  1. The timber building looks great, and it can be opened to show the interior, it's even better!
  2. That's a proper fort! The King shall be proud of your performance, admiral.
  3. In anticipation of departure of the liberating force, the loyalists of Pilnton have been busying with the construction of a wooden fort since the past few weeks. They were helped by the Oleander sapeurs during the construction. Now, with the completion of this defensive structure, the bluecoats are confident to leave the town in the hands of the locals. The OL soldiers marched to their ships under the accalamation of the partisans loyal to the monarchy. Thrilled to be freed from the reign of that usurpator in King's Port, the newly appointed mayor congratulated himself with a bottle of fine Olean wine.
  4. I second the others for the water effect, hope these guys could find what they are looking for.
  5. The dock looks good, the canons protruding from the gatehouses is very WTC.
  6. Great moc! Lot of details here, the chapel looks great, nicely done .
  7. Looks great! A clean and neat build.
  8. Taking notes of roof technique, I also noticed the tan horse from the latest Ideas set, the base and the tree look great too, and it's very daring to use lavender to build your walls.
  9. Sorry, I expressed badly, I didn't mean discussion group on Facebook, but on Chinese forums.
  10. Something like that, if my memory is correct.
  11. I know there are 2 large discussion groups, one with 300k+ subscribers, the other has 130k+. I helped to run a lego forum 15 years ago in China, at that period, very few people play lego and the number of AFOLs were even scarcer. TLG only becomes to be known by the public in the last 10 years, TLG has opened flagship stores in many large Chinise cities, and lego magazines are available in convenient store and kiosks. However, considering that TLG is maintaining the same pricing policy everywhere, this coupled with import taxes, means that lego sets are being sold at higher prices in China. So I think the market share of clone brands is still larger than TLG's in China.
  12. I've shared this news to a Chinese lego community, their reaction is the same as one may expect from lego fans, frustration and indignation. It may be interesting to note that these cloning companies not only steal from Ideas, but also from Chinese moccers. Alas, currently ,there's little we can do against these counterfeits, but at least I'm sure that those who buy lego sets won't buy these copies.
  13. A Valentine's day build, looks great.
  14. Neat build! I like the use of transparent pieces as windows.
  15. The farm house and the tea plantation look both very good. Nice job!
  16. So they did some modifications, but in the wrong way.
  17. It looks not so bad, this expanded version of the original design, it's a shame that the cloning company didn't go a step further, they could have work out a more realistic looking ship, instead of copying the Ideas design.
  18. The Ambition is the sistership of the Aspiration built by Phred. The Devil Barnacle is a npc pirate's ship (not sure), if the Ville de Granoleon is one of the five faction ships allocated to each faction, then it's normal that you can't find any link of them, since they have never been mocced. @Bregir can we sistership them in this case? That was my thought too, we can't have two sistershipped ships at the same time. I think CapOnBobs is going to modify his post.
  19. Thank you Bregir. She was sunk during OL's initial assault on KP back in september of last year. I sistershipped her as Inflexible.
  20. I have to say that the reason why OL failed to take any counter-measure is at that moment, I got the impression that we would see another "back and forth" event like we were experiencing in Kingsport, where the belligerents have to submit multiple builds as per the combat rules, before reaching an outcome. But in fact, raiding mechanism was applied to Fatu Hiva, and the success of a raid depends on whether it can create an effect of surprise. So, the fall of Fatu Hiva is mostly on me. But don't worry, we'll get it back soon.
  21. Nice photography and cute build as said above, these sheep look good.
  22. The harbour master scratching his head at the sight of the ship named Le Fougueux, and said to himself: Le Fougueux sistershipped as Le Fougueux, what's the difference between the old and the new?
  23. Nice ship section, it even has a tumblehome!
  24. I think you meant 5 days before the deadline, otherwise what's the point to announce it when the deadline is expired? The attacked party won't be able to anything then. There's nothing to worry about your action, it's well prepared and executed. It's great to see the raid mechanism has performed so well, we should try to have more raids in the future.
  25. Though I'm in favour of an open system that is accessible to all, I reckon that the reason why the court prefer to keep it in a "black box" is there are some factors such as the quality of builds, that aren't as simple to determine as the stats. For example, "quality" is very objective, the point of view may vary greatly between the builder and the viewers. So, once we can find a way to make these kinds of factors measurable, we'll be able to work out an open system.
