  1. And here I was thinking I was the only weird kid who felt like that :)
  2. It does look that way which is kind of odd if it's based on TPM. I'm sure we'll get clearer pics soon.
  3. My first thought was that Luke is going to get sucked sideways out of that 'cockpit' ?. But I'm clearly not the target audience and I'm sure kids will love it. I think maybe this solves the helmet 'mystery' apart from issues of cost etc - the new helmet would be too big for Luke to wear and fit under that cockpit piece. You can see he has to lean right back as it is. I see Chewbacca has remarkably aged backwards from his younger looking self from the Han Solo sets. Not that I mind, as that figure is perfectly good enough. As for the camo droids, did they ever actually appear on screen in either ROTS or Clone Wars? I honestly can't remember seeing them, but they are very cool.
  4. There have definitely been deals this early on past Advent Calendars so I wouldn't take that as an indication of sales. In terms of their shelf life, the calendars have actually been out a while now despite Christmas still being weeks away.
  5. Thank you Hendrik for all your contributions. Your efforts will be missed, but wishing you all the best. :)
  6. The new Stormtrooper is supposedly coming in the 75235 4+ X-Wing and the 75229 Death Star set so that means it's not exclusive to just the 4+ line. It will be interesting to see if the rumoured sandtrooper in the escape pod vs dewback set is a sandy version of this new mold or if they use the old one. It could be a year with many contradicting helmets if they use the old.
  7. Some more pics on IG showing the new Stormie helmet from different angles if anyone's interested. Also, the leaker is promising that another Rebel will leak next week ...
  8. And why they walk into walls. ?
  9. Thanks for the pics; the minifigures look really cute in those dinky spaces. They are totally disproportional and yet somehow it works, probably because like you say the scale isn't too different to the minifigure sets so we're use to seeing them in small places.
  10. I like the new mould, but if anything it fits more with the 4+ line and that new oversized Stormtrooper helmet mould. Maybe they still have a load of the old ones to get rid of. It would be good if Lego just stuck to one design though; having the old mould in the 4+ and the new mould in 75218 just adds to the distinction between the 4+ sets and the other sets which is what I thought they were trying to get rid of by scrapping the Juniors branding.
  11. Okay so in another unfathomable move by Lego, the Luke minifigure from the 4+ X-Wing has leaked and it has the old style of helmet with a printed visor. ?
  12. Me too. I've just caved and bought the "UCS" Hogwarts when I had little interest in it before. I did want the four minifigures, so considering they're going for a ridiculous £150 approx on ebay and then with the free DA (for Ollivander) and double points (UCS Hogwarts and Winter Fire Station are double VIP for November in UK) I thought all in all I might as well just buy the set. It will give me a nice building project for the foreseeable and I can either pack it away after or use it for parts. Lego got me good. ?
  13. So I'm guessing you're not a fan of this wave then ;) No, in all seriousness I'm glad you spent the time summing it up. I wholeheartedly agree. My only silver lining is that this wave will really save my purse. I understand SW sets are not made just for AFOLS ... that's who UCS sets are targeted at. But I can't help but think those 4+ sets are a step backwards. Even as a kid I valued the design and these would not have appealed to me; I grew up in the era where Lego released that wave of small SW ships, the precursors to Microfighters, and I was going to put them on my Christmas list one year because I could get them all for the same amount as one large set. Then I could have a space battle and play and ... I couldn't do it ... because really they just weren't that interesting. And I don't know if they are going to keep that big 4+ on the box, but that screams 'childish' just as much as 'Juniors' did so I don't think older kids will favour that branding any better. I'm really hoping the April wave has some good surprises in store in terms of prequel sets, because there's only so many times Lego can release AT-APs, Droid Gunships, Homing Spider Droids, Clone Turbo Tanks and Naboo Starfighters and consider the prequels largely covered.
  14. I think either way would pretty much cost the same, but if you get the GH from Lego now at least you will definitely have DA. Both should also come in good condition from Lego and you'll get a few VIP points. :)
  15. Hhmm tricky one ... but probably Hagrid, Filch and Quidditch Harry. I love the new Hagrid with his lantern and umbrella and Filch's expression is really good. On the other hand, Quidditch Harry isn't even the most accurate (no printing on legs), but he is just so super cute with that little red cape. :)
  16. A comparison image of the old RFT vs the new is currently the first image in that search under 'top posts'. If you scroll down past all the new Overwatch and stuff you'll also find an image of it in someone's hand.
  17. It could be, but you normally get one 'good guy' and one 'bad guy' in a Microfighter dual pack ...
  18. On an Instagram story, there is a photo of a little boy minifigure in red/gold clothes and at the edge of the photo is another figure. It looks like the Resistance Bomber Pilot in both the torso and helmet, but although it's blurry, the little bit of the face you can see suggests to me that the face is different. Could suggest that the Finch Dallow figure is from a bigger set with other figures not a microfighter? Just a thought ...
  19. The UK November 2018 store calendar can now be viewed at https://www.lego.com/en-gb/stores. Diagon Alley is indeed available between 5-21 November and with purchases over £80 in the UK.
  20. Thank you. It's been reshared now. :)
  21. Where on IG please? ? Loving the new Rebel trooper and they have a double sided face.
  22. No official pics that I know of. A custom Iden Versio has just turned up on eBay so that might be the source of the confusion, although the listing clearly states it'a a custom.
  23. ^^ I was so trying not to say it ? I think the legs look acceptable, but when you've seen the skirt piece they just don't look as regal. The skirt piece really gives the guards that extra presence I think.
  24. Would have been cheaper to just not make the red printed skirt piece in the first place ... people would have still wanted the guards, legs or skirt. Lego works in mysterious ways ?
