  1. Imagine an updated Fallingwater. Shame the license deal with Atom Bricks/ART means that’s not happening anytime soon if ever again.
  2. Add me to that interested list too! All subjective of course but always nice to see others opinions especially on how some of the older sets compare with the more recent ones in terms of design, display appeal and also build experience.
  3. Quite. Epitomises the dumbing down of the Architecture theme into a tourist/sightseeing one. As much as I’m completely disinterested in this particular set, always appreciate your really excellent reviews Tom.
  4. Madness. Either release all the sets or none of them. Terrible decision. Like the one to not use a molded head for that shocker of a Gru minifig.
  5. I still kick myself for leaving the last set of the Maersk on a shelf in a LEGO Store back in the day. Saw these sets in the flesh over the weekend - the underwater base is by far the pick, kids want the sub with anglerfish too, and of course, I'll be bricklinking that great white.
  6. Not in Amazon Europe. Had a look out of curiosity and the Castle is now available by the way.
  7. But this is no longer an issue. After the Mr Gold debacle, there’s only been the mystery highwayman and the original policeman. The fact they didn’t have a chase minifig (or even a special one, don’t get me started on that stupid green brick...) for series 20 says it all.
  8. On the subject of blind bags, I remember some other collectibles the kids wanted a few years back (Finding Dory characters, Bandai I think) and the bags actually had a very small transparent window on the back so you could check who was inside beyond feeling, yet without ruining the blind experience if that's what you wanted. Best of both worlds? Before that, there was the bump codes of the early series CMF. However I won't hold my breath for a change despite the obvious pitfalls and virus risks. In a supermarket last week, packs of series 20 was put out into acrylic dividiers along with other small toys. Asked the assistant if they had unopened retail box out back but sadly not. I explained the issue and she agreed. My youngest with me was sad but understanding. I was sent out again last night alone for a few bits and noticed they hadn't sold a single one so it seemed, whereas normally a new series would have been cleared within a few days.
  9. What’s wrong with the old 2016 one? Jamie pretty much nailed it.
  10. Yep it's not an error but I think some sort of marker (or fallen petals) related to the pink Sakura "balloon" on the opposite side of the roof.
  11. Hopefully the videos will be posted in English shortly. Really should have gone up simultaneously given the theme is (at least officially) a worldwide release
  12. Yep it’s already on S@H. Can’t see it being very popular though for various reasons.
  13. Getting easier and easier to swerve SW sets these days. A sad indictment. As for the most headscratching of all, the DS Final Duel, if you’re going to do a remake after just 5 years, why not at least make significant upgrades/changes to the original to be actually worth it.
  14. You mean Fulliautomatix and Getafix No worries, your English is fine. Better than my German. A "good run" just means that both those themes were available to buy for a few years, so AFOLs have had a lot of chances to collect orcs and dwarfs.
  15. I guess that's Greece for you. It's €84.99 on S@H here.
  16. That's 700+ bucks of commitment right there! I'm still tempted by the secret HQ, but so many competing priorities this summer. I actually think it's one of the only sets (along with the Pigsy's Food Truck) priced relatively accurately/realistically. It's the smaller and 3 larger sets that seem painfully expensive/poor value.
  17. Yep, definitely a wasted opportunity as it would have elevated the model much more than a few GITD bits - just looking at those pearlescent panels from the old 4x4 and a bit of drool formed at the corners of my mouth. As it stands, it's undeniably a Lambo but nothing special which for the price, is a disappointment. Agree completely with those who've pointed out the identity crisis between Technic and Creator Expert aesthetics with these models.
  18. I think that's the most likely explanation. Will wait a few weeks anyway in case of likely promo discounts like launch wave last year.
  19. Source? It was always June 1st wasn’t it, so there’s a delay now?
  20. I'll leave you to join the dots. Here's a clue, there's a new Technic model incoming using the same licence as this promo.
  21. Doesn't count I guess but picked up this just-released this Lambo promo polybag...
  22. Just saw this, fantastic MOC. Whatever happened to the partnership and co-promo products incidentally?
  23. Not sure why anyone thinks that Lambo is fake, but to remove any further doubt, I've just picked up this promo polybag.
  24. Like the cancelled Tom & Jerry figs that were actually made, this would have been ideal licensed fodder for Dimensions, rather than a one-off (presumably house-based) set. As for other ideas, you’d think LEGO would have a crack at one of the icons like Astérix or Tintin by now. There’s a ton of source material and play features to consider. If I had to choose - as I did when I was 8 years old - I’d go with the Gauls, Romans etc. LOTR and Hobbit themes already had a good run.
