  1. Thank you Maxim! And nice to see you again. Thank you Khorne. Here's the link to that model ship, there's no helm visible on the deck, so I assumed that it's placed under the poop deck.
  2. @Khorne Thank you, glad you like my ship. It has a leopard figurehead because there was a minifig with leopard costume laying on my table, and that Minecraft figure belongs to my son, he was displaying his men on the ship when I was going to take the pictures, he must forgot to take it back and it belongs to me now. Thank you, glad you like it.
  3. Glad you like it, NOD. About the knots, well, once you get used to it, it's quite fun.
  4. Thanks, I can what you meant by white skull, but I've say that it's supposed to be a window.
  5. Captain Surlecoup, as an Olean privateer, made his first appearance in the Westface, while the RNTC was carrying out a mission in Terraversa. OL's mission in Westface had to solicit the captain's help after having detained by the local authority, despite their prior efforts in rescueing shipwrecked TVsans. The whole thing turned out to be a trap set by the lawless TV militia, and without the intervention of a more reasonable mind, war between OL and TV could have taken place years before. Then, our relentless captain has proved his competence and savoir-faire during the Lotus incident, delivering precious information about the motivation behind that sudden incursion of Lotii in El Oleonda, and in the subsequent sea battle, he, with his samourai friends, captured a Lotii warjunk. It's in recognition of his devotion to the Crown that this frigate was specially designed and built for him. In line with the latest advancement in OL's naval architecture, this ship has the particularity of offering more room for the crew, allowing them to better adapt to a prolonged journey on sea. To be licensed as a class 6 ship. OOC: I beat my record on shipbuilding with these two ships, as my family and I endured another turn of knock down due to the virus where I live, which gave me a lot of building time, but the down side is the delivery service was down too, so I had to work with the existing bricks. This frigate was built after a model of French frigate that I found on the net, it's labeled as "a privateer frigate" and has the particularity of having an enclosed weather deck, or some sort of extended poop deck, not commonly seen on other frigates I think.
  6. The Olean fleet has been blockading the Terraversa since months, despite their best efforts, several Corrie and Eslandian ships have managed to pass through the blockade and landed hundreds of troops on that island, complicating the already complex situation. In response to this show of force, the ministry of the colonnies has ordered a couple of new ships to the Eltina Shipyards, where men were working at full capacity since the start of hostility. Here's one example of the newly commissioned by la Royale. Built for speed and firepower, this class of new frigates, along with other heavy hitters, will help Oleon to maintain its naval superiority. Duc de Boussac on the poop deck, apparently happy with the sailing performance of his new ship. To be licensed as a class 6 ship.
  7. Should be a challenging task, considering the current circumstances, I don't envy your roles. Those who aren't interested in political intrigues could find their consolation in the builds illustrating this negotiation, I hope everyone could have fun.
  8. Another instalment of Count's story, good to see Count's personal life being flashed out, the mansion looks good.
  9. @CapOnBOBS Excellent build! So much to see, my favourites parts are the office building and the jetty, and it's very thoughtful to build a shrine, very Oleandish.
  10. It's a nice depiction of an artillery emplacement, I like all the details reproduced there, and the grey torsos look good too. Sacrilege! Interesting, I want these torsos too.
  11. "What a desolated view." General Gabriel said to a lieutenant of the cavalry, while walking in the street of King's Port. "Let's hope we could find a way to prevent such fate falls on other Terraversan cities. Take this letter and make sure that Oldis receives it." A letter from his excellency Duc de Vele @Captain Genaro. To Miro Oldis and the leaders of his forces, In light of the current events in Kings Port I wish to discuss an honorable peace between your forces and those of the Empire of Oleon. Your forces have fought valiantly and with great honor, and we wish for the peace to reflect the honor and sacrifices made by all forces in this conflict. Should the war continue we fear a devastating humanitarian crisis will erupt across the island. Pamu lacks the strong defenses found in Kings Port, and our fleet is capable of blockading the city while our forces siege it from the land. Further conflict will subject Pamu to a horrific bombardment, and without the fortifications of Kings Port the people will suffer needlessly. Those who survive the bombardment, in a city already burdened by the influx of soldiers and civilians from Kings Port, shall quickly be subject to horrific starvation and disease. Westface, also burdened with an influx of refugees, is dependent on Corrington for foodstuff, but it is clear from their recent actions Corrington is more concerned with imperial aggression than aiding your people. Furthermore, it is no secret that Corrington is openly aiding L’Olius, not the forces of Miro Oldis. Their continued support for this admiral, a man who has already demonstrated unchecked political ambition, could result in another civil war as L’Olius attempts to take control over the island. Recognizing these facts, we hope you shall move quickly to accept our offer to join us in Kings Port to discuss a peaceful resolution to this conflict. On behalf of the Most Sacred Crown of Oleon, Brigadier des Armées Charles Louis Gabriel Commander of His Most Sacred Majesty's forces in Terraversa
  12. @CapOnBOBS Sorry to let to you to bear the blame by yourself, but one may expect such reaction when someone posts two imposing forts with a lot of guns on them.
  13. What a ship! It's good to see that you're back in business again.
  14. War is like a big machine you know, it may still run a while after the stop bouton is pressed down, but if you guys want to jump in its path before it stops, I'll not try to stop you.
  15. It's a great name for a warship, and I like how you've built the masts.
  16. It has a strong hull for a gunboat, it'll be hard nut to crack. The bow looks good, I think you can build a larger ship from it.
  17. I strongly recommend you to leave the Natives alone, unless you want to drag them in an inegal fight, guns versus stone axes. It's Philip, not Filipo. And it's very kind to pay a visit to one of our remote colonnies, I hope your men there could contribute to its development, we'll be pleased to check your progress when we retake it.
  18. Thank you Faladrin. The war in Terraversa is over, resistance is futile now.
  19. Great write up, Bregir! Finally, we can rise our beloved flag on the citadel at King's Port. Soldiers and sailors must be exhausted by months of uninterrupted battle, it's time to give them a rest.
  20. Nice build. I like the extensive of brown pieces. Good story too.
  21. Clever use of clamp and technic bricks.
  22. The Corries are building forts too, that's alarming! I like how it looks, with all these ornaments, nice landscape.
  23. @CapOnBOBS Even if forts' combat radius aren't that large, building forts is still an efficient way (if not the most efficient from the aspect of cost/efficiency) to protect a settlement, so keep them coming!
  24. @Spud The Viking The custom hull looks great! It's the way to go when we want to build larger ships. By giving it a closer look, I think I might be able to give you a few advices. First, I have to say that I'm not trying to undermine COR's shipbuilding efforts, maybe I am. I noticed that the sides are only partly connected with the "keel", this may cause stability issue at later stage of construction, you'll find these connecting points aren't sturdy enough to support the whole weight of the ship, especially with a custom rigging, since you'll need to exert certain stress on the ropes to keep the masts straight. I've had the same problem with my custom hulls, and my solution is this: It isn't a clever solution, but it's sturdy enough, I placed the ship on its side to take the pic and nothing breaks, not even the masts. On the other hand, such modification means you'll have to start over, so maybe it isn't a good idea. I also suggest you to place the mizzen mast further aft, it looks okay now, but when the stern is finished, with its overhang, you might want to re-position that mast, and it won't be so easy with the decks closed and the rigging attached..
  25. Thanks NOD. Thanks Thaum. Speaking of broken tile, I don't know why but these brown tiles are easy to break, weird.
