  1. But this does tell lego that there is a very good market for castle based sets. This shows them we still want castle/fantasy sets and that there is definitely money to be made there which should help to show that Lego can produce these types of sets and they will sell well. The 90th anniversary set was voted on by past themes so we know what they mean by castle there is no guessing here. This is not a new big bang theme like Nexo Knights. I think you can be assured that this will be classic castle based but with new techniques like creator has done. If a new castle theme is to come I personally think it will be in a few years as they will need time to develop and create sets and possibly a story to it.
  2. Yes the black parrot and the grey parrot were definitely interesting to use as different birds. The hair piece with the winged crown is really nice piece. I got the minifig pack with Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg. The Korg fig is great and the can be used for many things like an ogre or possibly an orc fig. Valkyrie is a great fig also great for warriors. There is a new Ninjago poster and the villain weapons look good can't wait to see pics of the sets.
  3. We do have the crow from the scarecrow hat from the cmf. We do need an actual raven we could attach to a stud though. Lego has been doing a lot of animals and birds so it's plausible to see a raven/crow soon. A falcon would be nice to have also.
  4. The lady viking with the winged helm looks good. I would like to see the torso prints. Need better pictures to make a better assessment.
  5. I think we have mohst if not all the parts we need to make this set great. We have several different helms, weapons, utensils that will be used in this set. There may be some recolors of bricks. Really hoping for a new barding. I'm sure we will get some nice minifig prints.
  6. Personally I don't like the Playmobil figures and the sets don't lend to the diversity that you can do with Lego. They do have a lot of themes but I don't see it as fun as building with bricks and minifgs are much more customizable than the playmobil figs.
  7. The forestman hat is in the bard in the cmf that just came out a couple of months ago and they have used it in grey in the city sets so that's not a guarantee that it will be in the castle set. So they have been using the mold for various things.
  8. I like the ingots on the corners and the use of the profile bricks looks nice. Fun story too.
  9. That set does have some nice pieces.
  10. I would much rather have them focus on the build and the minifigs than animals. But I'm sure we will get a horse or two. A great castle with nice interior sections and a good variety of minifigs would be ideal. If they throw in animals great if not it's not going to matter for me anyway. With all the animals in the city sets recently it will be easy to pick up animals.
  11. Ok only one lego store out of the 2 in Connecticut even has the Monkie kid sets. I haven't been to the one in Danbury in a few weeks so they might have the new mech. The one in Hartford has no Monkie kid sets as I went there today. I guess it depends on where you go and what each store has in stock.
  12. which sets are you talking about?
  13. Very nice. Great representation.
  14. @cehnot Where is the BAM online I'm trying to find it is it under some other heading
  15. I really liked that set. Still have all the figs from that set. It reminds me of the wolfpack tower with a similar build and I also own that set. This thread is just bringing back all the fond memories I had when getting castle sets as a kid and teenager. I really can't wait to see what this set will look like. The blacksmith and the 3in1 castle sets have really brought me back to my earlier lego days. I actually tore down a lion knights castle I had made to make room for this one and I'm actually going to use the bricks to build a castle for the black falcon knights or possibly a town and castle will have to see what I have brick wise. I agree the golden knight is a great fig. The queen is one of the best and the print is great. The skeleton heads of the fantasy era are the best in my opinion I wish they would bring that print back.
  16. The reindeer mold is the closest to an actual deer as we have right now.
  17. Yeah I thought it was an interesting move we will just have to wait and see where this goes.
  18. That just may have changed with the new announcement with Lego and Epic Games
  19. It does look white to me too. I have the other one from Hagrids hut and this new one seems to be lighter. I would rather have it in another color anyway for more diverse mounts for my elves.
  20. Yeah there is an image of them side by side and it looks like a different shade
  21. Might be but the body looks lighter in color to the last one in all the photos
  22. That new Hungarian Horntail looks amazing. Definitely picking up the dragon. The thestrals are nice and cheap to get again. Buckbeak is a new color. Have we had dark green masonry bricks?. So many new pieces. The red bird is nice hopefully it will be on pick a brick as it's in 2 sets now. Some new hat/hair pieces. Cats with different prints. The tan bat. There is so much there to process. New broomsticks, Sirius black in dog form the new werewolf
  23. I think it should be out later this spring but have not seen anything specific.
