Thanks for the link Masterbricker321! I love the concept, pity it's so small!! Mine will be heavily modded with extra rooms and probably a bigger vehicle bay when I get it. As for the other sets, I quite like them too, but i think I might settle just for the set with the bobcat in it.

It's not really a sale, but if anyone in the Sydney area wanted a copy of City Corner, I found one lonely-looking set at Blacktown Big-W today. The box corners looked a little worn, but it was intact, no structural damage. It scanned for $87, which I thought was a little steep for an older set. If it was a bit cheaper, I might've got me a second copy of it.

Just had a look at the pictures. I'm loving that set with the dirt bikes, that looks a winner! I'll definately be getting the tip truck, that's one set that's been sorely missed with my work crew. I think that I might end up rebuilding it out of yellow bricks, as all my construction vehicles are yellow (except for the concrete truck). Originally, I didn't think much about the "Friends" theme, although the cafe might find its way into my lay-out. The jury's also still out on the new Ambulance; I think I might wait for a review before I make a final decision. Would really love a Hospital....

I whole-heartedly agree with the above comments. Whatever we get has to be big. A modular hospital would be awesome, you could fit tonnes of details both interior and exterior into a modular. Play-wise, a large set like a Police Station would be cool too (and a bit cheaper!! ), as long as the garage is big enough to let the current City Ambulance pass through.

That's a rather cool and interesting concept. I like it!!!

Went cruising through Myer at Parramatta today. There were six Tower Bridges, two Imperial Flagships and Millennium Falcons, three Republic Frigates, plus all of the other usual suspects from Star Wars, City, Cars 2 and Technic. (Bring on the K-Mart sale for the Bank!! )

Hi there Fuzzylegobricks. Thanks for your review of this set, its nice to hear your opinion about it. I had trouble with your poll though - the price is horrendous in Australia (when we will eventually get it) at AU $269, I ordered one from the States via Bricklink. So for this question, I had to say "no". As for my favourite; I only own two others and I'm a firefighter! However, I had to go with Green Grocer as it's such a fantastic set. Pet Shop is pretty close (right behind Fire Brigade! ), there are many cool details within the set and I like how it's two mini-sets, so you can position the buildings where-ever you like in your layout.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my City badly needs some healthcare and a system to send/recieve snail-mail and parcels! I would love TLG to produce a Hospital and a Post Office. I think that a Hospital would look fine in the grandeur of a modular-type building, but I think the best-looking Hospital was 6380. Maybe this could be updated? A Post Office would also look fantastic as a modular, but I'd be just as happy having a "City" styled Post Office, as long as there was some parking for 7733 and 7731 to offload / onload parcels and mail. This building could also bring back the mail sidecar from the 80's to deliver the mail! How cool would that be?!

Hi all. I've gotten into Nerf recently by buying a Barricade blaster. I was surfing the net the other day for all things Nerf and came across their Pinpoint Sight. I would love to do this to my Barricade, I already have the butt from a Recon blaster. The problem is, these sights are out of production and there are none forthcoming on ebay. So, if anyone out there has one and they don't want it anymore, I would love to buy it from you.

I really like it! This really looks the part, in particular the minifigs. I also really like the garage setting. Well done!

I too did not know Dieter, nor did I pass through the Pirates forum at all. However, a death within any community, such as ours, is a sad event. Dieter's age makes it all the more tragic and hard hitting. Target at Blacktown (NSW) had 4.5 boxes of figs on the shelf yesterday. I picked up 7 (doubled up on the snowboarder) using the dot code. Some of the oters were very hard to pick. Pity they're expensive, my wife would've bought another three or four on impulse if they had been cheaper. Oh well!!
