  1. Well this months budget was tyres and rims.. Since i don't own any.
  2. Lego has went down the drain lately.. I wonder if they have hired the wrong people..
  3. EDIT: Nvm, i figured it out using LDD..
  4. Can't wait till the instructions are out! That thing is awesome!
  5. Is the front end openable for access to RC items? Can this thing be made with buwizz with small modifications? I'm seriously loving this thing cause rebrickable has no 100% purely technic mining trucks that are RC.
  6. I'm already drooling for them instructions.. Not that i have the parts to make it any time soon... Is it possible to make with the old hubs?
  7. Thank you for your constructive criticism. I will now go to an hobby RC store and purchase an rc crawler. If only i would have come up with that idea.
  8. How about ditching the clutches completely and just going with a wormgear? The linear actuators themselves should have a clutch inside.
  9. It has a nice classic technic vibe to it in the bodywork.
  10. Is there room for dual clutches? You could double the friction.
  11. Man, that's awesome.. Planning on doing instructions for it when it's done?
  12. My kind of thread! I'm currently working on @nico71's cralwer: But i lack the long shock towers that the moc uses.. Since i'm using buwizz, i'm removing the gearbox for the winch and placing the buwizz where the battery box is.. But i need to get some kind of shock system from the normal small shocks.. I wonder if anybody has done this crawler and done this exact mod? If not then it's up to me to make it happen.. Rear axle has been a pain to add the springs to.. Not impossible but hard to make the frame strong enough so the yellow springs don't just twist and pop out of the studs they're mounted.. Same issues with front axle currently.. Can't give you pictures before i get an usb C adapter so i can attach my phone to the PC..
  13. Thanks! I could make it so it's 2 motors, one for each axle.. That way i'd have more control on climbing.
  14. I've gotta ask and i think this might be the appropriate thread to ask. If i make a crawler that will be used 99% of the time just crawling obstacles, do i need diffs on front and rear axles or should i be perma-locked?
  15. Amazing work.. You could shrink down in size and use that thing!
  16. The u joints and cv joints are a weak point in that. But it's an interesting design for sure.
  17. No i was talking about 6x6 axles.. You know, the 4 tyres mounted to the chassis and they're linked to eachother so if a wheel goes up, the other must go down.. Oscillating bogie or what ever it was called? There is no name for that system that i know of. I wonder if i should go for a tatra style rear axle for my truck.. I've been stuck with the rear axle for so long that i might just ditch the idea and have it a 4x6 instead. But this time it will need diffs as the front wheels steer and have no drive.
  18. Does anybody have a 6x6 rear axle design? I think it's called oscillating axle or something.. You know, lift one wheel and other goes down. 13 studs between tyres so compact but needs to be sturdy.
  19. It's compact yes.. But it doesn't look very tough. The axle for the motor is off center which means either offcenter balance or added gears.. Also the steering can't move 90 degrees which requires additional parts for the servo in order it to move the full 90 degrees.
