  1. I was talking about building the bow only with the lower part of the prefab, like Imperial Shipyards did with his nextgen ships. Ofc you can also build your own hull, there are many examples in the Shipwright guild post.
  2. @Elostirion The headrails, the fully tiled deck and the colour scheme are perfect. The stern, though unfinished, looks very promising, and the Oleon flag is a big plus. The only part I'm not quite sure is the midship part, usually it's the widest part of a ship, now it seems that your bow is wider. There are several ways to widen the hull, with jumper and plates, or with hinges, like I did here. But judging the current progress, I think it's hard for you to widen the hull now, because if you do, you'll have to torn apart practically the whole ship and re-start building from the prefab sections. So if I were you I'll leave it as it is.
  3. Nice gunboats, I prefer the one with mast and sail.
  4. It's a beautiful ship, blue brown and gold work well together. I especially like the bow and stern decoration. And I'd like to suggest you extend the concave part more towards the bow, I think you'll have better lateral curve by so doing.
  5. @Fraunces Maybe you could consider to get rid of the upper part of the prefap bow and stern, and to shape the bow with hinge plates. A lower hull could make you ship appear longer.than she really is.
  6. Thanks Bregir! i have a dozen of shrouds that I don't know what to do with, so I had to find a way to use them, and you'll see me bending them even further in the future, oh, the next time I'll use white part to build the hull. The gun mounting was some sort of compromise, the hull is actually quite narrow, it would take too more place if I position the gun carriage any lower. And claiming gunboat as a Corlander innovation is pure propaganda!
  7. I like the story, and the ship. Nice photos too. My favourite one is the pic showing the guy shooting from the hatch.
  8. Well executed rockwork! The statue looks good too, indeed very modest.
  9. Still not departed! I anticipate an article on the abuse of hospitality in the upcoming WTC monthly. Nice build btw.
  10. Nice build! The broken window made from transparent parts looks quite good.
  11. Here's a band of proud redcoats, I like the idea of veterans marching down the street. The tavern looks nice too.
  12. Thank you LM! As I said above, the shrouds may not be the ideal material for shipbuilding, though it may be a substitute to the flex tubes.
  13. Glad you like it! The trans-clear plates turn out to be quite handy to create water effect. Thanks Bart! The hull's shape was achieved with prefab shrouds, they are more rigid than flex tubes and harder to bend too. The gun was just a stud-shooter. Hmmm, we should not pour cold water on their enthusiasm, just get them occupied. Yes, it's a stud shooter. It will likely to be stationed at Fatu Hiva, and they are very eager to put their firing skill into practice.
  14. Thanks Capt Wolf! You are welcome Captain G. We can consider the black cloaks as the ancestors of intelligence agents. Thanks LM, glad you like it.
  15. A nicely built interior scene, and entertaining story too.
  16. The terrifying news of Oleander soldiers murdered by mysterious aggressors has spread among settlers, the locals thought it was time to act. Here we have a handful of brave gents, who have outfitted a old fishing boat as a gunboat. Class 1 gunboat: Range : 2 Maneuvre: 3 Firepower: 1 Crew: 1 Cargo:0 Hull: 2
  17. Here's a build to sistership the Licorne: At the Eltina Shipyards, a man in a black cloak approached a ship under construction, and asked for the chief engineer. A worker told him that the engineer was on the deck and reminded him to be careful, the chief was not in good mood, apparently, there was a delay in the schedule. "Don't worry, he'll be cheered when he sees what I'm going to show to him." said the black cloak. -"Monsieur, I know you and you men are already very busy, but this is a priority. You should have heard that the RNTC has lost a ship recently, the Licorne. She was quite special, since that ship wasn't built by one of our shipyards, mind you. Here are the drawings, remember, don't tell the origin of these drawings to anyone." said the black cloak. The engineer took the drawings and thumbed through a couple of pages. "Amazing, the original drawings of a Garveyan frigate, not as good as ours, but there're still some highlights in the design, where did you get this? " -"Well, let' say the Order has eyes everywhere and has very deep pocket." Answered the black cloak with a grin.
  18. That's a very good looking bow, I like all these gold ornament.
  19. I like the food stand, a good place to start an investigation. The palm leaves fit well to this tropical themed build.
  20. Very good build! Fascinating story too. I like the stair on the second picture.
  21. Nice job LM, impressive ship, the Corries Navy finally got a ship that is compatible to its reputation.
  22. Interesting build, I like the dock, and the ships, they are very well built, but my favourite is the Terraman, its shape looks really good. What's the cylindric thing at the end of the quay? To: Rear Admiral Fletcher and Captain Cooke Dear Sirs: Concerning your ships held at Oleander port, they were being held only because of tax payment issues, and our tax apply to every nation, we haven't specifically targeted Corindon ships. If you wish to find an alternative to the tax, we are also open to parley. Duc d'Ablette
  23. A mini-bastion, it looks impregnable, with its thick walls and powerfull armament. Nice minifig posing too.
  24. Very good build, that's a faithful representation of oriental architecture,Japanese architecture to be precise. I like the roof, the wall, the cherry trees and the small bridge.
