  1. Teaser number 4: No springs attached Maybe I've shown too much...
  2. Teasers are a daily thing now It's doing its job. :)
  3. You sure it's perfect?
  4. Time for another teaser! Warning! Some viewers may find the following picture disheartening
  5. I'll upload the final photos after I come back from BrickCon. I'll keep posting teasers until then
  6. Correction: The suspension isn't independent, since the left wheels are dependent on the right ones (they are rigidly linked). Aside from that, nice model! I kinda agree with Rishab though, the bodywork could be smoother.
  7. You can buy them online, just search for Axial Ripsaw 1.9 tires.
  8. Good start! I've been meaning to build an LFA of my own, but never got around to it. Glad someone's doing it I don't know how well this will work, but you might want to use a pulley wheel (part 4185) to mount the exhaust pipes. They will be much closer together then
  9. Finally got around to finishing the model! I won't be making a video for this as there are only 25 days until BrickCon, and I need to get working on my second model. (The Mustang is the model I'm already bringing.) Meanwhile, you can find more photos of the 6x6 here.
  10. A lot of the larger Technic sets that do make the mark are often quite complicated, and also include many PF elements. It would take a lot of time for TLG to make sure these models will be suitable for most people to buy and, more importantly, enjoy.
  11. I recognize those tires (and also the Traxxas ESC)
  12. These PF wires are always the perfect length! I always leave room for a receiver/battery box. I've never ever cut pneumatic tubing. My motorized models never have visible wires! I can totally make a 9-wide independent suspension with drive, steering, and accurate suspension geometry! I wish I had more System bricks... Someday, I'll make a model with all these rubber band holders...
  13. The tires are Axial Ripsaw 1.9 tires. 109mm outer diameter. These tires are so sticky that I often find LEGO bricks stuck to them when I move the model from my desk.
  14. Progress is slow, but it's there. Only a few days left until school starts again, and a little over a month until BrickCon (and I still have to make a model for that). Meanwhile, the cab is coming along nicely. There won't be an interior because of the gearbox and electronics (5 motors, 2 switches, 2 receivers, and 2 gearboxes, plus 3 pairs of lights). However, all four doors open, and so does the hood. Also, you can see the maximum steering lock in this picture.
  15. I used to use this all the time, good luck on getting the support!
  16. Yes, the rear axle is steered. Nope, both LA's are manually controlled. The winch, however, is motorized.
  17. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I have made a few changes: There is no $100 goal: as soon as you donate, you will receive the LDD file. I'm lowering the "price" of the LDD file to $1.00. The reason I had it at $5.00 earlier was to keep track of donors (GoFundMe's minimum donation amount for a "Reward Level" is $5.00). I will also be making a small PDF document with some tips for building the model. For example, there are a few parts missing from the model, as well as some temporary parts. The PDF will be e-mailed with the LDD file to those who donate. Thanks again for your thoughts.
  18. Finally a build update! The rear end is basically done, just a few minor details left. I rebuilt the rear chassis entirely, lowered the rear bed, added a rear bumper (with lights!), and installed the towing arm. I've also been doing occasional test drives, and it drives wonderfullly. Steering could use a little reinforcement though...
  19. Hey all! I've had a few requests for an LDD file/instructions for this model, so I went ahead and started a personal GoFundMe page. There, you can donate $5 (which will be used for LEGO-related purchases), and once $100 are donated, I will e-mail the LDD file to all who donated. If y'all are interested, head on over!
  20. After combining votes from my Facebook page, Flickr, and Eurobricks (oh, and my own vote, of course), the Rescue Arm is the final build. I've started working on the "deck" around it, and as you can tell, it's much too high. This calls for a chassis redesign... >.<
