  1. You could use it in a form of wagon which travels on rails and use a polarity changer which indicates whenever it touches a barrier and unloads all the balls then. In the meantime it would charge up and drive then in the other direction or you could set up a circle and never change direction.
  2. You could use it as a part of a GBC module having it run from one end to the other and being charged while balls go in or out.
  3. Do you are a purist? If yes, forget this answer if not listen :D Going back to the idea of the threaded axle you can just buy some non-lego ones. They come in one meter lenghs and are very cheap. If you take the 5M ones they will fit a standard one stud hole perfectly. It wold be the perfect solution for your problem I think.
  4. Wow what a great moc . Just a question, can it walk backwards too? In the video you only see it walking forward so does the automated walking work also backwards?
  5. Well they have done a huge quarry truck, but in city theme. I don´t think they will ever release one in the technik section. If they release one then it would certainly not be a flagship I think. It instead would be a mini model and would be very much like the city one...
  6. I belive sets shouldn't be to big but instead being more complex. Take 8258 as an example. It is great in my eyes for childs. They learn how gears work together, how outtriggers work and much more. And we should not forget that Lego's main group is childs.
  7. Then it will probably be the battery box, there are sometimes some faulty ones. Simply swap it for another one or if you don't have another one, call the lego customer service, report them your problem and they will send you a new one (maybe you have to send them your faulty).
  8. We (our german legomforum) had a meeting with a truck trail race too. We told everyone just to bring some obstacles and build a truck, then we met and build the course. After that we drove trough it and measured the time evryone needed. Touching the sides of it gave 1/100 second plus. We first build a parcour for the 9398 which everyone drove and then modified it for our models. The winner was who has the shortes time in the end. Second and third place were only 2/100 seconds away from each other!!!
  9. And you should make a very tight chain, so it doesn't break often. Edit: Chain also works with 40 tooth gears and not with 8 tooth gears.
  10. And then add some rc motors to it :D Your son sure would like this ;)
  11. Great manualization ;) I think the 3 colors are good for this model, I can't think of it completly in red. Cusoo is a awesome idea for this small model which is packed full with functions :) only thing to do is to stabilise the steering rack, loking somewhat woobly :D
  12. Just talked to a Lego store employee today and asked him about the servo, L-motor and V2 reciever. He said that they should have already gotten them but there are some problems with delivering them. Maybe because of the 41999? And asked him about the price, he said they don't know them yet...
  13. Great job on hiding the battery box ;)
  14. How much do you think it will cost? I would guess Lmotor something like 10€, but on the price of the servo i have no clue...
  15. I can see that the first two remotes are set to channel 1 for driving I believe he wants to have standard driving and a little more controlled driving
  16. Maybe youcould improve its acuracy by adding another 3 strings which are only connected to half of the arm. So you could control both halfs of the model
  17. Well at this size there should be some kind of suspension: frame twisting :D
  18. Will you redo the rear suspension with pneumatics too?
  19. Great work! You can not just reverse engenier from Lego models but from real cars too ;)
  20. Thats looking great :) Maybe you could post a picture showing the underside of the truck?
  21. If the diameter of the wheel is 5 studs the linear motion you can archive is 5 studs
  22. Wasn't that model displayed on Ideenpark 2012 from Thyssenkrupp in Essen, Germany too? Edit: It was http://www.robo-scope.de/home/einzelansicht/article/schuelerlabor-auf-dem-thyssenkrupp-ideenpark-in-essen.html?cHash=822a6e5be7786b7639c6b19e6c6bc9eb
