Happy with it? I've been dragging my feet on it for the last 1.5 years. I love all of the interior and playability... just wish the outside skin was there like the DS2 set. Curious how much longer the 2016 DS will be available. Where did you find it so cheap??

I'm interested to know this as well. It's kind of a side ship, but I tend to enjoy these types of vehicles. Thanks for any input you can provide SVL.

Yep. Just got an email. Works online too at shop at home. The email also states that VIP holders will get access to “exclusIve contests”, “exclusive purchase rewards”, and “exclusive access”... All three have minifigures next to them... platinum r2d2, DJ, and a First order trooper... so I’m guessing the hint is that it will involve a free exclusive minifigure with purchase at some point? Also states that this is the “first VIP black card offer”... so I’m assuming there is more to come...

Thanks for posting this. I don’t think it is a confirmation of what the set could be. It does confirm that Jordan Scott is the designer for a 2018 UCS. Having said that, his list of work is encouraging. Pretty much all of those sets were/are favorites of mine! Such well designed builds that were a perfect balance of “displayability” and “playability”. Hopefully this means big things for what is coming!

- Slowly up from now on. - Definitely undersized. They aren’t crazy small (not close to being half the size) but Id say they should have been 1.5 times bigger. Two intakes should be slightly taller than the main body. In 10240, The two are less than the body height. - Not confirmed as far as I know. - I would guess 5+ years as well. They’ve done two now and there are so many sets to do or redo before this one. I’d agree that the next UCS Xwing will likely be something from the sequels (resistance x-wing / Poe’s orange and black ship)

I LOVED that game. I collected every card from every expansion. Been sitting in my basement untouched for 15 years now... Thanks for the info. I hadn’t thought of using the ccg cards for officer reference, but this is a great excuse to get them out again and try to make sense of these minifigures.

I really like the set and will likely pick it up, but I felt the same way about the ship reduction. It is much squattier than before.

Not sure if this is the best place for this... I have a bunch of vip points that expire on January first. Does anyone know if I use my vip points on a sw set that is backordered, and it ships after the first... will they expire first?

I was thinking the same thing! The Futuron Monorail was by far the poster child of that generation.

I don’t get it either... why do they always feel the need to leave out key elements and then add in these piece-wasting side builds. Add the removable head, delete the random lift platform. Average set becomes a great set. Ta-Da!

Lego Shop has 360 degree spin videos up... Defense of Crait and Achto sets look awesome. Must buys for me. Designers did a good job on that Crait speeder...

I have a suspicion that this set has something to do with the new movie. People say it doesn’t, and I don’t have any special insider knowledge, but I have a hard time believing that the box art of Jakku and the red helmet are merely a coincidence...

Why in the heck would they not do an add-on?? Even just mirroring the bar (so it formed a semi-circle in lieu of just a quarter round) and then adding one similar bay so it could be added to the old one? Then give us Han, Greedo, and two new characters. That would have been enough to make the set incredible instead of lame. I get that they are trying to make things affordable, but help us build our collection. It would have been so easy to make an add-on that could also be a standalone...

I know that the shuttle Tydirium set was only 2 years ago, but a redo of the 7264 set from 2005 would be awesome. Having a mini figure based shuttle set with the emperor, Vader, royal guards, stormtroopers, etc. would be good for sales and a must-buy for collectors. I see it having a good gambit of figures, similar to the first order transporter 75103.

Same with me. They rectified the situation. I was happy with their follow-up and they worked to get it fixed. I just felt the same way you did... like I planned my purchases out so I would get the posters I wanted, etc and they ended up sending me whatever the felt like sending me. I’m sure a lot of people toss them in the trash, but not me. By the way, has anyone heard whether they will offer an episode 8 Lego themed poster to go with the other movie posters? They skipped rogue one, but they better not skip ep 8!!! They made posters for 1-7!

I don’t think it would that long of a shot to get silver/chrome bricks of this ship. Some people may not be into it, but I know I would be. More location based sets would be great if they did them right. Less like a “stage” with a fake back to it and more 360 degree builds like the old battle of Endor, Jabbas palace, cantina, etc. Finally, I’d love to see a redo of the Ucs style r2-d2 that is smaller that the last one, and scales appropriately with the new bb8. Added detail with more features like the new bb8... they would go beautifully together. Even a redo of the really old technic style c3po (but not necessarily all technic) to fit the group... imagine Ucs versions of those three all sitting on your shelf - to scale.

So, I’m not trying to “prove” anything with this post, but this morning I received an email from Lego saying my limited edition mf vip card was on its way... and it had a thing at the bottom saying “exclusive offers” would be offered all year to vips with this card... now we all knew that, but here’s the kicker, it was right next to an image of 3 Star destroyers with the sunlight silhouette on the center one... I mean, come on...
