In the front close to the lower La's I spot a new piece. It is like an H-formed piece, similar to the new dogbone piece but bigger. Edit: Or is it the the old known 7x5 frame? In the first picture it is a little blurr but in the second it looks like the frame... Edit2: The more I look at it the more I think it is the 7x5 frame. Awww what a shame...

Doesn't look like Lego Did you paint your La's black? -
I think you should reinforce the gears more. These connections look like they will not work properly.

Wow that thing is huge!!! Don't wan't to be the obstacle it will run down while passing it. Edit: What would it look like with the tires from 9398? Could you post a picture please? -
Wow this is gorgous :) I wanted to build something like this for a long time but never found the patience to build it :D And this is a true runner! What gear ratio did you use? Why already dismantle it? Can't this beauty stay with you for a while?

8258 is a truly wonderful set to build. 42008 is a nice build but not so complicated like you would wish but it is a very nice set to get studless technic to know. There is a LA, two mini LA's and a little pneumatic. 42009 is a good choice too necause of its size and complexity. Of these different choices I would choose 8258 but it is expensive now because it is a little older.

Just to get it clear the germans have blue and silver police cars by now, the green ones are the old ones. -
In theory the oposite should happen because of the bigger diameter of the PP tires...

everything you need. If you would want to use more escs then you would have to either cut the BEC out of it or use something like this: http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/208425/Modelcraft-BEC-Entkoppelungskabel-JR?ref=searchDetail The esc seen is a Graupner Navy V15R. Of course you can also use other Esc´s. I don´t know if there is a Lipo savety switch build in. Im using two of these one with the cable mentioned and they work fine. You can connect 4 buggy motors to it without any problems

[WIP] RC Truck Rebuild
bricky300 replied to clarkdef's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
In theory it would be possible to fit it into the rc unit. You could even have the auxilary output and have the included servo. What should be icluded is a 3 channel reciever, a servo and two esc's. Advantages: - many mounting points - could be even a solution for purists when you only modify the interns of the unit Disadvantages: - not as modular - You eventually have to modify the unit for housing a battery pack -

I have some third party stuff for my legos too and its easier than you would think it is but if you do not have any of it it is quite a investion to have a good rc system. Compared to the rc-units it is well worth it tho. If you buy the right esc you can connect and supply 4 buggy motors easily and you don't need much space. A battery pack, the esc, a reciever and some cables. Being able to build small models and also have rc in them is another big advantage. To sum it up, buying a third party rc system is a good idea. I had first bought a rc unit too but I burned it out by accidently shortcutting it and I didn't wanted to buy another one and so on. -

What do you pan to power these four buggy motors? Are you going for two rc units or do you invest in sme third party rc stuff? -
