When you already bought a Creator set I would take this as an incentive to do more of your own designs rather than something according to instructions. If you want a complete set for the model only I would always buy it new or make sure that the seller explicitly says that it´s complete. It definitely is a big issue for someone starting up as you have to work with what you have. Most people here have a huge collection of parts they don´t really use and spares, either through their own childhood collection, pound lots from Ebay and flea markets or by buying sets just for their parts instead of keeping the build complete. Some people here don´t really mind incomplete sets, I would just take parts from my collection as substitutes for missing or wrong pieces of an incomplete set and if a very important piece is wrong or missing and not in my collection I would order it from Bricklink or lego.coms "Bricks & Pieces" service. Incomplete sets are a good way to save some money if the offer still has the parts you want. if you want to free-build with your stuff I would recommend buying a pound lot or two on Ebay to get something like a "starter pack". Auctions like "Lego 10 pounds", from people that obviously just want to get rid of their old toys. Pieces might be dirty (putting them into a pillow and then in the washing machine helps wonders), some broken, maybe even full of non-Lego stuff but it´s essential to have this as a MOCcer and the best way to get many pieces for the lowest price at once, better than your deal above. Lego also has boxes with various pieces with no clear instructions under their Classic line. There are some sets like the now discounted "Creative Tower" with 1500 bricks for 60$, it was often seen discounted for 40$, practically the same as Ebay lots, just that Ebay lots have the chance to give you some complete sets of random themes which is more practical than mostly handfuls of basic square bricks.

I would gladly buy the set, I am only not ordering it right now because the Modular Fire House is basically the same thing. I love my Firestation, it was my first Modular house but displaying them both feels too weird. They are just too similar. I couldn´t take the Firestation apart even though I reasoned that I could always do it back when I bought it because wine-red and grey pieces are so useful but it just feels wrong now. I thought about using the Ghostbusters HQ as a Fire Station as it is kinda superior on the facade but… no… Maybe I should rework the Modular to make it into a normal house for civilians. Ghostbusters feels much more natural for a fire station, isn´t it even big enough to store two fire trucks in the garage depending on the size? The only real design flaw in my opinion is the GHQ opening up towards the side in that weird cutout way. They should have just made it a Modular (only having removable roof and levels, should be possible even with the 30L hose going through the entire structure) or have it open up normally in the middle like Simpsons and Haunted House. It has some lacking qualities like yellow pizzas again when they could have finally been updated or take-away boxes from Big Bang Theory fitting as well but it is well worth the price with the amount of rare parts in large quantities, good facade and exclusive minifigs that still can be sold for quite an amount to get some money back if you don´t care about the movie. I am normally the first person to call out Lego on laziness like the back being a tan/brown blob while the rest of the building has the nice SNOT facade, but it was kind of necessary, I prefer having a bigger building and having SNOT there would either warranted a smaller house or a longer baseplate. The size feels right and I think most people here display it with other Modulars, the tan side could easily be covered up by one of the other houses, maybe try to change some parts if your Modulars are too small. I bought the Palace Cinema not because I like the design but because it was a Cinema and I hope I could improve the design by replacing the roof with something more 50s style and generic. Modulars are always worth it even if you don´t really like the model as they give a big amount of useful pieces unlike Creator sets with their rainbow colored bricks that mostly lend themselves to filling. You consider buying the Reboot Ecto-1? I thought you called yourself a Ghostbusters fan.

