  1. I saw these back in December and was quite impressed! Since then, your following Batmobiles have wowed me since. By the way, are the light grey/black dual molded legs on some of your Batmans real, or custom? I haven't seen them in any sets or products so far.
  2. Trans-clear and trans-black certainly are much more realistic and serious colors for canopies, but trans-yellow to me always has seemed to imply a back lit cockpit, with a yellow glow shining though the canopy giving a degree of realism. I suppose the same can be said about other colored canopies, but trans-yellow implies that idea the best I think.
  3. Weirdly, Flash looks like he has a Minecraft Steve smile.
  4. Oh, I didn't think of that! I just finished lamenting the mold's limitations, but unless the mold is licenced to WB, it could be used for that!
  5. Not bad! The only problem l have with is that the side bolts look like they have been molded on, not printed. This has now limited the mold to exclusive usage only for DCEU Flash.
  6. It would be great to see Creator to return to the Designer Series sets that originally ran from 2003 to 2005 as a model, breaking the 3 in 1 mold used for so many years now. This perhaps could even be adopted for Expert series sets, with a star build and an accompanying idea book to inspire infinite possibilities. One of the closest sets adopting this concept recently is 2015's Minecraft 21116 Crafting Box. I hoped the popularity the Minecraft theme would allow the Crafting Box idea to be used in other themes, both original and licensed.
  7. I think Killer Croc's final design is great, but the icing on the cake is the usage of the old upper crocodile head, giving him their own signature Lego touch! I was certainly surprised they didn't opt for the newer upper head. The only thing is, I don't think Lego has ever made the old crocodile in olive green before the mold's retirement, which is somewhat unfortunate.
  8. I also like your usage of TLBM Bruce Wayne hairpiece for Superman, I have never even considered that! It looks great!
  9. Though we did get the molten plastic look for Two Face, that alternate design would have been awesome! I do wish the DIY real world connections were stronger in the film, especially with the final character designs.
  10. Ohh, I like the modifications! For Aquaman though, upcoming DC Girls set 41239 has a Flash minidoll sporting DCEU Superman's hairpiece in yellow, something I thing would make a perfect classic Aquaman! Also, Wonder Woman in this set has a great comic styled shield to be used for minifigure Wonder Woman. http://hajip.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/dc_aquaman_2.jpg
  11. Come to think of it now, a better part solution to the roof/plate part I proposed would be a two plate height part with the same proposed part no. 22391 footprint that would be similar to part no. 45677 pictured below, with "cheese sloped" edges. This would allow just a little more headroom for a minifigure.
  12. A plate with the footprint of Nexo Knights part no. 22391 would be great to roof Nexo Knights windshield part no. 22483, so the windshield could be utilized in automobile MOCs. Also, I'm hope to see more parts made in the presumably new Copper Metallic color introduced in winter 2017 Ninjago sets for Vermillion swords.
  13. Its pretty good, the new expressions (including that not before seen annoyed one) are perhaps the best part of the figure, especially for who don't care for the post convergence design, though maybe the head could be adopted by future Wonder Woman figures. The figure was probably chosen for the book since its the character's 75th anniversary this year. I think a first appearance design would though be much more appropriate for the occasion, but not preferable for kids buying the book who would like a cooler, armored look for the character.
  14. I would love to see an aviator centric Adventurers theme with Sky-Fi/Dieselpunk elements, while also retaining the original theme's exploration and lost civilization elements. Perhaps it could be set in the mid to late 1940's, with many references and homages to the original Adventurers theme, even being a chronological successor to it. Maybe an older Johnny Thunder could even be a supporting main character!
  15. Could the Creator Expert theme be viable for pirates? I can not see smaller Creator pirates sets being done, something fitting the 3 in 1 build concept as opposed to play sets, which most smaller non ship pirate sets happen to be. Since 2013, Advanced Model sets have been branded under the Creator theme, and the one roadblock I can see for Expert series pirate ships is Creator's avoidance of large, prefabricated parts such as boat hull pieces. Perhaps Lego would build boat hulls under Expert from scratch, using advanced techniques?
  16. Are those Mega Bloks, other brand, or third party fan company made?
  17. I would definitely spend $130 on the LBM Ultimate Batmobile over the Flying Fox, primarily because of the Ultimate Batmobile build quality and the fact that it comes with THREE trans-yellow X-Wing canopies (part no. 21849)!
  18. As far as Creator goes, castle seems like to me a good candidate for Expert series Creator sets, where as classic space though could maybe only get as far as $70 sets such as 2015's 31039 Blue Power Jet. Castle would have much broader appeal beyond the AFOL community, where as classic space appeal primarily to AFOLs and those who grew up with the sets. Expert series sets dealing with space will probably be more like 2010's 10213 Shuttle Adventure, based on more familiar, real life examples. Castle will also appeal to both American and European audiences, something that seems to me to be a factor considered by the Creator Expert team for sub-themes like Expert cars, trains, and architecture.
  19. I have a few ideas for some new city sub-themes, maybe mentioned on this thread before. A small archaeological sub-theme centered around a medieval castle dig site outside of the theme's city limits would be great addition to City's exploration trend. This can incorporate the traditional castle theme into City as a homage to Castle. Next, a film crew sub-theme composed of an urban action movie shoot could be a great throwback to 2000's Lego Studios, with sets depicting camera rig cars filming car chase scenes for instance. Also, what about a alpine search an rescue theme? Sort of as a non-coastal variant of the frequent coast guard theme. Lastly, a moon base space theme could work, as a variant of the normal City space theme and to make up for the lack of a traditional one. Besides, Lego City's recent exploration themes have traveled waaaaay outside the city limits.
  20. Already mentioned, perhaps, but it's great to see this set utilizing part no. 27255 (the so called "Nexogon" shield) for construction purposes!
  21. Not mine, but just another "step on Lego" meme that uses one of Cole Blaq's Enter the Brick creations. I thought it was clever.
  22. Another part pair that would be nice to see would be an inverse of part no. 42060/42061 pictured below. Same can be said for its smaller counterpart.
  23. No, it would be angled from end to end, instead of transitioning from angled to vertical. It would be a way of shifting an angle left or right a stud.
  24. Great MOC! The DCEU batmobile door usage is quite clever too. Funny, who knew Lego would provide us with a Batman color scheme theme to build off of, much like Lego space themes have .
  25. The Lego Movie was WAG's (Warner Animation Group) first film after its founding the previous year. WAG is currently responsible for WB's feature animated films. Given Looney Toons is what WB is best known for as far as animation goes, wouldn't a Looney Toons/Lego crossover film be perfect for honoring these two franchises which have started each of these endeavors ( Warner animation overall and WAG, respectively). A Lego Looney Toons Movie could span a cartoon animated/real world/Lego multiverse much like Space Jam and 2006's Looney Toons: Back in Action did between the real and animated universe. I'm surprised WAG does not have any plans for the Looney Toons franchise, instead focusing on a Hanna Barbara shared universe.
