This review has confirmed to me that I would like to purchase this set, although I'm cringing at the AUD S@H price; AUD$90! I don't think that it's worth $90, especially with our dollar so high at the moment. I think I'll have to hang out for a sale. However, mifody if you get any more 2011 sets soon, please continue with your fantastic reviews!

My thanks as well to Prateek for the pictures. Unfortunately, my layout doesn't have the room for a waterfront so I won't be getting any of these sets. I like the fact that TLG is trying new ideas and they are great sets in their own right, just not for me.

Thanks for that. My local (Parramatta) has them listed on the pricing boards, but they don't stock any in the store. I've asked them to get a couple in, but I haven't seen any in there. I will admit, I'm not in there every week, so they may have stocked and sold them.

After reading through the various comments, I decided to check out S@H for the new stuff coming through. I really like the Bank set, but not for $AUD90!! Are Lego trying to put one over us in Oz? I know there's 405 pieces, but still, come on! I won't be getting it until its on sale.

Hi all!! Firstly, Merry Christmas!! Secondly, has anyone seen any Grand Emporium's in the Post Christmas sales? If so, how much are they going for? Reading the above emails, should I bother getting it at all in Oz, or would it be cheaper importing it? Thanks!

My thoughts: I'd love to see a Hospital. This would be a perfect addition to the Modular line, three floors to put plenty of details with enough roof space to include a helipad. A modular bank would also be very cool, but there's a bank already announced in the City line, so I think it would be unlikely. Time will tell though...

That's a fantastic bobcat lightningtiger! That really looks the part. I would love to see it on a road plate for scale. If this is the result on a lazy hour or so, then definately I'm a conformist!!!

Has anyone heard any mail about the TRU Public Transport set? I went into my local TRU (Parramatta) today to see if it was on sale. To my dismay, they're all sold out and the staff were highly doubtful that more were on the way prior to Christmas. Do you think that boat has sailed all together? I certainly hope not.

Picked up an Advent Calender today at Blacktown (NSW) Target. They also had eleven almost full boxes of S2 minifigs on the shelf.

Hi there leonardi! First up, welcome to Eurobricks!! Secondly, I was at Target at Castle Hill a little over a week ago and the girls there were putting three brand new boxes of S1 figs on the shelf. Maybe they still have some? Also, last time I was at TRU at Parramatta (about a week ago) they had a box of S1 figs at the checkouts.

There is an Aussie/NZ forum (ANZFOL) on the net (see my sig block) that has a minifig trade thread in it, you could post there if you want... (My 2c)

Got my S2 minifigs today!! Yay! Target at Parramatta had a few boxes, so I gladly pillaged them. Target also have 10% - 30% off selected Lego and the figs fell into this category. I picked them up for $3.37ea.

There's people on eBay selling the lists for $3 or $4, depending on where you buy. Everyone's trying to make a buck!! On another note, I found some S2 minifigs in my local Target today. I was only three figs though, apparently I missed the roll-out of seven boxes that happened on the weekend!! So, the moral is that Target in NSW should have stock of them, either on the shelves or out the back. Personally, I reckon Target are waiting for school holidays (this Saturday) to roll out their stocks of S2 figs. I asked at my nearest TRU (Parramatta) apparently they hadn't heard of S2, but they had a fresh box of S1 figs at the checkouts.

Hi BrettBrick. The Myer 1 card; that's their loyalty card, not their credit card? I signed up for their loyalty card today and the staff used my temp card in the transaction, but I didn't get the extra 10% off my purchases. I did get 20% off the train track service packs though, so I was happy!

Went looking for S2 minifigs at Target Castle Hill (NSW) today and they had just recieved another three unopened boxes of S1 figs instead. So, if anyone in the Parramatta area missed out, Castle Hill might be the place to go.

Breaking News!!!! Public Transport Station (8404) and TRU City Truck (7848) spotted at my local TRU (Parramatta) today. The Truck was $59.99 and Public Transport was $129.99. Plenty of stocks of both.

About the City Transport - I would add on at least 6 months onto the release date for it to appear in Oz. I had to wait that long for Fire Brigade, not to mention Winter Toy Shop that was released throughout the rest of the world just about a year ago and it hasn't even arrived here yet! I'm feeling your pain!! I'd love a City Transport as well. On the bright side, its so much sweeter opening something that you've waited a while for. I loved opening my Fire Brigade and I took my time to build it!

Not long after I emerged from my Dark Age, this set caught my eye, especially as it has flashing lights and a siren!! I thought I could update the original design and build it in yellow to match 7891. Little did I know at the time, it would be an expensive undertaking!! Oh well! Over time I managed to combine Bricklink orders for different stuff to make it a little cheaper and at the end of the day, I love the results! Enjoy! Light bar working. The Shift vehicles together. Now I just have to build a Station and Airport for them.... Finally, a picture of the original set. Comments welcome.
