  1. Wow! This is a nice surprise. I like the smaller size, easier to incorporate into a town setting. It looks great, the animals are so much cooler than just having horses. I really hope those tile are printed. Due to the number of them I doubt they are.
  2. This is over the top! The level of detail is amazing. It must have taken ages to build. It is perfectly executed. The only bad part about it would be the parts bill ;)
  3. Awesome! A lot a great ideas here to use. Thank you for sharing.
  4. This is very nice! I like the small footprint and simplicity. What is the Technic shaft you used and what is the large black webbed piece used as the large centre piece at the rear please?
  5. This is a great build!
  6. Thanks! No sets were used except for one townhouse. Everything else is from the PAB wall, PAB, BAP, and a little bit from Bricklink and scratch built. The Ghostbusters building and news stand were inspired by actual Lego sets though obviously :) I also have a Corner Deli MOD in my town made from 3 sets.
  7. Thanks! I like to always have stairs and each floor come apart. The earth blue building is a 12 wide building I MOCed to fill up the rest of the 32x32 baseplate so I could put it in a block of my town. All my modulars are 7-8 bricks high for the upper floors so I had to use the extra train window for each floor., I wasn't sure how it would turn out but seems ok. Still waiting for the glass from Europe, had to get off BL and very few sellers have the glass in that colour. Here is a pic of the MOCs it will be placed between on my new street.
  8. I like the idea of putting multiples of this set side by side.
  9. I was hoping to be the first. Not quite done but now there are others I will share.
  10. I thought I was the only one :) As for the build, I have been tempted to break up my 31052 myself for the sand windows as a starting point for a modular.
  11. This is executed very well. A very unique and cool idea!
  12. This is great!
  13. This has great curb appeal! Definitely some cool building techniques used. Interesting how you hid the technic bricks for connecting to other modulars.
  14. This is very nice. A good way to use up all those extra green bricks. How did you attach the front canopy? I would like to try to copy your design for my town.
  15. Ahh, thank you. I must have misunderstood what he meant. The same person told me no Batman second wave (I really hope there is) and the next regular CMF series is not until 2018 as you said..
  16. I was told Ninjago for S18.
  17. Next series will be Ninjago. Next regular series won't be until 2018. Same source told me no second wave for Lego Batman :(
  18. Wow! That is awesome! A beautiful addition to your wonderful town.
  19. This is great! I don't know how I missed it when you first posted. I especially like the interior and I plan to mimic some of the roof top on a future build.
  20. This. There were some beautiful sets with great builds we were denied. This could have been part of a CMF series which had astronauts of both sexes from all countries. If they are going to pick a very small minfig project at least still pick a larger set AS WELL for us AFOLs who enjoy buying lego to build, not just display. I agree with others it seems they are trying to be a little too politically correct and as a result ironically angering many.
  21. Having only been back into building for a year and a half I was wondering what are some good City themes Lego has had which are useful for building larger natural dioramas? Not for the large vehicles but for the minifigs, animals, small vehicles, vegitation, etc. Arctic and Deep Sea have been great starting points. I have starting building a polar landscape using some Arctic set pieces and also a sea bottom using Deep Sea pieces. The 2 smallest Jungle sets look to be a good starting point for a tropical type set up. Any pics of larger layouts would be great to see for inspiration also. Thanks.
