Most of my thoughts exactly!! I don't know what I'd do with the street cleaner, as I alrady have the yellow one and I like it. As for the tram, my City isn't set up for a tram at all, so it would either be broken up or sold.I don't think we'll see it in Australia for quite a while. If it ever arrives here, I'll probably wait until sales time.

I'm with you d00dz! Also, the Wrestler might be nice. -
I love the strobe on the back and the HF antenna. I've always wondered how to do a rear strobe like that. I think the saddle back are a little out of proportion but I love where you're going with them. Bit keen with the arm patches Nice work overall.

Getting back to the 10197 sub-theme I picked one up from Knox City TRU for the standard price yesterday. So, if you're in Melbourne and waiting for this set, make phoning them or dropping in in-person your priority today!! (There's none left at Knox City - I got the last one). -
I agree fully with this. Having said that, the Construction Site is awesome as well. I had it set up for a week just by itself on my table, as it made a fantastic scene. You get some great vehicles (although the semi's trailer could have been better desigened to allow the digger to drive on and off) and a simple building that can be MOD'd to your hearts desire. Get both for sure! You won't regret it. (Although your wallet might!!)

I like this little ride-on. It would look good in my City Council vehicle fleet! I like the tipping trailer as well. Great job!
-
I second these thoughts. Your local government has been very kind to its Police Force, that limo is an awesome ride for your Commish, while that chopper has it all going on!!!
-
Mate, that looks fantastic! I've seen picures of your Embassy before, so I'm glad its on your layout! I love the streetscape in front of your rail yard, very envious of some of those buildings!! I like the construction crane on your new building, that's a nice touch. Well done and keep going!!

I second this idea. This sounds great!!

Thanks for the reply cagri. I appreciate it. I'll just have to hope and keep an eye out...

Thanks for the link Siegfried! I checked and the closest one would be Maitland, over two hours away. I might give them a ring..

I did a quick bit of research and you only have to placard the truck (in Australia, specifically QLD) if it's more than 50L. I think, however an excavator would take more than 50L of diesel. I love what you've done to the truck and excavator though. They both look great!

I haven't seen a Toyworld in Australia for a long, long time. I don't know if they're still operating here.

Ricecracker, this is simply a beautiful work of art!! I love the hand tools that you've included on the Pump and the fact they all fit into the lockers and the lockers work; amazing!! I also love the turn-out pants, very good!! Although it makes the arms on the figs a little short. What school subject did this project get submitted for? At any rate, I hope you got an A++ for it!! Well done!

Dear Ambassadors, nex time you are conversing with TLG, could you please ask them if they intend to sell set 10199 - Winter Toy Shop - in Australia this year? I would love to own a copy of this set, but I can't justify eBay or S@H prices. Thanks.
-
I love 10197 and voted for it as I'm a Fireman by trade, although I don't own one yet - TLG haven't got into gear in Oz with this set yet and I don't want to pay the ridiculous prices and S@H. I do own 10185 and love it; plenty of fantastic details inside and out and looks a treat next to the Cinema from Town Plan.

This is really nice!! I love the interior details. The seats in the lobby look great and the light projector in the conference room is a great touch. I also like the lift shaft; do the doors work? Great MOC georgivar!!
-
Excellent work Batbrick!! This is simply amazing! The details are superb and the playability is first-class, especially with the removable portions of the building, which is a great idea. Well done on a class act!! P.S. When are you going to pop-up at ANZFOL again? I haven't seen you there for a while..

Hi Willdog, welcome aboard!! My thoughts exactly!! It' a really nice building and will look great in your layout. It's a little different and will add a bit of choice and different flavours for your shopping strip. I also agree with this. Just change the dimensions slightly and I think it will add that individuality to this building. It is a unique subject and has great details. Well done!!

Well done TerranCmdr. This is a unique vehicle and you've captured it perfectly. This would look great in a layout as it's something different but part of everyday existance.

Hi sammyboy. Is your source at TLG reliable? I've been browsing DJ's at Parramatta for a little while now patiently waiting for 10197. I asked today and the store assistant suggested to ring the Sydney store. I rang them, got through to Toys and the lady on the other end said that she couldn't see it in her catalogue. I'm assuming she means the wholesaler's catalogue and not a retail one!! She did say that Atlantis stuff was in store. She also suggested to get Parramatta to try and order one in. If that's the csae I'll get it from the US S@H via a re-mailer. I sure hope it arrives, I've been waiting a while for it now.... -
Too true Svelte. My layout couldn't really accommodate a Transport Interchange, unless it was on the smaller size. If it includes a train, then for me, it and it's track would end up on eBay. I would keep everything else though!!
-
Well done Svelte!! I, like so many, love the roof. Not sure how you did it, but it looks pretty cool. The modular park is a good idea as well. Overall, fantastic job.

Hi kris kelvin!! This is a fantastic MOC!! I love the vehicles and the figs in particular, but overall it looks fantastic. Well done!!