Is it normal for orders involving B&P to appear as cancelled on the Order Status page? I ordered something in December, it was cancelled for quite a few days and then it opened up by itself again. Now I ordered something on Thursday and it´s still cancelled. Already wrote an e-mail during the weekend and no response do I have to phone them or will it work itself out? A second order I placed on the same day is "in stock" and I used the single PaB brick trick for both orders and the PaB brick of the second order got shipped now while the other PaB got cancelled with the B&P. For the navigation of the site I have found a trick. Just put an item into the shop.lego.com/S@H cart after going to the check/confirmation page of Bricks&Pieces but before putting the B&P into the cart. It doesn´t work if you leave too much time between putting the S@H item into the cart and putting the B&P bag into the cart. I used a PaB bag as the S@H item. Also another weird glitch: Sometimes I try to add an item and when adjusting the quantity I get a text pop up saying "you exceeded the amount that is included in the set" or something similar. It is B&P for sure, not replacement parts. Other items can be added and adjusted as I wish but one occasionally just doesn´t want to work. It happened with the brown CMF hair from the Friends Hotel and with the small white Ninja Mask from Ninjago (curiously I could order two of that mask even though officially only one is in the set + one as an extra part). They even showed up as out of stock an hour later but two days later they are in stock again and can be ordered normally in any amount.

I made two orders on Thursday, one appears to be cancelled, while the other is still active. Haven´t gotten an e-mail like Dosenbrot but a little anxious now. I think the same kind of dance of "cancelled-not cancelled-cancelled-shipped" happened with my first B&P order in december as well but what is their damn problem? Why can´t they process bricks and pieces orders like a normal shopping site? PaB is separate from the replacement parts system as well and works ok, just do that, or is the service not profitable then? OPs problem is obviously because some idiot mistook a B&P order for a missing piece request. The cancelled order had 50 different pieces / lots, most only 1 to 3 of a part, the biggest lots were 5 dark tan classic male hair pieces and 10 bicycle tires, unlicensed and completely reasonable when I see people on some forums that think it´s completely normal and healthy to order the same Lego brick 200 times every time they buy a set on S@H. In comparison my active order currently in process of being shipped had a 57* 1x2 window glass lot and 20* 1x2x2 slopes which should look more like a reseller even though I need those numbers to fill all my spare window frames and finish a Green Grocer. You can´t ask them to give you that guy on the phone for a discussion? Man, service these days… I would just order again with your moms name or some other relative if I were you. A bit complicated if you have nobody in your vicinity but better than nothing at all. How much did you order? Surely some Bricklink resellers with monthly orders of hundred pieces in quantities of 200 each exist and can still buy with no repercussions. You couldn´t possibly rack up a track record like this with a single order. No part more expensive than 1€ unless it´s huge (like Jabba the Hut or like 6x16 plates) or is using double moulding machines like the new Superhero legs. Not every license is parted out like that, it was only Star Wars in the mid-00s and it apparently changed in the last few years, otherwise there wouldn´t be action figures made from at least two japanese brands now additionally to Hasbro. If Lego wants to sell separate figures or their parts they could and apparently they can, otherwise things like Sabines helmet, Sheevs torso, and all First Order trooper parts wouldn´t be available through that service. Well, if they don´t want to they can limit it or charge more and they actually do limit it as many figure parts still aren´t available like anything related to regular Stormtroopers. Canceling orders after the order is just silly, I think the original poster got mixed up with a replacement parts request since it´s the same team operating these requests. A phone call would surely help. Edit.: well that was unexpected. People always fear this effect because it happens in nearly all other toy brands and Lego offsets this effect by making everything available for years and overproducing their sets in a way. The following three were prime targets for resellers. In case of Cloud Cuckooland and Exo-Suit they now sit on them and have to sell them under retail price to get their money back. Hulkbuster still is being produced but prices normalize as most people have their copy by now. Ant-Man is probably the only true example but only because Lego decided to end production in December making its shelf life less than half a year which nobody anticipated or realized until end of december. Ooooh, I love it when a licensed part gets used in another line. LOTR Elf pike-sword things, lightsaber hilts, even a printed 2x2 tile with aurebesh writing. How did they manage to do it with that tile? I thought Lucasfilm holds a license for aurebesh meaning Lego would have to pay them royalties for the Ninjago Ronin Copter thing because it uses that part. And hairpieces even count as licensed even when they are generic but only happen to appear in a given color only in licensed sets. I talk about Arielle the mermaids hair which is unavailable in red because it´s licensed but fair game in dark red and pink because those were in Friends sets. And a bit unrelated but: How does Lego even determine the prices? 2.23€ for a vintage style motorcycle cover but the motorcross cover is half of roughly that and both look no more or less complex to mould than the other. The Endor Rebel helmet is 2,71€, probably the most expensive figure part I have seen and it´s basically a normal piece with a ring printed on it. I guess they need some more print cycles to get the full ring around the whole helmet and make it continue a little bit on the top but that´s still much. The new Darth Vader helmet and its neck ring are both 2,70€ each. Just why and how?

