So some weird non-canon hybrid of the two Milanos? It’s, eh, possible? Seems unlikely though. It would just be the 2014 Milano again.

The main vehicle appeals to me as someone who’s going to strip it and repurpose it for a MOC. :P

On the one hand, I’m pretty sure that would be inaccurate to the comics. (Unless Kitty Pryde is involved.) On the other hand if they do a baby dragon, it would be like Baby Groot 3.0 and I am absolutely there for it.

Really? Most of the ones I’ve seen have been massive. Maybe I need to play more Mario games. :P

So I got the Chain Chomp set and . . . I’m honestly disappointed. I knew I’d get it as soon as I saw it because I have a lot of nostalgia for Chain Chomp from playing Mario Kart when I was eight (weird that being attacked by something over and over again because I was too dumb to go around it is a fond memory but whatevs) but this thing? It’s just much too small. I think of Chain Chomps and I think of huge slavering monsters, but this thing? It’s smaller than Mario. It’s smaller than Toad. I can only picture it as a baby of some kind. (And that’s not getting into the fact that it isn’t even remotely spherical.) Then there’s the action feature - supposedly. I’ve seen what it’s supposed to do but it just doesn’t work for me. Instead of flying off or even being knocked away, the Chain Chomp just bounces back and curls up into a ball. The ‘action tiles’ are still very much covered, both of them. The best fix I’ve found is to remove the coin block entirely and put it somewhere else, in which case the Chain Chomp bounces back and ‘shows its belly’, at which point Mario can lie on his back and kick it. I can’t really complain about the Bram-Ball? It’s another single-hit bad guy. At least it’s a unique design. I . . I say this very rarely. I love LEGO, a lot. But I’m looking at this set and thinking that this was not worth the money I paid for it. It’s just not a good set, and I wish I hadn’t bought it.

I’m inclined to agree, though personally from what we saw in that trailer the build doesn’t really do the snake(/crocodile/dragon?) head justice to how it looks in the show. I know that the show is designed after the sets, but still it’s not great to have that disconnect. When I get that set I might mod it and see if I can convert it into a proper sort of island temple.

I’ve been out of the loop for a bit, what’s the story with this ‘bandmate’ CMF? Is it part of Vidiyo? Like some of the figures we’ve seen will be in blind bags, packaged with some of the (incredible, amazing number of) printed tiles? Also, seriously, when are we going to see actual set images? I thought that was what today’s reveal was for! This releases March, right? That’s only a month away.

I want to say ‘no way’ . . but Spider-Man actually had his own Power Rangers style giant robot back in the 70s or something called Leopardon. And . . y’now, I’d actually buy a Voltron-style LEGO model of Leopardon at a scale like that.

This hinge setup is really clever! I love it!

Asgard would be awesome, but the Sanctuary II . . honestly, I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before but that seems very likely. LEGO loves big spaceships, they haven’t done the Sanctuary II in any capacity, Avengers Tower seems unlikely since they did one just recently, they already did the Sanctum Sanctorum (twice). I think it’s highly likely that the D2C might be the Sanctuary II.

Meanwhile I’m really excited for Loki in LEGO form. I think some amazing things will come out of that. But I think no one’s discussed the most interesting show for LEGO tie-ins; Marvel What-If! Imagine if we got a LEGO version of T’Challa Star-Lord. Or Peggy as Captain America with Steve as WW2 Iron Man. Or . . um . . actually I could live without the zombies. But I’m really hoping for those first two!

Sorry to derail the Gardens discussion, but I just watched Jang’s review of the Tournament of Elements. And they reused Jack’s face from Hidden Side for Bolobo. That’s just lazy. -,-

I really hope this does end up being a Black Falcons castle. I’d be surprised if they don’t reuse the torsos from the blacksmith shop; after all the original 2002 version of the blacksmith didn’t even have guard minifigures in it. Just the fact that they have those torsos, which really do seem a bit out of place, implies to me that this Castle is designed as a companion to the blacksmith shop (or vice versa?). Plus, given how much LEGO likes to reuse prints across multiple sets . . I would honestly be very surprised if at least some of the minifigures in the castle weren’t guards that match the ones in the blacksmith shop. (Though I’d also be surprised if every figure was identical, I expect we’ll also get a king, maybe a queen or a ‘guard captain’ with a different outfit . . even bandits?) Still, I’m interested. I’m too young to really get the nostalgia but I do enjoy seeing all these things that harken back to classic LEGO - makes me feel like I’m part of the tradition, y’now? I skipped the 3-in-1 ship because I still have Misfortune’s Keep and the Ninjago pirate stuff to put with Barracuda Bay, but if it’s as good a castle as I think we’re all hoping I probably will get this one!

Watch the base turn out to be some kind of giant animatronic spider with a room and a jail cell inside. Can’t say I’m interested in yet more action/adventure planes. Unless these jets really blow me out of the park with how good they are, I’ll pass. The bass might be interesting but it’ll probably be low priority for me - gotta save up for Ninjago City Gardens after all. Hope the three we don’t know yet are interesting (and small/affordable!)

So we have a complete list of summer set names? The two unknown TV ones are an Amphibian Submarine and a Temple of the Infinite Sea. Which sounds awesome! Also a 4+ version of Kai’s 2012 bike, a Legacy version of the Ultra Sonic Raider, and a ‘Ninja Assault Ship Final Fight’ (or maybe it’s Final Flight) . . it only has 147 pieces according to @Ashnflash so I want to say it’s either a 4+ Possession-era Bounty or a Legacy version of the Destiny’s Shadow maybe? The Shadow seems unlikely given that was a Hands of Time set and Legacy hasn’t even gotten up to Skybound yet.

Aw, sorry to interrupt your vacation. I love your trees! Especially the big heptagonal one, it evokes classic Pirates while still looking good. And are those sideways headlight bricks you used to space apart the dock? It looks great but it’s almost too uniform for me, I might have changed it up with some regular 1-1 SNOT bricks so that a couple of the boards would be raised by half a stud, and maybe a few of those 1x1x1.2/3 SNOT bricks with two studs on a side so that some of the planks would be wedged tightly together. Still, love your work! . . But I do wonder where Kite got Beskar. She’s been keeping secrets from me it seems.

I think it’d be easier to just remove the shrine section and put it on the other side of the Gardens, then build a small extension to the walkway at the corner to connect it to that little bridge on the shrine. (Assuming your available space forces you to display them all in a line and you can’t have a corner where you just put the Gardens on the other side of City.) But you do you.

Oh, these sets are gorgeous! Sisu looks great and I think I’m getting all of these. Can’t wait! Who are the two characters in the set with the boat? Can anyone tell?
