That Snowspeeder better come with the new helmet mould printed for Dak or Wes or Wedge or I may lose all hope. -

You're right there wasn't, 7130 was the first. My first SW set in fact as a child. It was predominantly grey with a small amount of orange. -

Do you think the old helmet in the 4+ set has anything to do with the 'safety' of the new helmet or is it probably just a way to use up old stock on kids who will just be happy to get pilot Luke? The new helmet does now feature in keyring form, but the keyrings are categorised as 6+. -

I'm sure many people are hoping that tbh, but considering all the new January sets include the new mould that would just be bizarre so I can't see that happening. Scratch that, that's exactly why it might just happen. ? -

Something tells me they mistakenly made too many clones last year ... ? Granted, some may like the dropship if it includes multiples of the new stormie, but still ... -

It did go down quite quickly on Amazon UK as @AntiKragle says and I recently got it in a supermarket online flash sale for around 48% off RRP. It was reduced to around 36% off RRP and then the retailer was doing another 20% off spends over £50 so it was a great reduction overall. Stock didn't last long, but it does happen. I'm not normally that lucky though so I was very pleased. :) But I get the impression that the US tends to get far better discounts generally at the big superstores than we get in the UK so I'd be surprised if it didn't come down at some point. -

Well it's definitely retired in Europe so I would guess the US probably just has more stock, but I would think it's not too far behind. -

There's only one Boba's Slave 1 now in CC as the UCS has now retired, and considering the popularity of Boba's Slave 1, limiting his ship to only being in CC could be used as a marketing technique to drive sales of 75222. Jango's Slave 1 has also not been seen for so many years it's kind of crazy to think that we would get another Boba's Slave before Jango's. On the other hand, if this is a 20th Anniversary set, Boba's Slave is the iconic ship that fits that description. Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive has also just retired, which would mean that Jango's ship has just lost it's 'enemy' ship in terms of play. Then again, Lego has shown little forward thinking in that respect when they delayed the release of Assault On Hoth, meaning that the AT-AT Walker had retired the year before, so that doesn't necessarily rule anything else. Obi-Wan's Starfighter retiring now also means there is now no Jango or young Boba minifigures on the market, so could they be moving to their own ship? There's reasons to think either could be coming, but no solid proof of anything so we shall just have to wait and see. -

All of the sets just discussed are slated to release around April, apart from the two UCS sets which are May/October. The podracer set is part of the 'anniversary' sets supposedly, but there are also three more 'anniversary' sets we don't yet know anything of apart from the set numbers. The 'anniversary wave' are just sets released in April which will supposedly come with a bonus yellow skinned minifigure following one of the original minifigure designs. Have a look at the Star Wars 2019 News thread - Tidy has it all rounded up over there. :) -

UCS Slave 1 is now sold out on the UK S@H so think it has finally retired. -

I wouldn't worry too much about that video (I shan't discuss it more here), as usually the January wave consists of smaller sets; this year, for instance, in the Winter wave we got Grievous' Speeder, Ahch-To, some Microfighters etc with the biggest set being Defense of Crait, whilst the Summer wave had the X-Wing, Sandcrawler etc. Of course, the Solo movie produced some bigger sets in April, but the larger sets were generally more towards the second half of the year. We already have rumours of the summer anniversary sets consisting of such sets as Anakin's Podracer and then there is the 'rumoured' 4000+ piece set for later this year, so the trend seems to be exactly the same this year as any other. :) Merry Christmas :) -

Thanks for the heads up. :) I'm still not sold, as this does fit more with the 'scale' of the new rebel pilot helmet (which I like), and dual moulding is good progress, but the video just highlights what the leaked photos did; even if you can get over the elongated front angle, that side profile just looks wrong to me. I will hold further judgement until I get the fig in hand. -

I can't comment on figures sent straight from Lego, but I have had a lot of tight minifigures in sets lately. -
Something like that.

Doesn't that just mean 'We've heard you, but not now.' ? Although yeah, I need some 501st clones.

You say 'giveaway', but I highly doubt that extra figure won't be worked into the price. -
Wow that is one stunning creation; you've really captured the atmosphere of Hogwarts. I love all the interior details. I would have preferred tan for the outside colour I think, but that's just personal opinion. Hagrid's hut is very cute, and the extra lighting really adds to the archaic atmosphere. :)

I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere that they will be replicas of the old figs, so same skin tone, printing etc. Pilot Luke springs to mind. -

100% agree, but I shall reserve judgement until we know more about the sets and the potential new fleshy minifigures. But yes, yellow toned figs for nostalgia sake has zero appeal to me. -

Sir von Lego said it back sometime ago in this thread. Comment has since been deleted I believe as he has decided to stop contributing, but he has always been reliable in general. -
