José's Inn - Ye Olde BoBS Drinking Hole
Bodi replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Bregir is right about the prior notification, but I was expecting to see another King's Port like event in Fatu Hiva, using the land combat rules instead of raiding. We just need to know that it's first time we are having a proper war since the game started, it may look quite confusing but we'll learn from our mistakes. -
Kings Port Advertiser and Ship List (Vol. 6, Issue 1)
Bodi replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
In the OL headquarters in Breschaun, the staff officers are trying to figure out what happened at Fatu Hiva. Unfortunately, information is sparse, the only hypothesis they could draw for the moment is that the defenders failed to identify the WTC, they should have taken them as friendly ones and the garrison didn't have time to oppose a proper defense. There should be no other explanation, since the Oleanders lost a dozen of warships and suffered heavy casualities under similar circumstances a few months earlier. -

I like that guy with a stick, pushing the pigs back to the sty. The house looks good.- 10 replies

A courier station is a place where the mounted couriers can take a rest and replace their horses, back in the age of sail, telegram hasn't been invented yet and delivering messages by couriers or post carriages is one the most used ways of communication. Here we can see a light carriage carrying a messenger on its way to the next station. They passed by a pigsty, most of the courier stations in Oleon also offer food and accomodation services to the travelers. Menu of the day, roast pig. Finally, they arrived in front of the station, or you can also call it a hotel. Luckily for the lady, there was a guest room left. Four builds in all, to be licensed as a medium commerce in Eltina. Thank you viewing. C&C are welcome.

Raising up the properties is indeed an effective way to reduce the vulnerability to flood, I like to see such idea incorporated in your build, the interior looks good too.

A neat and clean build, looks like a sushi plate to me, especially with those flower pieces.

[OL-FB-Collab] Great Southern Bay Fortress
Bodi replied to CapOnBOBS's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That's true. The top of a fortication like this one is quite bare, as you said, just some platforms with a series of ramps connecting them to the lower level. -
French to English intrepretator required for a DARING MISSION!
Bodi replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
"Cordage" means rigging in English. -
Very detailed rigging for its size, and the shape is good too, instantly recognizable as a frigate, I also like the mini-wheel and capstan. Although I wonder if it's a good idea to have that sagging in the middle, a straight yellow stripe may look better for this scale.

[OL-FB-Collab] Great Southern Bay Fortress
Bodi replied to CapOnBOBS's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Impressive build, good job guys. I like the angled walls, as well as the island densely overgrown with tropical vegetation. -
[COR-TROOP] Busy day in Mesabi Landing
Bodi replied to Brickwolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The base looks good, the white structure reminds me of these forts we used to see in the colonnies, nice build. -
[OL TROOP] Beauchamp's Marauders - Nola Mar
Bodi replied to CapOnBOBS's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Well said. Nice build all around, turning the baseplate up side down is a good idea. -
[OL - Claim] Scratching in the Rocky Soil of Ile d'Or
Bodi replied to CapOnBOBS's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Another nice build from you! The rocky hill and the terrain built with plates look good. I see the team is trying to find the ore body horizontally, with a tunnel, though augering from the top might be an easier task to do, considering the relative low elevation of the hill. -
The Conquering Hero Returns in Triumph
Bodi replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice build! The wall texture looks great on these buildings, and what I like most in this build is the variety, both in architecture style and colour choice. -
[OL - FB] Burnt Quay Market, Jiangkai
Bodi replied to CapOnBOBS's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice scene. The rockword looks good, so does the trees, the offset shop is a nice touch, and it's great to see so many classic minifigs, especially those Islanders. -
"The secret of the lake" Episode 6 ~ The Temple
Bodi replied to Fraunces's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Looks impressive, I like the weathered and decayed look of the temple, nice job with the vegetation too. -
A nice looking ship, I like the raked masts and the use of round bricks on the stern.

The gunports are open, let's fire a full broadside. Neat little build!

Nice build. The tree, the stone wall and the house all look good, but what impresses me the most is the terrain.- 16 replies

[OL-FB] Another company embarks for Terra Versa - part 1
Bodi replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you. Glad you've noticed these details. Thank you Mesabi. I used the whip instead of an actual cord was because I wanted to try to build something using excusively lego pieces.
