[OL - A-MCRA] Travels to Terraversa
Bodi replied to Captain Genaro's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Mlle. de Valois was an agent of the Olean admiralty, shortly after the chaotic encounter between local militia and Olean marines, she managed to find somewhere to hide and disguised in local attire. She made her way to the outskirt of the town and came in front of an odd looking building. This was the safe house, de Valois was relieved to find the old-Jean sitting on the ground, holding a bottle of vine, which means their cover has not been blown. She asked old-Jean to find her contact, then she went up the stairs. A few moment later, Mlle de Valois sat down at a table with two suspicious-looking characters, Captain Surlecoup, an Olean privateer, and his first mate Mr. Fish. Where she asked Captain Surlecoup to find a way to deliver a message to Hollande. Mr. Surlecoup, was a greedy man, but he was also a patriot, agreed to send the message. Late in the evening, they met in a dark street of Westface. The town gate was closed and none can leave the town. "Are you sure you can deliver the message to Hollande?" asked de Valois. "We can't pass through the gate, but I know a passage beneath, you'll see." replied calmly Capt. Surlecoup. "Just tell Mr.Fish what you have to say to Hollande, he'll pass the message." Mr.Fish slipped into water and disappeared under the arch of the bridge. -
Excellent photos! It's good to see the minifigs exploring the real world.

Looking good, it's good to maintain a certain degree of uniformity, and I think red legs are very appropriate for the Corries, if you want to make a distinction between army dudes and navy guys, I'll say red legs for army and tan legs for navy. Well, it's simple, generally we use the bluecoats from the last pirates sets, blue torso and white legs.

Funny story and nice microbuild.

[COR WTC] WTC Shipyards, Mesabi Landing

Excellent build and nice photos, my favourite is the first one, with the redcoats marching by. The crane is very well built, so does the gunboat, and the support, the pillar thingy is cleverly built. -
Oleon's Index of Recurring Characters
Bodi replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Chef d'escadre Thierry Lagaufre: Loyal servant of King of Oleon, Thierry Lagaufre's family fought for the glory and honor of the royal house for generations. Like all the warriors and knights of the region, he practices cold steel combat skills since his childhood, then, he joined the Corps des mousquetoires du Roi, he learned how to use flintlocks. Years of exercices granted him a formidable physical strength, thus he prefers use blunt weapons and axes in combat. No need to say that all these activities took a lot of time, leaving him very little opportunities to learn something else, for example, reading, so he is practically illeterate. After half of his life spent in the army, he found a wife, got children, and eventually retired from the active service. He returned to his homeland, hoping to savour the warmness of family life. Now, hearing the call of the King to explore the New Terra, he decided to offer once again his service to his majesty. Le Duc d'Ablette: Secrétaire d’État des Colonies, Grand Officier de l’Ordre Royal de Saint-Arltrees. Descending from a long line of belligerent lords, the Duc d'Ablette fought bravely for the crown in many battles, earning esteem and the support of his troops. However, he knew nothing of and was uninterested in politics, making the Crown reluctant to offer him any post in the Court. But with the sudden departure of certain Oleon leader, he was highest ranking aristocrat available to serve in their absence. Maître Romain: Mayor of Eltina, he was a veteran mousquetaire and professionnal fencer, he lost a leg during the Juniper War. Due to this disability, he was forced to give up fencing, nevertheless, he managed to stay in the army, while subsidizing on half pay, bur his luck changed recently, when his old friend, Thierry Lagaufre recommended him to Duke de Beauregard for a post in Eltina. Oliver: Olivier has held the post of military advisor in Oleander Embassy in Mardier, he was appointed as aide de camp of Hollande for his diplomatic background, he was lastly seen at Westface. -
Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
Bodi replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@merc Hello, M. de Roseabeau is the director of royal shipyards of Breschaun and a character of Kolonialbeamter, unfortunately we haven't seen him for a while, still, Captain Genaro and me are there to help you and answer your questions. -
Nice ship, Bart! I like her curve and stern decoration, black and white look good too and I like how you've made the waves as well.

Nice build! You managed to create a luxurious look with all these gold ornaments on the furniture and windows, nice minifig posing too. -
I like the mining scene, and the idea of hidden cave, looks like they'll soon break the secret of legendary treasure.

So this is to present a new character of mine, le Duc d'Ablette (Duke of Bleak), Secrétaire d’État des Colonies, Grand Officier de l’Ordre Royal de Saint-Arltrees. -

Great writing, it was an amuzing read, except the paragraph on our newly founded arsenal, which I prefer not to comment. -

Congratz to the appointment! Neat build by the way, and I second Bart, more greenery would be better. -
[OL FB] Reaching King's Harbour
Bodi replied to Captain Genaro's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I'm as confused as commander Genaro (or major Genaro?) about the intention of these Corlanders. It's quite uncommon for a Corrie governor to enter in contact with an Olly officer. Great build! The terrain, the building and the machinery are very well built, and nice photography too. -
An interesting ship, chubby looking ship . Tthe stern is quite original and I kind of like the red white colour scheme, though it looks a bit tall for its length, don't send it in high sea then.

You came up a nice dock scene with an amusing story, Bart.
-
Nice factory, a colorful building as it should be. And the rocky base looks great!
-
It's great to see so many characters reunited under a same roof. The ball room, the library and the garden are very well built, and you did a wonderful job posing all these minifigs.

Amazing build, CG! Great writing as well. There are so much to like, such as the fully tiled floor, and arches and the stone wall behind the arches as Kai mentioned. Nice minifig posing too.- 16 replies

[SR - AMRCA - Doctor Thaum] The hunt for Red Oktober

Great moc! I like the wreck lying on seabed, surrounded by all sorts of algae and seaplants, the diving bell is very well built as well! -
[OL - February MRCA Build] The capture of Gregory Decker
Bodi replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you Capt Wolf! Now you know what does captain Decker look like, can you spot him from this row of captains? CG is working on the second part of the story. Thank you Drunknok! As for the continuation, we are working on. Thank you BD! You know my English is quite poor and I struggle more in writing than building, so I'm glad you enjoyed the story. -
[OL - February MRCA Build] The capture of Gregory Decker
Bodi replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you Garm! I noticed practically all schooners had raked masts, so I thought I had to the masts that way. Merci Thaum! Oui, il a perdu ses mats, mais le pire c'est que maintenant je dois refaire le cordage. Thank you Bart, glad you like the boat. For the twodecker, a custom hull should have worked better, prefabs are too narrow for a ship of this size, but for a debutant shipbuilder like me, they were easier and quicker to build. And don't worry for that mister Decker, he's in our prison now, and you'll see the second part of the story soon. Thank you Blackbird! Have you noticed the slope parts on the sides? Thank you mate! Glad you like my boats!
