LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Digger of Bricks replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hey, you at least helped bump it to the next page just by quoting me! By the way, what's Kylo's Starship supposed to be? A redux of his shuttle from 2015's TFA? -
Here a few hypothetical subthemes which I (and others) have pitched on this topic previously that I hope to see explored by the City theme in the next few years: Lunar Outpost (i.e. Classic Space 2.0) Studios Urban Archaeology (i.e. excavation/unearthing of medieval ruins through urban construction) Australian Outback Submarine Archaeology (i.e. the Atlantis theme revisited within a more realistic context) Serengeti Safari Natural Disaster Search & Rescue (i.e. 1998's Res-Q revisited) Alpine Search & Rescue Deep-Sea Volcanic Exploration (i.e. 2015's Deep Sea Explorers meets 2016's Volcano Explorers) City Zoo

Yeah, that sounds about right from what I can make of it. Put into context, it's more or less the LEGO Ideas platform applied The LEGO Group, the LEGO System(s), and new product lines as a whole rather than just singular products/sets.

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I've never read the books nor watched their cinematic adaptations, so I'd like to know from those knowledgeable of the source material if any of those mentioned characters would be better suited for a second CMS rather than just being slipped into playsets. Likewise, did that hold true for any of the characters/variants featured within the first Wizarding World CMS from last year?- 961 replies

That's what I figured would be the least they could do, as that part is sufficient enough for such to be honest; but, at the same time, I've seen previous CMFs introduce all-new parts for themselves where there was already a sufficient enough part available for the job. For me, as one of the most outstanding examples of such, did they really need to give Series 17's Retro Spaceman a new Raygun mold? I actually don't think so, but they did so nonetheless for some pressing reason.

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Out of all the franchises that have been represented within the Collectable Minifigure theme so far, I do strongly feel that Disney has the best chance at longevity on par with the non-licensed line of CMS, having just as much potential to reach up to at least ten CMS due to its wide umbrella of TV shows and movies that the brand encompasses. So, yeah, I'd be more than happy to see Disney be the first licensed CMS subtheme to "crack the two Series ceiling" so to speak with a third Series. I'd be totally fine with the former suggestion, though I'd like to know, what could a potential Wizarding World Series 2 cover that couldn't be covered by its playsets? Outside of the first Series acting as a way to kick-off the revival of the theme, was that CMS honestly really necessary? A Hanna Barbera CMS would definitely be much more preferable, as it'd have much more to offer in the long-run, much akin to the potential Disney has! As a hypothetical sequence of release, perhaps January could give us a CMS based upon a franchise not yet covered by the Collectable Minifigure theme, Series 20 in April or May in celebration of the theme's Tenth Anniversary, with Disney Series 3 finally arriving in August/September to cap the year off. Yeah, I think I'd like it that way.- 961 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Digger of Bricks replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I only visit this topic (and for that matter, this subforum as a whole) about once in a blue moon so to speak, just to check if there's any Rise of Skywalker set rumors/news when I'm curious about such on occasion. I just have to ask, do playset rumors for this theme typically surface this early on?! I mean, most other themes have product rumors for the next year arrive in August of the preceding year at the earliest... -
Irrespective of its belongings to Series 19 or not, if the mold at least is indeed real, I'd hope to see it reused for a vintage-style "leatherhead" football player CMF in a future series, just for the potential new leather helmet mold such a figure may introduce. Huh, it's funny you should mention that, because why haven't we seen anything sports-related from that theme anyway?

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
We're at least pretty sure that Series 20 will be expected to take up one of the three slots for such next year, so I am hoping a Series 3 for Disney can be assured for next year as so to become an annual mainstay within the Collectable Minifigure line. If it were to indeed play out that way, then that third slot could be reserved for some new experimental franchise for the line to "test the waters" with, given that there'll be no cinematic LEGO Movies to stake a spot, while I feel a second Wizarding World CMS will be reserved for Fall 2021 to coincide with the cinematic release of the third Fantastic Beasts movie.- 961 replies

Of course, that's the most obvious elephant in the room in regards to such a suggestion, so perhaps just a simple tag could be enough (as so to more easily escape such trolls' attention)? I mean, has such harassment happened to LEGO Reps here before due to their Ranking Badge?

Agreed on the arms and legs, though the torso's not half-bad! Kinda vaguely reminds me of Rick O'Connell's outfit from The Mummy: -

Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Given this year's lackluster Endgame playsets primarily due to the film's total avoidance of major spoilers, does anyone here feel Lego could make up for such with a D2C Avengers' Compound in the next couple of years? I mean, not only could such a set given proper representation to the film, but also the cumulative MCU as a whole in retrospect, given that location's presence in four other cinematic entries previously. -

If you want an interesting live action of it, look up Snow White: A Tale of Terror with Sigourney Weaver as the Queen. Loved the different touches to the story that they added. Weird, I'm really quite baffled that I've never heard of that cinematic adaptation before...
