink, I feel like I’m forgetting something.

So something just occurred to me; could there be a connection between Wohira and the Great Devourer? Perhaps even that Wohira is the Devourer’s mother?

Someday, we will get the Bombastic Bag-Man. I’m sure of it.

I would absolutely buy a Legacy MechDragon or Garma-Tron. And, yeah how will they handle Skybound? Even the ninja-focused sets had small gliders for the Pirates. Skybound was also when they really leaned into the elemental dragons, making ones for Cole, Jay and Lloyd. Maybe we’ll see more Legacy dragons? I really hope they don’t go and make a Legacy ‘Kai and Nya’s motorcycles’ set; we get enough sets like that already and it’d be the single worst thing from that season to adapt.

Think it’s the same colour, yeah, but I wouldn’t count on Reverse Flash ever getting dual moulded legs. He just isn’t important enough. Maybe if they’d made him in 2016, when they were giving everyone dual moulding . .

Eh, sorta? Zippy’a more Lloyd’s than any other ninja’s, but it’s not really ‘his’, though he does interact with Zippy more than any other ninja . . I’d say just watch the show and make up your mind, but out of the Ultra Dragon, Golden Dragon, 2016 NRG Dragon, the Mech Dragon, Zippy is at the absolute bottom of the list in terms of ‘dragons associated with Lloyd’. Unlike the other four, Lloyd never even rode Zippy - that saddle and all those promotional images of Lloyd saddling him up? About as non-canon as Zane’s Tournament outfit,

Good picks, but I’d have taken the Cyber Dragon for Jay over the Stormbringer. It was much more plot-relevant and iconic, while Stormbringer was basically only there as an accessory to Firstborne. Also, for Zane’s dragon, you could try to get the Ice Emperor’s palace and have Boreal? Though that might be expensive on the aftermarket . . plus we are sorta due for a Zane dragon. Kai, Lloyd and Nya all got dragons this year, and Wu and Jay last year . . I would like a Cole dragon but Cole usually gets shafted. (Maybe see if you can get Rocky, the original Earth dragon from 2011 for him? I wouldn’t count on Cole getting a new dragon.) Speaking of Cole, I can see why you’d use the movie mech for him over the FireStone mech, it is a hefty piece even though personally I think it’s one of the all-time stupidest vehicles . . Say, maybe you could add Pixal? She had a Mech in SOG and that car in HoT . . she’ll probably never have a dragon though given she hasn’t even been in the sets since 2019 . . just my two cents but that’d probably be more interesting than getting a motorbike for each ninja.

Hey, clever. Do you treat the Fire Stone Mech as a Kai Mech or Cole Mech? We really should expect a large-scale Mech for Jay; the closest we’ve had so far is the ToE Electromech and that’s just nowhere near the scale of Lloyd’s Mech from SoFS, Zane’s Titan Mech or Kai’s Mech from the Movie. (Speaking of, do you count Garmadon as an ‘evil Ninja’? Because between the Movie’s Garma Mecha Man (or even the Oni Titan), the Garma-Tron and the Overlord Dragon, I think that’s doable.)
