I wouldn’t mind numerous versions but pretty much all of the wave 1 sets have near-identical minifigs of those two. And don’t get me started on Spencer...

    Whilst I like the theme (as opposed to my boy who LOVES it), the omnipresent near-identical minifigs of Jack and Parker (both sets and promos) are a bit of a letdown. Hopefully more variety in the next wave (boss ghosts?) but not impressed with the leaked Jack (different expression couple of slime splotches) and ghost pirate that looks like a lame instore BAM effort.

    Whilst I love Tokyo, and it's an obvious "world city" to tick off, I'm not holding my breath for a particularly good looking Architecture skyline set. I can see it now unfortunately. A poor man's Eiffel Tower (albeit the nearest to "iconic" of the set given the colours), a replica St Mary Axe/Gherkin, a generic TV mast, plus some pink-purple round single studs (scale) for the blossom and a few printed "neon ad" tiles (like the Berlin Wall). Maybe I'm just still massively disappointed about the Japanese garden IDEAS set that was recently disqualified

    Now out in the wild. Things to note: - First issue minifig is (yet another) standard Jack with selfie stick . - Explains how Spencer became a ghost dog (vrrrooom...squeal...bang...whimper) - Not seen before/as yet in app(?) headless ghost - Next month issue minifig is at least new...ghost pizza delivery guy

    One of the worst GWP’s ever at that level. Recall they did similar last year.

    No sign of the Juice Bar GWP. Hmmm. Is there a timeline or pattern to previous new theme launches and GWPs? Oh and like lots of others, the Shrimp Boat wreck was our first purchase from this theme. Aside from the great value, the design fits superbly with the Old Fishing Store!

    It’s odd they’re in Apple Stores (online and soon to be physical) but the cynic in me suggests it’s just another way for Apple to promote their stuff, particularly their ridiculously fragmented iPad lineup as well as push new iPhones (“new” one expected to drop in September). No coincidence that the app won’t work on many older devices.

    Picked up the Shrimp Boat Wreck yesterday evening. Naturally my son woke me at 6am to build it and now busy scanning with app and fighting the ghostly likes of Captain Archibald!

    Yep requires iOS 11 or above, same as the new minifig Lego Towers app. As for the brick sets, it seems the Juice Bar 70336 (a GWP by all accounts) is out in the wild.

    There’s a video on Insta that shows a clip of the app gameplay, and confirms you can play first-player as expected but also as the ghosts themselves. *edit* App is now available!!!

    Thanks. So how do we explain the recent mid-July eBay sale of ghost knight and rainbow panda then? I could understand a couple of weeks pre-official release but not 6-7 weeks. I still don’t understand why TLG never seem to want to capitalise on the kids being off school over August. CMF series are after all pocket money collectibles.

    What TLG should have said is that “sorry we’ve messed up and annoyed a lot of loyal customers...so we will release all regional releases - including this year’s three CNY sets - to worldwide stores with immediate effect/as soon as supply chain can manage...”
