  1. Brilliant! If I didn't know it was LEGO I wouldn't believe it.
  2. Yes, I've contacted the builder but he doesn't have any instructions and is unable to help. Thank you for taking the time to reply.
  3. Hello Everyone As some of you may know I’ve been trying to ‘reverse build' (bodge!) this AC Cobra for my Wife’s cousin who’s busy restoring a real one. https://www.flickr.c...57634985498203/ For weeks I’ve been stuck trying to get the rear right. Due to the ‘illegal build’ restrictions of LDD and my lack of knowledge of the finer points of the 'dark art' of SNOT building I've got as far as I can. I've tried everything I can think of and still can’t get it looking right so I’m hoping someone here can advise me how best to get it right. I'd be very grateful for any advice/help & can send the LDD file if it helps. Thank you.
  4. Thought that might have been it. Thanks for your help.
  5. Anyone know why LEGO stopped producing them?
  6. I've got 5 of these with no use for them yet in mind but I'd wouldn't get rid of them. I'll use them one day, until then I'll just keep building & learning, building & learning until I've the skills to do them justice. Edit. I've just bought an 8366 so make that 7.
  7. Hi arachnid I've just come across this fantastic PF build of the 42008. How you managed to cram so much functionality into such a small space I really don't know. Amazing. I'd be most grateful if you could please send a copy of the MLCad file and, if you have them, the instructions, to ... please. Thank you. grum64
  8. I'm sorry to 'hijack' your really clever little competition Godtshep but by starting it you've inadvertently answered a question I was going to post later. Do all LEGO sets of the same number have the same spare parts? With this topic answering this question it does though raise another. Who, if anyone, decides what sets have what quantity of spare parts and what type those spare parts should be?
  9. Happy to help. Enjoy the build.
  10. I'm hoping to one day have a go at building either Jurgens Ultimate 42009 or the Grove GMK6400. They both need loads of yellow parts which I don't have many of. I have plenty of sets with yellow parts but I like to keep my sets intact and get any parts I need from bargain buys or Bricklink. My problem is time. I don't get as much time to build as I'd like as the Cobra's proving to be time consuming and very, very frustrating (LDD makes SNOT building very difficult!). I've taken a break from it for a while though. Besides building an LDD Winter Lodge (I don't really understand why!) and an LDD Snowman I entered in the recent Christmas Wish raffle I'm building the 42022 Jake & George bought me for Christmas. Until I get this & the Cobra done I'll just keep accumulating parts for all the projects I'll one day get time to do.
  11. And I thought Tescos had it at a good price! Where'd you find it at €105? I've just bought one, my 3rd, used for £70.
  12. Anyone in the UK who's after a 42009 should look no further than Tesco Direct. They're are selling it for £112. http://www.tesco.com/direct/lego-technic-mobile-crane-mk-ii-42009/485-0302.prd Hope this helps someone.
  13. Hi James and welcome to Eurobricks Love your LEGO interpretation of the RC car. I look forward to seeing the rest of your builds.
  14. I've been using LDD a lot over the last few weeks and thankfully I've not encountered any problems. I'm sorry I can't throw any light on the problems you've been having but thought it might help knowing it's probably not a widespread problem. Hope you get it sorted.
  15. Sweeeeeeet! My Technic Guys would love this.
  16. Very nice. Great build.
  17. What a beast! Only the complete lack of time, money, parts and talent stops me building it! Happy New Year to everyone at Eurobricks.
  18. You may think you suck at drawing Zblj but man, you can build! It's brilliant. Jake & George love it also. Hope you're having a wonderful Christmas.
  19. Thank you for taking the time to comment. As for creating LEGO buildings being a slippery slope to madness. I find it enjoyable but as for the madness, I decended that greasy gradient long, long before I started this! I'll certainly heed your advice. I've been tinkering with it today, just making a few changes to the roof at the back. It's now level with the chimney. I'm not really sure why, I think I wanted it to cover the log store more. Like I said, I build Technic not houses, this is my first so it's very much a work in progress. I'm interested to see what it evolves into. Hope you too have a very happy Christmas.
  20. Noooooooo walking please! Like every other cat in Christendom it'll find it's way into my garden
  21. Hi Zblj I'm grateful to you for taking the time to comment on my little build. I'm not sure what it'll evolve into but it's a surprisingly enjoyable way to while away an evening or two while I take a break from the Cobra. Have a great Christmas.
