  1. Looks like two hinge bases facing each other sideways. That's very clever!
  2. The surprised reactions are really nicely done.
  3. Boomerang! And I like the new swirly gold pieces! I expect they'll give an extra amulet - with all the playing that goes on here, that'll likely get lost (I prefer the printed one - though this way it can transfer between sisters/get stolen, depending on the storyline). Also the Venus fly traps, the use of the new half-circle tiles and slide pieces, and that they've developed a different aesthetic for the goblin houses. Less elven floatiness and pointy stuff, more solid with squat arches and curved rather than peaked roofs.
  4. This is excellent! The expanded roller coaster is great. Lovely to see what you can make with multiple copies of each of the sets. What's the top of the swings ride?
  5. That was actually fun to watch! I've never had a baseplate more interesting than the current Juniors ones (one Batman, one Ariel). When I was little, I had only the plain ones - and built only houses, over and over. (And I still build only houses, over and over...) Your video's made me look into picking up one of those interesting ones to move me into another category (even if it's just building castles, over and over!)
  6. Is that a puppy? With a lever tail? That's clever :)
  7. I love the broken egg :)
  8. I think the three more common grades are probably enough - new, used, and describe it however you want but somewhat imperfect (yellowed, [edit: major] scratches, etc.) -- a structurally damaged part I'd only expect to see listed if it's very rare (a one-set part may still be in demand even with chips or a crack). But in those cases you'd likely need to describe it piece by piece, not a generic "pieces may have cracks, holes, permanent marker, nail polish, or other imperfections" statement -- if you've got a quantity of that kind of pieces, I'd put it on eBay in a bulk-damaged lot instead.
  9. I've seen a few... Perhaps this one? http://thefamilybrick.com/behind-the-family-brick/our-lego-winter-village-moc/
  10. Likely fries. The crystal in yellow was put in a red base for very McDonald's-looking fries in Heartlake Mall, IIRC.
  11. Oh! I like that demolition wall in the construction set! And suitcases are always welcome, hello storage :)
  12. Somebody practicing for the build-in-bag competitions? I know quite a few people did that with Mr. Gold :)
  13. No, I expect the photo is just loosely sitting in the printer (with 1x1s and a "bench" piece).
  14. Cute :)
  15. Great! Most of the puppy sets are basically what we've already got in the Palace Pets or current party line, but I do really like the big puppy one, much to my surprise. And the new slide pieces will be very very useful, because everything we build at home (my kid's nearly 5) has to have lots of slides, and the current slide half circle - even if you combine it with plate sections - is just a pain to work around in multiple. The front of the house is excellent - that bay window! - and with a bit of de-pinking (pink and orange together is a bit painful) the gym looks pretty good. I really like the photo printer design as well - I've made a few printers, but never one that looks like the ones in the print shop at work!
  16. That's very pretty! I like the colors - when doing creations with pieces that come only in specific colors, it's not always easy to get such a striking multicolored look. Worked well!
  17. I like the use of Naida and her ship. If you've got travelers, you likely have strange looking people from foreign lands, right? I like minifigs and minidolls playing together. Looks like you had great fun.
  18. Noticed today at my local Lego store (Houston Galleria) that Ragana's shadow castle is $79 (same price as Amazon/Target), even though it's still $99 on S@H - if like me that's on your Christmas list, you may want to check in-store before ordering online!
  19. Thank you! I have a kid brother born in 1990 - he must have been the source :)
  20. Hi! Does anyone know what this is? On the underside are screws in those bumpouts and (c)2003 The LEGO Group ... no part number on the grey part or inside the wheels. I've tried BL's catalog, but I can't find it in any of the categories that seemed likely matches. Thanks!
  21. Proportions are spot on - looks just like some in my closet nice job!
  22. Nice modern design. Don't see much of that. I like the firewood and the rug.
  23. Very nice. I like your green dragon on top :)
  24. Brothers Brick has a Lego bouquet on their blog today, for even more ideas.
