  1. Have seen the station in the link provided in your first post. I really like it and it seems tot be very fitting with a southern European setting. Have you also build it yourself in real life?
  2. Years ago I saw that bridge in the add and dreamed of making it. By the time I had enough pieces I lost the add without a copy. Its really nice to see someone else really recreating it. Here's my attempt:
  3. Am I the only one bothered by the fact we 'again' get a new system? Because I'm kinda bothered by it, because that would mean we get less spare parts for the current PF in the future, just like what happened to 9V.... I would have prefered it if they just kept the current system and expanded it a bit since I think it's near perfect. But maybe the new system is even better, well, time will tell
  4. Cool, those pictures of your childhood layout look really nice. Wish I had that much space as a kid Hopefully you'll have enough room in the future to build all those boxes (once again)!
  5. Hi everyone, I recently was holding my Horizon express train and noticed something. The cars (so not the engine) were very light, even so if I didn't know better, would think there weren't a lot of pieces involved. I had the 2006 High speed passenger train 7897 and noticed also that the car was very, very light. Same with the other two recent passenger trains, and the passenger car from the Emerald Night. On the other hand, as a kid a friend of mine had some cars of the Santa Fe Super Chief, and they were kinda heavy (in my memory that is) compared to my own 7897. Looking up the instructions of some of the older trains I also noticed it almost seems more pieces were involved. I'm kinda sad by this, since I think the cars of a train are just as important as the main engine of it. So my question is, does anyone who owns several trains of several eras also notice the difference in wheigt between the passenger cars? And what does that mean for you?
  6. I disagree, in the way that I meant it is just another two or three piece front for a high speed passenger train, just like the last one. I was hoping more for a regional train concept, like the passenger train from 2010 with a brick build nose. Not that I'm complaining though, because I kinda like the way they handled the colors with this one.
  7. Having seen the pictures of the new passenger train, my opninion about it is kinda mixed. On one hand I really, really like it that Lego finnaly is using a train color schemes which aren't mostly red and white, or white and red. But on the other, it just feels as a redesigned version of the current passenger train. But then again, most high speed passenger trains here in Europe kinda look alike in a way. On a last note, I think kids will love it.
  8. Wait, what? Where would one find such a video
  9. I think the price seems a bit steep because the source got the scandinavian prices which are always much higher than most other countries. ..249,99€ is insane for a regular train set.
  10. First post has been updated, the station is now really finished!
  11. I can confirm it does appear in the artbook for TLJ, so at least we have some proof. It is also mentioned in the visual dictionary so even though it did not appear in the movie it is probaly still a canon vehicle.
  12. Woah! As the creator of the LDD concept for this I'm really happy someone even took the time to recreate it in real life! It was build after my concept right (picture below) ?
  13. Does anyone knows wether or not the First Order Heavy Scout Walker (the crab-like vehicle) even appears in the new movie? It almost seems like the same case as the First Order Snowspeeder from TFA,where it was supposed to be in the movie but was later in the process removed.
  14. That looks really nice! I instantly get that feeling from when I was a child and watched those large christmas layouts they had at my shopping mall
  15. Outstanding work, the fact that it actually has an interior makes it even more gorgeous!
  16. Thanks! I do think instructions will be avaliable by the end of this year when I've finished the building. See the next post for the latest update! Update 26 November 2017 The upper floors of the station have been finished, including the full interior. For the last month of this year I'm going to work out the rest of the station
  17. Very well done! Also not a real fan of the friends theme, but the details you included here are very impressive
  18. Thanks! Thanks! to clear up any confussion, the exterior was made in July, but it proved to be quite difficult to integrate the interior well with the rest, so I decided to redo the entire thing in LDD first, and then build it in real bricks with an interior. Thanks! Yeah I like that I finnaly found a good use for them
  19. Update 17 September 2017 At the start of the month I began building the train station with real bricks. However it was very time consuming to search for the right pieces from the already pre-sorted pieces, because it were over 7000 (!). The result of two days work can be seen here: As you can imagine this really began to become a problem, because I want to finish it before the end of the year. As a result I decided to again pre-sort the bricks, but instead sorting them for the whole thing, I sorted them per sub-section. Whitin a day one of the five main sub-sections has been made:
  20. Nice! Seeing them build makes me really happy! 7777 was a great source for building back then.
  21. Nice! I really like it! Both the interior and exterior are beautiful.
  22. Nice! I really like this kind of architecture. I had to look twice before realising it was really brick build ☺
  23. I love the idea and excecution of it! So many nice details and scenes
  24. Nice, I really like it. Can't wait to see it together with the other parts
  25. Another Digital update: Link to bigger picture This time I added some color to the building, because it looked (even in digital form) kinda boring compared to the other modulars. Now I'm going to collect the last bricks to make this building with real Lego bricks
