  1. Any 1.55" scale tires should work well. From there, it depends on which tread pattern you like most.
  2. Would be very cool to make this into a small dongle that you could plug into your phone. Then write an app for it and bam, you have a Kickstarter-worthy project!
  3. Wow! Looks amazing, especially considering its size
  4. Is it just me, or is that a 9L half beam? EDIT: My eyes are getting old...it's not.
  5. Suspension and drivetrain are complete, wheels are mounted, motors are connected, and... UEV - WIP 3 by VKTechnic, on Flickr ...there's clicking everywhere. These longitudinal diffs seem to be creating more problems than they're solving, so I might just ditch the LSDs and locking mechanisms and make this model special in some other way.
  6. But now, gearboxes are gonna get bigger...
  7. Ah, okay. It seemed to me that the XL motor was there to simulate the final ride height.
  8. Looking good Although that caster angle on the front axle will make handling a bit weird
  9. I think the main thing you can do to improve snow traction is get some proper tires (read: third party). LEGO tires behave about as well as plastic tires on snow
  10. Finally an update! UEV - WIP 2 by VKTechnic, on Flickr Turns out the first design was 4 studs too narrow, so I've spent the last few days building new axles. Features are still the same: Independent suspension, limited slip diffs, diff locks, different length control arms, and caster angle on the front axle. Oh, and no one has the right name yet. Keep guessing!
  11. I love the color scheme on this! Good work overall!
  12. This is why I don't enter competitions Awesome model, can't tell that it's a C-model just looking at the photo
  13. That's quite the project you have there!
  14. Nope Even if it's there, it's not intentional.
  15. Time for a new project! I've been wanting to use the 42000 hubs for a while, so it's time for an independently suspended car. UEV - WIP 1 by VKTechnic, on Flickr Already have AWD with 3 limited slip locking diffs and a fake V8 engine, as well as full independent suspension with shorter top control arms and caster angle up front. Any guesses as to what UEV stands for?
  16. Sounds like you're part of TLG's mini-NSA.
  17. We'd also have people like Blakbird who own everything
  18. Saw the video yesterday, love all the functions Also love how smoothly the pneumatics and PF functions mix together.
  19. Gear ratios are: 1st: 2.5:1 2nd: 1.5625:1 3rd: 1:1 R: 4.167:1 The gear position is also pretty interesting: 3 2 | -- | 1 R
  20. Thanks So what are your plans for this gearbox? Do you have a model planned that this will be used in, or is it just a concept?
  21. The rear does look much better now Two things though: The 5L thin liftarms in the back are technically a forced connection (the geometry is off by 0.4 studs). Thus, I can't model that part in LDD What are the black #1 connectors attached with? I'm assuming you're using 3L axles with studs... Finished updating what I could. Missing two 1.5L pins that secure the (forced) 5L thin liftarms. I also updated the link for the LDD file to just be the folder where the LDD file is, hopefully that helps. Here's the new link.
  22. Looks nice, a lot less complicated than the Pajero gearbox Can we get a CAD file or some detailed pictures/schematics? I would love to build this and test it out!
