Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Killian replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just thinking... Do you think Lego made the new Otter piece in the 2023 Lego City sets to be the "before" version of the anthropomorphic female Otter in the Guardians trailer? Then just decided to use the piece in City in addition? -
I bought 2 to have more than 1 Crystal Spider

Have you supported The Owl House set on Lego Ideas? -
Yeah. Lego seems to have forgotten that Lego is a Knock-Off brand itself https://www.inverso.pt/legos/clones/texts/kiddicraft.htm

But then you wouldn't have to buy set 60358, and Lego would get less money -

Maybe some sort of High Evolutionary genetics lab? Or some base for Kang? Kang is in this movie right? -
It's been repurposed in set 80111 with new printing, so it's still in use at least for Lunar New Year 2023

Yep. And you answered it way more comprehensively than I would have, I'd forgotten about Carter. I'm still disappointed that we never got Dr Alvah, Ricky or Joey in minidoll form. I think the only villain we got was Vicky? I hope we get a unique hairpiece with a hearing aid eventually. Maybe one for each "gender"

Love when people like this exercise their need to be unpleasant without doing any research -
I remember reading or maybe seeing something on youtube saying bigfigs were cancelled. Can't find anything official on an internet search though. I assume it's part of Lego's cost cutting measures to give us less plastic for our money

I take it you've never watched the show then

Maybe Lego got sick of minifig purists hating on minidolls and were like "Ok, you want your figs small! So no more bigfigs!" -
The Ink Demons from the 2023 wave match the colour scheme of this. I'm totally speculating about if they come from the scroll or if MK and chums are magically going into the scroll somehow?

There seems to be a trend of using brick built bodies for bigger characters recently when we probably would have just got a bigfig in the past. Most fans I've seen discuss it on video reviews etc. theorise that the Green Goblin's "mech" in set 76219 is supposed to represent a bigger organic body, with the way the mech kind of continues his hat down his back. I prefer getting minifig versions of big characters like we're getting with Thanos/Hulk/Sandy nowadays, rather than bigfigs that can't even fit into most buildings/vehicles in most sets. It saves on space and increases playability, so I like the idea of no bigfigs going forward; but I know a lot of collectors like them for some reason. All (or most of?) the MCUs big characters already got big figs, so they're easily obtained on Bricklink etc. Does Lego have any platform for interacting with AFOLS where they address consumer questions? It'd be good to have a definitive answer to whether bigfigs are dead. -
Remember Trevor and Joshua, the gay couple with their daughter Maya in set 41704? I feel like Lego are going for diversity and inclusion again with set 41732. Two women, Adi and Aida, seem to be buying furniture to move in together in the picture on the back of the box. Perhaps the twin children in the set are theirs too? They could even be Liann's mothers, like they adopted Liann and the twins; Victoria and Peter? I know it's not as implied as Trevor and Joshua were, but I like to think Lego are giving us another possible rainbow family

It was in all Lego stores in this country for the first wave or 2. Now it's only in Lego stores here in cities that have a Chinatown neighbourhood and a sizeable Chinese population. I bought both my City of Lanterns sets in Manchester's Lego Store on separate occasions over the last 3-4 months.

We got a Disney Racoon in set 41142 and a Friends racoon in sets 41712, 41679 and 41681.... Why have we not got a Pocahontas set with Meeko? -
If Lego are recolouring the Disney's Frozen Lizard for Friends, I wonder why they didn't recolour the Disney Racoon from set 41142 when they introduced Racoons into the Friends theme?

The Ghost Rider mech should have also included a Blackheart minifig, or even Mephisto. Also.. Still no Young Avengers when Lego is trying to celebrate diversity nowadays. Boo! -
Someone trying to beat a dog to death with a wrench to add it's skull to her skull collection is something I never expected from Lego Friends. Chima may no longer be Lego's most Metal theme anymore.