[LDD][MOC] Mace Windu's Eta-2 Jedi Interceptor
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to LegoStarWarsLDDShop's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Many of the parts don´t even exist, so these instructions are only an alternative to you personally starting up LDD with a Jedi Interceptor file from the "Official sets in LDD files" thread and changing the yellow pieces to purple. It was said already but the point really needs to be driven home. Feels a bit like post-ironic self-parody in this thread. I like that. Stability was never a problem with the last 3 Interceptors, they all fit pretty well. The Obi-Wan one now just uses a 4x6 brick with holes and cut-out, some 1x2 plates with technic pin holes and the two technic parts in the front of the cockpit of the first posts pic of the cockpit. The difference in stability can be neglected. I would recommend the new cockpit because it uses less parts which are generally used very rarely in builds so it´s a good parts sink for your unwanted stuff.- 9 replies

"Battle damaged" Stormtrooper transformation
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to La Chupacabra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Good idea. I wonder if one could do the same with the red Imperial Shocktroopers. Could get a bit tricky with the shins but the helmet looks not much worse than those of the battle damaged Stormies. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, I have so many of the angry clone trooper face and its design is so much worse than any clone wars face ever was. At least one can order unprinted black heads for 8 Euro cents each on Bricks & Pieces now. Or at least I hope that they won´t call this a licensed part next year. Either way, I don´t even care. I just painted like 80 of these heads with a cd marker for various troopers. I wasn´t really for black heads with flesh printing at first as well because the near-yearly changes of soldier figures got on my nerves and I was still in a 05 standards mindset but my biggest problem with that head was that the flesh was off-color in every set. Either dirty white or a southern tan, same problem with the Captain Americas and they still can´t bother fixing it. I assume these two versions come from printing either one or two layers in flesh but couldn´t it be fixed with a layer or two of white and then one layer flesh? Just scrapping the whole idea is lazy. There are so many problems with the clone faces. On the TIE Pilot helmet you have half the fleshy head looking through Helmets with holes for accessories show flesh through them Stormtroopers even canonically have the old black head with face, in TESB Han nearly knocks one troopers helmet off when he gets thrown to Chewie in the prison and you can see the black head covering and stylish mustache (I wish they would do a variant head based on that scene). In the movies all these characters have their necks covered by their overalls which should translate to a black head, in case of Boba a grey head It´s always the same expression which looks dumb and even now that we have a variant with a neutral/closed mouth it still was only used in the Rebels Stormtrooper BP and even then only for half the troopers when it should have been all of them since the market is saturated enough with gritted teeth troopers. Ignoring the heads design, it only made sense for clone troopers to have this head. Stormtroopers are all now canonically recruits and the First Order troopers obviously are too. Even Senate guards got clone heads when it was a plot point in the show that they were normal people. Looking at the 4 battlepacks that got released this year I expected them to take the chance and put in brown and dark flesh heads into some cheap sets but no, only the First Order officer got a brown head which makes the least sense. I haven´t seen a single FO officer that wasn´t a CIS white human while they make it a point in all new works that the rebels are of every ethnicity and alien race but First Order officers are now the most diverse figure family. I expected at least one FO stormtrooper with a black head since Finn was black too. Some mexicans in the rebellion. But instead half the soldiers are Loki and the new Naboo pilot. Well, I guess the soccer/football CMF series is bound to be 90% brown heads with permed 'fros and the more movies show non-flesh soldiers the more likely their inclusion becomes but in the head department all these sets are a true let down. