  1. Well, there goes that idea. Thanks for finding it for me.
  2. Can someone "name that part" It's the grey wheels in the picture below: Thinking of making something similar for the Claas Tractor. Thanks!
  3. Barman, Just built your chassis and it works great! Now to design a body around it.
  4. How did talking about this set turn into an rc topic? It should be like 8880. Lots of new never seen before features that is fun to play with and display. Its been proven time and time again that heavy models crawl if they move at all due to limitations of plastic gears and axles. So please, let's talk about the new functions of the porche and leave the rc talk somewhere else. Glenn
  5. Only thing I don't like is that the 3 point hitches are raised and lowered on the attachment side.
  6. Bought this set yesterday because I felt $30 for a pair of tires would make the parts in the set worth $50. Still I don't feel it was worth the money. It will be on my sell list as soon as it's not available from Lego.
  7. Efferman, do you think 2 regular pistons could work in the second section instead of the extended pistons? Gonna have to try to copy your idea and try it out. Looks great!
  8. How about using the 7l gear racks for a grill? Then you would have it for steering in the b model.
  9. Would be sweet if the tractor came with a manual pneumatic pump or 2 and lots of pneumatic features. We haven't had a manual pump since 2010.
  10. I can't believe $79 for the funny car with no pf. Looks like the tumbler tires are safe at their high price.
  11. You could add a swaybar or 2 to the taller version to help from side to side sway.
  12. Scissers. These reviews really help make my decisions easier. And thanks to the wife liking flying sets, I'm sure to get the helicopter.
  13. Am I the only one upset over the color vomit of axles? First we had just black. Then came light grey. Now we have red, black, light and dark grey, yellow, tan, orange. I'm sure I'm missing a couple. Looks like I better hit brick link for all the black and grey axles before they disappear.
  14. I think an earth mover would be cool. But instead of moving "earth", it would pick up Lego pieces.
  15. Wow that coca-cola truck is awesome! Wish they had these type of shows in the states.
  16. I know I'm bringing this topic from the dead, but I just built this set from a Lego collection I bought at a garage sale. The steering flex cables were bought from Bricklink. The front wheels are not both facing straight like in this review. Is this normal for the set or did we do something wrong? Here is the best picture showing how the front wheels don't align from above:
  17. I don't understand why Lego keeps making airport fire trucks. Do they not know how to build a ladder?
  18. I would like to enter it as just a top section. Only problem is the only cranes I have built are sets. I was using 42009 as a display. It attaches exactly like the original crane. I think to scale a trailer for it like in the picture would be to use unimog tires.
  19. The whole structure is bending forward. I originally had the turntable further forward, but the gearbox would not clear 42009's engine. (As you can see from the side view, it's tight.)
  20. One part said ok and the other said it wasn't. Therefore taking my post off. Moderators please delete this topic.
  21. I hope they consider putting yellow wheels on the mine loader. Only one set has used them so far.
  22. Can only the crane part be accepted in the competition? Due to time, I'll be lucky to finish the crane part, but not likely to make a truck base to put it on. I was thinking taking the crane off of 8421 or 42009 and putting mine on. It will be a totally different type of crane. If not I might build it anyway, but wont enter the competition. Glenn
