  1. If I didn't have kids... I would NOT like the show, but I have a little boy and it sure makes me enjoy the series. I'll always prefer movie based sets over side genres like Rebels, but it is nice to have the Ghost, AT-DP, etc. Although I guess the Ghost IS a movie set now...
  2. I'm very curious on the timing of both releases... the dates could get slid back. It seems like releasing BB8 with the rest of TLJ sets on Force Friday would be a possibility. Then they could release the MF around the same time tickets are going on sale or when the movie is released. Spaced correctly, there's possibly 3 months of gap. The downside... I can see a lot of non-Lego Star Wars collectors buying this MF (AF for stash - please don't ban me) and gobbling up the inventory. SW fans will be in "nostalgia collector" mode. Tried and true AFOLS could be struggling to get their hands on one...
  3. I sure hope they didn't strip the rocket itself down. I'm fine losing the pad, stand, minifigures, etc. But if the rocket itself is stripped out, it'll be hard to argue $120+ expense... Based on the scale analysis we did earlier in the thread, I think it should be just shy of 3 feet tall... Which is pretty big in my mind.
  4. Funny. I always hated the microfigures and swore I'd never buy a set that had them. But in this set i would actually PREFER them to regular minifigures. I'm getting pretty excited for this one!
  5. Stash. Thank you. If the interior is true, I will be highly interested and I think many others will be too. I passed on the original UCS for this very reason. Many others bought Ewok Village and Sandcrawler but passed on the "models" due to playability. Time will tell, but if it appeals to both collectors it will sell. My biggest concern is that Lego will produce only a limited quantity, which would be a big bummer for the whole community. Hopefully they don't go Nintendo on us and cater to the scalpers.
  6. I really like that one. When the 75055 came out, I ran to the store to get it too, but they were out and I settled with the AT-AT. I never got one in near me and it retired before I could get my hands on one. Glad I have the 6011 but I had hoped to have both (selfish me!)...
  7. Any of the countries that share the Alps. I've seen a lot of pictures, but I would love to see those mountains.
  8. First Round was Late May / Early June
  9. The nerd inside me had to figure out what scale we were really looking at... By taking your pictures and superimposing them into AutoCAD, then doing relative scaling based on a standard 8mm stud module, it looks like it's about 911mm or 36" tall! If the needle/tip ends up being the size it is in LEGO (because of the piece they had available to use), we would have to re-scale it based on the two conical sections. I thought that this would reduce it significantly, but based on where the cones are, it actually doesn't change much. I'm thinking we'll get a pretty decent sized rocket no matter how you slice it!
  10. I'm assuming that the Guggenheim signage (on the side of the building) is printed, correct?
  11. Grabbed the Sith Infiltrator 7961 for $45 on eBay. Not a great deal, but decent. I debated which version to get for quite some time and finally decided that I liked this one more than the new one. Better version of Maul, better figures, and I actually think the model is a tiny tiny bit better as well. Plus, I bought it brand new in box for cheaper than you can get the new one... Also, I'm debating trying to pick up the UCS B-wing on eBay... Anyone have any good or bad reviews on it? Thoughts?
  12. Awesome. Does this mean that there will be two venues? One thread for posting and following chatter and one for real confirmed or semi-confirmed information? Just curious... I'd love to be able to check out the true "news" thread during the work week but still have a way to listen in on the silliness over the weekend. Thanks for modin.
  13. In looking at the May calendar, there is nothing about free shipping. Does anyone know if there will be free shipping on all star wars lego items or will it just be the standard/normal $35 or $50 limit?
  14. Why you nasty ol trickin son of a duplo. ... that was hilarious !
  15. That makes sense. It's still a bummer... as it would be a really fun method to get more mini-figures.
  16. I still don't understand why Lego doesn't do the lego minifigure series "mystery packs" for Star Wars. They did Simpsons and other various "themes" in past series... it wouldn't be hard for them to do a series that is all really unique star wars minifigures. And we all know they would sell through the roof... to both kids and adults.
  17. Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but there are fresh pics of the new Aayla minifigure up on some of the FB news/leak pages. Low res but still worth a look.
  18. According to the March 2017 calendar, there is a special tag on the 17th that seems to imply an announcement. It says that VIPs get early access to exclusive sets starting March 17th (once double VIP points is over). I'm suspecting we may know something on the next couple of days! At least I hope so...
  19. Thanks for the post. Interesting press event. They talk about the MF for a bit, but not so much that I would read into it. Supposedly the FA MF was one of the best selling sets they've had, so I'm sure that at an "annual results" conference they would talk it up a little bit.
  20. I'm surprised that no one has been talking about the R3-M2 being sold at the Legoland CA... Hopefully they sell it on s@h, but there is a chance that those of us who aren't near a Lego store may be out of luck... :-( http://www.brickfanatics.co.uk/lego-star-wars-40268-r3-m2-found-at-legoland-california/ http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-star-wars-r3-m2-40268-available-at-legoland/
  21. The only "yellow faces" set I have is the original sandspeeder set #7110. I just went and looked and both luke's and obi-wan's hair pieces have the lego logo on the inside. I'm guessing the Qui-gon is from a set that has longer hair/braids?
  22. Not sure without looking, but I know in the past that a lot of the helmets (that I've pulled straight from the box from TRU) don't have "Lego" on them... So I guess I wouldn't be surprised if the hair didn't either.
  23. I saw this article... It doesn't really say anything new, but may be another "marker" that appears to solidify the UCS Falcon rumors. I don't have any insider info... just came across this on my topical news feed and thought I should post it here. http://groovebricks.com/2017/02/lego-star-wars-2017-millennium-falcon-know-far
  24. This is a slightly unrelated question from most.... I collected each of the Lego star wars "episode" posters that Lego released as freebies over the last year or two. However, I haven't see anything similar to it for Rogue One, even though I was hoping for one. Anyone know if it is headed our way? Will it be a May the 4th "extra" in addition to the usual minifigure? I looked back at last year and between April 30-May 4 you got the free first order stormtrooper with Lego SW order over $50, but then you also got the free FA poster with ANY Lego SW purchase. That's the last one we got, but the timing would be the same if this May the 4th came with a free RO poster... Hoping we get the same this year so I can keep my collection complete... Anyone have insight?