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Weird, I could make an order now by fiddling with the direct link to the buy-menu part of the site. https://wwwsecure.us...ts?chosenFlow=3 Bookmark the link, click it, type in your age and confirm. When it redirects you to the same age confirmation page click on the bookmark again and you can add items to your cart to buy as long as you want and even add it to your lego.shop cart. I ordered it with a CMF pack and even got an order number but nothing shows up in my E-Mails or the Order history on the S@H site itself. I guess, I will wait a couple of days and then phone them up, sounds like they will approve the order then but only if the order number they gave me really is in their system. Btw. Pro-Tip for all future orders: If your order passes the free shipping threshold (like 55€ currently where I am) always order your B&P lot with a set or other item from the normal lego.shop and if you don´t need a set or think they are to expensive put in a CMF instead. It gives you free shipping and since you have to otherwise pay the 1,80€ (or whatever it is in your country) for shipping if you only buy a B&P lot you can think of the CMF figure as only costing 1,19€ (2,99-1,80). The figure is cheap for that price and either you get a nice figure or you can sell it to get your money back. If there are items that cost even less the better but right now there is only the brick separator. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
This site is giving me a headache with all its design problems. Now the option to buy pieces is missing on all of my browsers, only broken or missing pieces or buying them on PaB. Did they put the service offline temporarily, does this happen often? Is this just my Computer? Can´t they just make a shop site like every other place has? Edit: Okay, apparently this is a regular occurrence and it´s back up again. No wonder nobody ever looks at this service. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Okay, so all the pieces you see in the lists are available and when it says "not in stock" it´s just temporarily. I see many figure pieces from Jokerland but most torsos are missing completely like Harleys. I clicked on "to the checkout" after chosing some parts but it just redirected me to lego.shops frontpage. Anybody here who can help me out? -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just looked up the service and Chells legs are missing. Is there a way to indicate which pieces are just currently unavailable and which are never available or do I have to guess? Are there maybe fewer parts available because more people order the stuff during christmas time? I knew of the service before but I remember around 2012 or so I tried to order and when I went to checkout it removed two thirds of my pieces and they wanted me to call the customer service hotline on the phone which came off to me as not worth the effort. Did they reform the system like they did with replacement parts so that it actually works? Really great service if it works. Pirate ship 28L long mast rigging for 2,51€ when most options are 5€ on Bricklink, it´s like another parting of the seas. -

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The entire TFA range is pricier than other sets. I think it´s because of the new movie. Something similar happened with a few sets during the start of The Clone Wars. Republic Gunship for 150€, exclusive to a single store chain so no good discounts and the next version came with a couple 100 more pieces, was only 130€ and most retailers kept it below 100€. Worst offender of the TFA range has to be the Snowspeeder. 50€/40$ for what looks like a 27€/20$ set, maybe 35€ if you look at the piece count but I still wonder how they get 444 pieces in such a small model. It will go away when yearly Star Wars movies normalize. I would also recommend you looking into the instructions of 9492 TIE Fighter, maybe that connection looks better. Or maybe you made a mistake in a step? From what I remember the connection was extremely tight with all those clips and I haven´t heard of anybody else having problems with it. Your TIE looks like a recolored version of the 9492 with slight differences. That set was only 50$. -

Angry Birds 2016 Rumors & Discussion
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to Lordofdragonss's topic in LEGO Licensed
That is just silent approval for something that shouldn´t exist. This kind of attitude just let´s the problems grow bigger. The problem I see is that all Angry Birds figures are just big lumps made out of new moulds with normal arms. Lego only thinks that this is an ok design because people gave silent approval towards superhero big figs like Hulk that should at least have had functional legs but nobody boycotted those so we are here now. At this rate Lego will probably include more and more inarticulate statues with movable heads and legs like Megabloks has in its Spongebob theme. Is this something you want to happen? Some opinions are factually, logically, figuratively and literally wrong and those need to be pointed out. Yes it does, we are getting fewer non-licensed themes because Lego can´t produce an infinite number of different sets and themes per year. Having too many different good themes was also a reason why Lego went under during the late 90s/early00s. Well, those are the only reasons anybody could boycott a Lego theme for, so it´s kind of inevitable. I also wouldn´t call this petty since this is what people here did for over a decade. Bionicle, Exo-Force, 4Juniors, Jack Stone, Speed Racer, Galidor, Ben10 and many others endured the same negative comments. If anything I would call a boycott for this useless since the members of forums like this just make up 5 or 10% of