the first pic underwhelmed me, but little did I know you were putting me under a false sense of security before unleashing that awesome base. Well done!

haha! nice build, and I'm a fan of the subject too. :)

thanks, Danny, that's the idea, tell some stories and increase my build skills! :) have a sig fig set to go but having a nightmare shrinking any pics down to 100x100 pixels and having it not look rubbish,

Hi everyone. I've only recently signed up to the forums here, but this game seems like it could be quite fun. Have read the intro and FAQ pages, not sure what faction to join, probably Kawashita as I've a lot of red (tho most of it's bright, rather than dark) and I like an underdog. Am liking the latest challenge a lot. Can someone sign me up?

the dragon is great, but it's also really nicely built and photographed there that it draws my eye down towards the horse, and I'm suddenly a kid again, feeling the fear of the animal as it face such a monstrous beast.

the difference between an action figure and a doll is basically down to the accessories. if they got stuff for fightin' they're figures, if they got stuff for housework, they're dolls. Harley might be a doll, but her toys are action figures. ;)

LEGO Freedom Gundam ZGMF-X10A [Demo] *Almost finish

Kira Yamato would be proud. Heck of a build! -
great photography, it's only knowing the size of the pieces that let me realise it's not some mammoth contraption! still pretty darn huge for microscale though.

way I see it, the Nexo Knights are the descendants of settlers from the Ice Planet. ;)

Superheroes were the first few sets I bought after the BTTF Delorean ending my dark ages, but it was the Chima line that pulled me back into LEGO in general, and for its own sake, rather than as just representations of licensed characters. Really appreciated the extra piece count and the quality of the minifig prints. Resisted Speedorz for a good long while, because of he lack of building, but got some on the cheap for parts or characters, and they were actually quite fun. I would have liked to see the line expand with more different tribes, and more characters from the tribes we saw in the show. We got a lot of lions and crocs, but rhinos and bears were very scarce, and they were probably my favourites.

shame. I've only went out of my way to get the baddies Ultimate sets. Got Macy because she was reduced to clear in Tesco, but Lavaria and Flama are pretty nice and unique characters. I suppose the Knights ones are an easy way to get them all, but I got them all in the proper colours in the first wave of sets. These Ultimate sets are a nice cheap way to get some interesting weapons parts, and I've found some good ways to use the bracket pieces and more hinges are always useful.

I really preferred the earlier sets, when each tribe had their own colour scheme. The Outlands stuff was good, because of the new tribes, those arachnids were fantastic. I liked the ice tribe stuff, some very nice designs with the translucent limbs, but the main characters all putting on basically the same outfit was disappointing.

saw the Superhero Girls action figures in Toys R Us the other week. Some fun designs there that I'll be quite happy to get in Minifigure form.

Really interesting parts use here, quite inspiring, and the end result is fantastic.

Marvel/Disney are severely reducing their marketing and merchandising of the X- and FF franchises, have been for a while now, which is a bit sad, but sort of understandable for a few different reasons. Don't expect any X-Men or FF sets any time soon.

Thanks, have been lurking around here for a while, thought it was finally time to show my little plastic face. :P

had a few of these pieces. I'd love some unprinted Chima heads :) Saw some Stormtrooper torso pieces a year or two back. Just recently I saw, and took, a chromed gold crown. Probably the most unusual I've seen have been some non-yellow heads. Skulls aren't uncommon, but I've gotten a green face with red or orange print (not able to check it right now) and the occasional flesh-tone one.

I'm Craggy, or Craig. 32, from Scotland. I've gotten back into LEGO over the past few years and been checking out this forum sporadically over the past year or so. Pretty good source of news and speculation. Am also a fan of comic books, Gunpla and Transformers amongst other things.

An idea I'd had for a while that I suddenly realised in a night. Tied up bits and pieces the next day. Still may remake with better articulation, but I'm pretty happy with it as is. I do have, and can take more, detailed pics if requested.

Blacktron (both of them), Ice Planet, Space Police (1, but the rest are good too) and...maybe Galaxy Squad. Would love to see a Blacktron/Space Police revival. Nexo Knights is practically filling the Ice Planet parts requests.

Chima really made me appreciate what LEGO can do with their own in-house themes. I know the franchise gets a lot of flack, and in some cases rightfully so, but after being enticed with superheroes, Chima was the line that made me realise you can get a load of useful, interesting parts in a relatively complex build and some fun, well-detailed characters. It might have helped that I got into the line when the fire vs ice stuff was just coming out, and much of the older, better, original wave stuff was going cheap on Amazon. I really like each tribe having their own colourscheme and themed vehicles. The later fire vs ice stuff did give us some nice rarer colours and some very pretty minifigs (on the ice side) as well as the pretty cool tribe packs, but by then it was clear they'd kinda lost their way with it. Shame. Like x105Black, I viewed it as similar to Thundercats, and got quite a few sets based on the idea of that. Initially I heavily disliked the Speedorz stuff (not just because of the spelling) in the same way I'd dismissed the Ninjago spinner stuff I'd seen at Toys R Us whilst not looking for LEGO, but they allowed us some additional, or less popular characters at cheaper prices, and that's never a bad thing. Eventually did pick up a few on sale and they're fun toys. I'd like to maybe see an eventual Chima revival, but let it rest for a while. As it is now, a year or two back into collecting and building, I can appreciate the variety of Minifigure parts and piece in general that the line gave us.
