  1. Nice job on the list stands. The inverted jumper plates look good. The audience is well built with some lesser known parts here and there that really look nice. The pauper's crowd is hilarious with all the action, like the guy on the ground and pouring flaming oil down. Well done!
  2. Fantastic work. Lot of little details packed into one small build here! The color scheme is very coordinated, and the amount of special pieces in here that work in concert is rather amazing. You have a real knack for finding mini parts that work together well. I like how the cart is angled to the border as well.
  3. Nice! I like all the little details in the snow and the use of the SW heads. The white hair and yeti heads are NPU as well. I like the nice little story to go along with the build too!
  4. Holy cow. This is an amazing shot. I want to walk through it. Kudos to you for building the mountains and castle in Lego in the background. The meandering street path gives the town a sense of being large, and the flags hanging across the street not only are realistic but provide a sense of depth as well. The street is a perfect mix of studs, tiles, and colors, and your snot plating on the left hand building is fantastic. The half pressed down tiles on the roof on the main building look great. You posed the minis perfectly for this scene, from the guard to the running children. You also make a nice use of the cloth pieces for awnings. You have a real gift for photography, as I remember several of your other builds, and this is no exception. There's a ton of little details in here I could stare at for hours. I assume this was a set piece for a convention and there are no interiors? In any case, it's great. Thank you for sharing!
  5. Wow. This build is awesome! When I read the title, I didn't know if the fortress was going to be teal or the river was. Makes more sense that the river is. I'm usually not a big fan of solid colored water, but you did a good job with it here. I think it would be really interesting to see if TLG could make a transparent teal... The amount of dark brown is spectacular and makes a great juxtaposition with the lime green around the edge. The landscaping is very well done. I really like the castle. In addition to the sand green plates and the occasional brick sticking out slightly to roughen the walls, I appreciate that you built the castle without any large windows on the ground level. That usually sticks out to me as an error if people build that way, but your castle is strategically sound, which makes it look all the more authentic. The low sloped roof also helps with the realism. Does the castle have an interior? Great to see you building again!
  6. Fun! I love how lifelike you make the figs, especially with their facial expressions and objects, like the fire-breather. The stilts guy is awesome!
  7. Well done! I like the build a lot. The gold accents are great, and as someone else mentioned, the angle to the building helps the organic feel. The idea of the hot springs for the hotel is nice, and I like the low-slung orange foliage. I'm curious why there are pentagonal stone pavers on the sidewalk and the roof, although I assume that was an intentional choice? The tudor framing looks good, as does the roofline. The round 2x2 pieces are an interesting choice for a roof, but it works as the accent over the awning. I particularly like the studs out shutters for some reason. Nice work!
  8. Cool! I love the hair on the knight. I would not have expected that to work so well!
  9. Very clever designs. Always loved the stackable fire pieces. I like the red character with poison ivy hair the best, although the black figure gives me ideas for some drow figs... Nice work!
  10. Nice work! There's some interesting figures here... I'll be interested to see how it all shakes out in the power structure.
  11. Interesting use of the half round pieces! It looks really good, and I like the non-square windmill. The yellow sleeved shirt looks great, and the roof on the mill is awesome, especially with the chicken. Look forward to more builds!
  12. Hilarious play on words! I like the idea of beast-humans as figs. You do a great job incorporating the unusual parts into your build. The yeti in shorts is hilarious!
  13. I like the dome structure. I assume it's free floating on the SNOT base? The base looks good like that too. Seems like a lot of angle work to make the roof look round! I'd be interested to see the inside of the dome too, since it's a bit dark, but I suppose you wanted it that way for the story. The colors are great, and you use the leaf pieces to great fall effect!
  14. Awesome set of figs! Love the Chronicles storyline, and it's great to see the figs and stories. As usual, your figs can't be beat. I love looking at your parts usage to get ideas for my own and then to figure out what torsos and hairpieces I still need to buy!