Legos profits, the only way to even have a chance at success would force us to get the five year old children in on this which might be actually happening, seeing how the Hasbro Angry Birds Star Wars toys are still shelf-warming with 50% discounts worldwide but maybe children will be more attracted to these movie toys because a movie resonates more with them than a senseless, soulless franchise mash-up so it could go either way. Simpsons was extremely inappropriate already, being at least 15 years too late, not using normal heads with new hair parts and consisting solely of 200$ kits. This attitude of not allowing any criticism whatsoever, so everything just waddles slowly towards worse visual designs for adults and worse play features for kids needs to go away. I also don´t get all these Egg-lovers in here. It doesn´t have any studs, bars or bar holes and it´s far too big for minifigures. It´s just another example of juniorization and would fit better with Duplo figures aesthetically. You would be better off with eggs from dollhouses when you can´t even appreciate 1x1 studs or Barraki Eyes. I hope people finally get the parody and sarcasm in this post -
DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I never thought there would ever be such a thing as Lego internet celebrities that make their name with infuriating advertising methods like teasing and holding back news. You shouldn´t tolerate this behaviour as it only encourages more people to do this. What do you want? A dozen idiots hinting at little details of that 70% are completely made up just to get clicks on their youtube accounts or 90s-looking blogs or do you want more leakers that actually talk with you about what they know? Ignore these shitty celebrities when they only want to communicate in doublespeak. That would force them to actually reveal news or gets them outed as the liars that most of them are. Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
This tbh. But I would say it´s more that the majority finds joy in mindless babble so it´s less being too old and more being a freak of nature and outcast from society because of your rational brain and thought process. Btw. lol at "the frontpage is getting updated". This thread is the best about it (and still missing details like the legs thing) but looking at any other thread and it´s like 3 months behind or like Star Wars where there is literally and figuratively nothing on page 1 except formal gibberish and a placeholder set info block (presumably because Disney and Lego go 1984 on set info for literally no reason whatsoever). Prelims don´t even leak in a timely fashion anymore, or way too late. We even have some guy giving us all info about two themes and it´s still pretty useless since it´s only minifig info and these designs can change completely and full figs were removed sometimes because prelims are so crap. One is really better off waiting for the official pics around every December and maybe the setname list leak every August. That way you have more time to do things of actual consequence in your life. And especially that J2G thing. Lego only ever releases set info two months before release, except for set reveals from comic-cons (that also always are San-Diego, New York only ever got Bionicle last year and nothing else, stop pretending like there is even a tiny possibility it would be relevant). Why would one single guy be exempt from this? I never thought there would ever be such a thing as Lego internet celebrities that make their name with infuriating advertising methods like teasing and holding back news. Whatever Lego would allegedly do to him if he talked "too early", they would have went after Hulk-smash long ago for leaking news two years in a row and it seems like he doesn´t post from out of a prison or zimbabwian cave so who cares lol? -

Any news on the Sheng Yuan Flash set? I wonder why we haven´t heard anything bout it despite the boxes already having been found. Also would like to know who this one black Flash is supposed to be. I know the one with the red logo is the Black Flash of New Earth, the death of all speedsters but I can´t come up with anything fitting the one with the yellow logo on his chest. Could be Black lantern but that guys logo is white, not yellow. -
Cybersquatting (for anybody who was too lazy to google it) means he bought the domain name "LegoDimensions.com" with the intention of selling it to Lego for a vastly inflated price because they need to have this website for promotion of the new game. Much like in the beginning times of the internet where random people bought domains like pizza.com that they were able to sell to actual pizza delivery services for a fortune. In how far is what he did stupid/unlawful? From what I read on Wikipedia most legal cases of this are won by the squatter so he should be on relatively safe grounds. Or is it unlawful because Lego already was a trademark he does not have any rights for, or because he was in possession of secret trade informations so it would have been illegal for him to use this knowledge? Either way, Polygon and its writers should burn anyway.

DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
Supposing Lego goes with 1:1 copies of the designs in the promo pic everyone reuses existing hair pieces who easily fit on the dolls. Only exceptions are Batgirl who definitely gets a new mould as the main face of the line and Katana where I think it´s more likely that her mask is just white print directly to the head instead of a mould because her entire face looks like one plane on the picture. The line is pretty useless for us and I doubt that the line (including whatever Mattel and other companies make) will catch on with the target audience. Despite what websites like Tumblr tell people, girls as a whole don´t like action-oriented stories, if they do it has to be like Arrow and Smallville and share 75% of its screentime with romance subplots of characters that weren´t even in the source material to begin with and would be better placed in a completely different show. I think most sales of this will come from young, "progressive" parents, that already bought normal superhero Lego sets for their daughters to unsuccessfully force them to not conform to gender roles. Why can´t the few girls that actually like superheroes keep playing with the normal toylines? Having to create new girls-only lines just confirms that girls don´t like the actual thing so why bother trying to sell something to someone who doesn´t want it? -
REVIEW: The Simpsons - Kwik-E-Mart (71016)
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to Adeel Zubair's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the review and I appreciate that you have shown all of the shelves in detail. Is it correct that there are 7 chocolate milk, 4 milk and 4 orange juice printed 1x1 bricks included? Together with the cookie tiles, magazines and food utensils you finally get a nice and big selection of food parts, unlike most sets that are always really niggard with utensils and printed parts. I already have a big collection of food pieces but for a beginner this would be a great starter kit. Nice to see the red apple becoming more common, though I would love to see the annoying green apple banned from Lego sets for a while like they did with the red apple for so long so I can finally get a nice number of red apples together faster. Only missing some reissues of brown popsicles, flesh sausages and brown ice cream balls.- 29 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Navy Trooper Fenson replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They could just update the figures in production and make some new pictures. They already updated the Death Star set to include newer Han and Luke heads around 2010 (which in the meantime became outdated again). I would also guess if they do a re-release it would be near identical to the last set and just have some slight figure design changes and maybe some bit parts changed for better construction/stability/color correctness. Like how 6212 X-Wing and 4502 X-Wing are the same set just different figures, one has a Dagobah hut, the other doesn´t and the nose is grey on Dagobah and white in 6212. Of course I don´t believe in any of this and still think that in a righteous world, which I hope we inhabit, the Death Star will be replaced by a Cloud City of the same kind of design so we could finally get a new classic Lando after over a decade. I just don´t get it, why does everybody at Lego hate Lando so damn much? The X-Wing. After the 2004 Dagobah X-Wings cancelation in 2005 resulted in people complaining enough on the customer service about a new version they released one in 2006 and kept it in production until summer 2011. It was obvious then that the January 2012 wave would have a new version. The 2012 X-Wing left production a short time ago which is probably due to the new episode 7 version which apparently replaces the X-Wing even though they are very different ships but I guess marketing teams do this kind of stuff to people. I doubt anybody has enough confidence in that movie to release a set more than 150$ worth just months after release.
