Thanks. Love how you've done the display cases

I love that inclusion. I guess Nova's trying to portray this hardcore gamer image, but secretly has cutesy interests she tries to hide. I can relate, my doll collection lives hidden away under my bed because I don't want the guys I hook up with to judge me when I have them over. I'd hide my Lego too, but there's way too much of it everywhere in my apartment. While I'm aware there's nothing wrong with an adult collecting Lego and dolls; and I'd never judge anyone for their interests, I usually wait until I know someone before I'm super open about it since people in general tend to be judgemental and intolerant way more than supportive and non-critical. I mean, just look at how AFOLS treat each other

Just realised that the Legend of Zelda/Lego Dreamzzz/Lego Elves/Possible Easter egg for a new Lego theme/possibly just a franchise in the new Friends universe that doesn't refer to anything else artwork seen on a couple of the stickers in set 41740 Aliya's Room also appears in set 41755 Nova's Room.

Duckbricks was using the closing credits theme from Monkie Kid in his set reviews before he became a member of the LAN. Could he have recorded the music from an episode maybe? It's legal to do that as long as you credit whoever holds ownership of the music isn't it? I'm not totally sure. I get the impression that Chris at Duckbricks reads and often answers comments on his videos, so you could ask him directly that way.

You know you can add connections wherever you want in these kind of builds, they seem pretty easy to modify as necessary

The impression I get from his videos is that he lives with his parents and they've given him the full basement of the house for his collection, which seems to consist of everything Lego ever releases. I think not having to run his own household helps him to have the disposable income to buy every set and to travel to all kinds of specialised Lego retailers around the world.

Yeah, it screams Nexo Knights to me

THIS!

It's a cool figure, but I'm not buying the book at that price just to get it when it'll likely appear in a set eventually, probably with a bug for the alternative form

Yeah, we live in a society where everyone identifies as a Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff etc. I'm like "Um no; you're 45 years old, nobody believes you're a school child"

Zhu Bajie and Bull Demon King just arrived. I was hoping Zhu Bajie's hat would be removable so I could put it on the 2023 Pigsy when I get him, but it's moulded to the head. I'm still pretty happy with them though, the drum lacquered looking parts seem like Lego quality and their arms are on mini Mixels style ball joints so their arms are more poseable than your average Lego minifig. I might order Tripitaka/Tang Sanzang, Sha Wujing and Wukong.

Just found yet another alternate free minifig. Is this one of the Nyas from the Ninjago Movie? Also, I don't think it shows very well in the image below of all my December Ninjago Magazine minifigs so far, but the Vengestone Guard in the top left has a black lightsaber hilt; all the rest have gunmetal grey.

I once had it explained to me that apparently one reason why so many action shows, cartoons and anime series are based around school children, is because the experience of attending school is almost universally relatable in parts of the world where people watch TV. Not everyone will have similar careers and family experiences, but most people have attended school.

I add the vitriolic, opinionated cowards who like to be offensive anonymously online from the safety of their parents basements to my ignore list on this forum site all the time so I don't have to see their posts. That's the problem when you're part of any toy-related fandom, the majority of fans are extremely childish and need to have their way over everything or they lose their minds. You get the immature tantrum throwing Man-Children constantly crawling out from underneath their rocks to be bratty and vindictive. It's so much better when you block them and only have to deal with positive, mature people that can have a civil, adult discussion/debate

It feels like it's getting increasingly harder to find an adventure themed franchise that doesn't have teenage protagonists. apparently you can't save the world if you're 20 or older

Until they turn 100 years old.

Tommy Andreason who worked on the first 16 seasons of Ninjago has moved onto a new Lego show for a new Lego theme apparently. Could it be Dreamzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz? Sorry for exposing you to Tannerfishface

I mean, they're both delivery bikes with the same colour scheme. They both have Pigsy's Noodles takeout boxes on the back

Unpopular opinion: The golden age of Lego Space and Castle that AFOLS wish Lego would bring back was nowhere near as good as modern vehicle and castle themes like Chima, Nexo Knights, Ninjago, Monkie Kid, Lightyear etc. The older builds were much more blocky and unsophisticated compared to what's possible with modern Lego. We don't need to demand that Lego restores these themes to satisfy our nostalgia when the CMFs, Special Themes and Bricklink have Black Falcons, Classic Spacemen, Forestmen, Lion Knights etc

Just realised that the black flame piece on the Azure Lion's sword hilt is likely what we'll see in the upcoming Hocus Pocus Ideas set
-
I just noticed that the black flame that'll likely feature in the upcoming Hocus pocus Lego Ideas set has appeared in set 80045 the 2023 Lego Monkie Kid; Monkey King Ultra Mech

The Yellow Tusk Elephant looks different enough from Ganesh for Lego to not get hit with a lawsuit right? I mean he doesn't have a missing tusk. I remember when MIMP had to withdraw an elephant headed toy, but they did call that one Ganesha so hopefully because MK's elephant isn't claiming to be Ganesh/Ganesha, there's no grounds for complaint? https://monsterinmypocket.fandom.com/wiki/Ganesha#:~:text=Ganesha is monster %2362 from, origin in Indian religious views.