  15. Thank you. The build was exhausting! Thanks! I was hoping everyone would enjoy!
  16. Very nice work. I really like the attention to detail, in the little things like brick built doorway arches, and the many plates used to show peeling plaster exposing the darker brick beneath. You accomplish quite a bit with very little here. I realize this is evening, but I would like to see a fully lit picture of this, maybe in the spoilers, so I can appreciate the detail that is somewhat lost in the shadows. For effect, this does look like evening, which is nice. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to get more at eye level of the figures when taking pics. The pic with the mounted fig looks a tad out of proportion, like the horse is too big, due to the angle of the pic. Overall, this is a really great build, and captures Varlyrio very well. Nice job!
  17. I assume this is a re-spelling of Di Carlo? The lighting in the first picture is really good. It helps the glitter bricks look more normal. I think if you had it in full light it would look gaudy. The giant tiger is pretty awesome in the second pic, and looks good with @Kai NRG's tower. As for the story, I've read the entire thing all the way through three times and can't really follow it. The TL;DR is that the Rego is dead, but I'm missing a lot of the fine details. A summary of the story might help in the Varlyrio thread at some point.
  18. Wow, this is great! It's a shame you didn't get more feedback on this. The gondola scene is well done: just the right amount of work to convey the scene, which is shrouded in darkness. As for the tower, it's fantastic. With only three colors, you have captured a very specific, middle-eastern style architecture, which is what I assume you were aiming for by the name of the building. The detail using the masonry bricks, as well as seamlessly incorporating the grille and turntable pieces into your build help illustrate the architecture. How did you achieve the square snaking white line through the middle? I can't quite tell on my screen. The parts usage on the window frames is awesome, and also accentuates the architecture style. The base is also subtle but sophisticated, and looks very natural. Great work!
  19. Very nice! You managed to capture what I imagine when I think of the Kolgari quite well. The small details with the white arches and flora are well done. I also appreciate the smooth, octagonal stonework laid at the floor of the amulet stand. I think that it's hard to appreciate how difficult it is to work detail into small builds like this until you've tried it, and you've done a great job here. The stonework with the SNOT elements, particularly the incorporation of sloped wedges, is very nice. Great job, and I look forward to more of your work!
  20. Nice Varlyrian temple. It's very recognizable as Varlyrian from your choice of colors. I always wondered what I'd use those salmon colored candlesticks for, and you just showed us! I like the moziac floor on the 2nd level, and the detail from the massive amount of 2-by tiles on the roof is well done. The bell at the top is nice, and your gold accents, such as the sai in the window, for window frames, works well. I also like the size and proportion, showing what looks to be a stout build, multiple floors with interior. It looks like it could easily be used by a child as a playset, not just a facade or set piece, which is great. The detail from the tiled floors to the small garden boxes behind the priestess and Dan add a lot to the scene. It's great to see some veterans of the Guilds around here again!
  21. The microscale is awesome, and your transformation of it is great. I like how you left the story vague so no one really knows exactly what happened or went wrong. I appreciate how you linked previous episodes and builds so that the reader doesn't have to search and only need click. Well done!
  22. Finally starting to catch up on all these great builds... Magnus is great. I always wanted to put that Nexo visor on a normal colored knight, and it looks great! The badlands nomad is fantastic, with the color coordination and excellent use of pieces like the wand as a thin cane. Nice use of the more pirate-era clothing for a Varlryian mini in the art dealer. I think my favorite is the drow mage. The color coordination is great. I really like the overall homecoming feel. Nice work!
  23. Welcome! It's great to see a new member! I've been on hiatus while moving, but I'm going to try and get back into the forums here now that things have settled down for me. Love your sigfig! The choice of colors and the tousled hair fit your story well. Looking forward to seeing builds of Fort Eaglefall and Celestina's adventures!
  24. Lovely work! I like the retro-take on an already retro set, and the wolfpack is a very nice touch. The subtle color palette change is quite striking when viewed as a whole. Also really like the cypress tree. Nice job!
  25. Hey everyone, sorry I have not been around for a while. I wound up taking a new job and moving and am still trying to get settled. I'm only in temp housing and it may be this way for some months, or even a year, so I won't have access to bricks during this time. I'm hopeful that our new place will have a good Lego room, but until I can get into a permanent place, I will likely be mostly on the forums here. I will likely be sparsely on here until I can get everything unpacked, since I'm typing this sitting on the floor, but I wanted to stop in and let everyone know I'm still here!
