i did my homeworks too, seems that the Chinese bought some falconetto from Portuguese traders in the early 16th century and kept mass producing them till the next century. Glad you like the Kylo Ren torso too, the harquebuses are from the Minifig Cats, if my memory is correct. From Minifig Cats as said above, in their series of Japanese warriors, they got some decent looking samurai armours and blades, and of course these harquebuses. Thanks NOD, glad you like it.

[OL - FB] Friendly Fire in Neustadt

Hilarious story but historically accurate, as they were Scottish volunteers serving under the crown of France in 18th century. Nice facade. -

My entry for cat.1a. Lotii units -
From left to right, cavalrymen, one with dragon helment has sabre and triple-barreled handgun, and the one with conical helmet prefers to use his good ol' bow. The triple-barreled handgun was a cavalry weapon and was used as a shotgun, at very close range, the reason that Lotii kept this rudimeantry weapon instead of more efficient muskets was they could use it as a hammer when the shots were fired. Then comes two swordmen, they were trained to melee combat and were equiped with swords and shields, their armors are effective against blades but not against bullets. At the forefront is a artilleryman serving a breech loading gun. This kind of weapon was introduced by Madrician traders hundred years ago. On the far right are two musketmen using harquebuses and wearing some sort of composite armour, or known as cotton armour, several layers of cloth weaved together with metal plates, it can offer certain protection against handguns, but can't withstand a direct shot of a musket.

Very nice frigate. You made a strong start for your first ship. Good job with the custom hull and the rigging. I've been following this in the wip thread and it's great to see it in its complete form.

[OL - FotL Cat1A] The Blue Banner answers the call
Bodi replied to Khorne's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Khorne I was waiting for your post as I wanted to see what you'll be able to work out after having pionneerd in introducing Far East militarymen in this game, and the wait was worth it. Those are serious stuff. -
[COR-FotL-Cat1A]] Viceroy's Horse Archers and Personal Guard
Bodi replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Here are a bunch of Lotii soldiers well put together. I like their headgear, the wheels work quite well to be honest, they look like those fur hats wore by the nomad riders, the colonial hats have certain ressemblance to Ming helmets as well. -
[OL-Troop] 1st company of collabos in Eltina

Sadly true, those who don't want war have to bear the consequnce of it and those who want war make profits out of it. -
[OL-Troop] 1st company of collabos in Eltina
Bodi replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Here's the link to the ship. Maybe some of them are already en route to your rats' lair. Thanks. Or they were reproaching their own people for not welcoming them with open arms, instead of those who abondoned them as old rags. Sad coincidence indeed. If we want to have another diplomatic drama, yes, we should. We need to do this discretly. -
The astonishing military success of Olean invading force in King's Port was followed by an equally astonishing retreat. There were quite a few people who were shocked by the sight of the victorious Bluecoats evacuating embarassingly a city they just conquered. Among them, we may cite the example of the Terraversans collaborateurs, those men and women joined the ranks of the occupying force to restore the monarchy, to accomplish personal ambition, or simply to bring some food on their table. Hundreds of these collaborators provided assistance to OL, they called themselves "defenders of order", but the locals just called them "collabos". When they knew the departure of Oleans was inevitable, they rushed to the pier, fearing the reprisal from their own countrymen. Sadly for them, the order was formal, only Oleans can leave. So despite their indignation, imploration, they were refused access by the rear guards. And the browncoats were already there. Some of them decided to find another way of escape. The luckiest ones even managed to climb aboard of one of the troop carriers, only to find a menacing muzzle on their faces. Nevertheless, a few of them finally landed on OL soil. Now, with the Lotii on their door, the Crown once again call these men to service, only a few answered, unsurprisingly. Another company for the Crown!

The thing is almost everyone had his own version of story, but I guess it's not a big deal, unless we have to comply with of the story of the challenge winner? -

It's great to have another challenge, though for someone who hasn't followed closely the latest development of this game, I wonder if there's a link to the background story of Lotii incursion? Their motivation is quite fuzzy to me. Or is this mean that players are allowed to certain liberty in the narratives, to depict this conflict from different perspectives? -

Yep, that's all I was about to say. Great! You could also ask @Mesabi about how this game should be played, it involves a lot of calculations and dice rolling. -
Kings Port Advertiser and Ship List (Vol. 7, Issue 1)
Bodi replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great write up as usual and thumbs up for your time spent in keeping this monthly report going, capt.Wolf. On the other hand, I'm surprised to see OL's merchant fleets were unable to set sail this turn, next time maybe, who knows. The mayor of Eltina, maitre Romain thinks it's a good idea but on the other hand, he also think that it'd be inappropriate to host a game right now, since many people in his town have lost their sons or father in the recent conflict. Therefore, he proposes to give this opportunity to another OL settlement, a place that could benefit more from this gathering, a place like Nola Mar for example. -
Name: Kojima Ownership: Crown Location: Ile sous le Vent Mayor: Vacant Trade Value: Unknown Who can own property in Kojima: Anyone Who can freebuild in Kojima: Anyone Map: Unavailable About the settlement of Kojima Kojima is located on the island of Ile sous le Vent, a remote place that no one wants to adventure there, it would remained in its natural, un-disturbed status, if there wasn't that un-solicitated visit from a certain trade company. Two medium properties exist on that island for the moment.

Very nice, plenty of activities on the pier and in the basement, accompanied with a fun story.

A cute little boat, the rudder/tiler looks convincing and the last photo looks hilarious. -
Nice build, I see Cooke's accomodation hasn't improved much even he's no more in captivity.

[COR-FB] Military Academy at Fort Stockton, Wullham
Bodi replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
It took me a while to realize it was built with Duplo, didn't know they have those pieces now. It looks good as a whole, it's a good way to build large properties, especially the base. -
Great show, it's good to see so many ships displayed together, and they are from the same builder!
